- geekfrom99, on 11/21/2007, -1/+138to add insult to injury, that looks like a really boring book.
- Psythik, on 11/21/2007, -1/+105That customer should have told the Best Buy rep that he tried to update the camera's firmware but accidentally bricked it.
- squirrelza, on 11/21/2007, -0/+101This guy forgot to password protect his photobucket...

Wtf? - darlyn, on 11/21/2007, -0/+55Props to the scammer for figuring out exactly when the only employee around would be a petty cashier.
- supremesonic, on 11/21/2007, -11/+56"Can you say "owned"?"
Owned.
Oh hey that was easy! - theskunkworks, on 11/21/2007, -0/+44That's nothing. I work for Lowes and once our returns clerk took back a table saw (boxed of course) without getting approval from out department. We found it and opened it to check to see if everything was there, there was a ***** ham inside. Management probably would have been pissed but they couldnt stop laughing.
- RedHerringHack, on 11/21/2007, -0/+41Scammers suck.
- coheedcollapse, on 11/21/2007, -1/+38Yeah....that was stupid and unneeded. Even if 360's do fail often, it has literally nothing to do with this thread. I hate when people do this crap on either side of the console argument.
- zeeeg, on 11/21/2007, -0/+31What do you say to someone that tries to return a box with a brick in it? I think all I could do is stare at them thinking "really? you thought this would work?"
- seanthebond, on 11/21/2007, -0/+29I know that we're like that for Staples. The cashiers do all of the returns, so they dont know what they're looking for. The best one was when somebody returned an empty TV tuner box.
- inactive, on 11/21/2007, -2/+29If you are still under an exchange warranty (not free repair warranty) here's what you do:
Wrap your xbox in several layers of thick towels, leave the wires hanging out. Plug in the xbox and turn it on. Let it simmer until you get the rings of death.
VoilĂ ! Warranty not void, typical problem, guaranteed return. - logicalnoise, on 11/21/2007, -6/+31mine is a launch unit and has never faltered. Not everyone has suffered from a RROD
- SAOSiN, on 11/21/2007, -1/+24Why Are We Capitilizing The First Letter Of Each Word?
- romws, on 11/21/2007, -1/+24Something similar happened to me.
I purchased a 360 on ebay and got a box with bunch of old used Plug & Play games.
I only got $200 back after PayPal disputes tho :( - inactive, on 11/21/2007, -1/+23It takes balls to return something like that with the possibility of them opening the box and checking its contents...
- MrTankJump, on 11/21/2007, -7/+28And raise the price for the rest of us...
- Christbait, on 11/21/2007, -0/+20That sucks so bad. ***** scammers. And ***** the stingy/greedy gits at Paypal/eBay.
- AshamedAmerican, on 11/21/2007, -0/+19Look at the pics, they put a very thick book inside the 360, giving it considerable weight. Look at it; it's nearly as big as a phone book.
- duccodude, on 11/22/2007, -2/+2150/50 chance of getting new 360 or starting a house fire. I like the odds.
- slaystench, on 11/21/2007, -0/+19balls or stupidity?
- mllawso, on 11/22/2007, -1/+18P-P-P-P-Powerbook?
http://www.zug.com/pranks/powerbook/ - Antialias, on 11/21/2007, -0/+17play xbox 360 games? He has everything that makes the console work, he doesn't need the plastic case.
- Ajajadude, on 11/22/2007, -1/+17As far as Microsoft is concerned, the warranty then isn't voided.
- domokunt, on 11/21/2007, -2/+17way to let everyone know about your sex fetish for spiderman.
hhm pwnd twice in one day ;) - fungule, on 11/21/2007, -0/+14are people really this stupid, god damn
- thebman990, on 11/21/2007, -1/+15it was probably Ben Heckendorn after he turned the thing into a 360 laptop.
- blankhorizons, on 11/22/2007, -2/+14Get over the bathing suit on the last one, she's got a filthy face.
- evodude, on 11/21/2007, -1/+12You don't have three PS3s, by chance, do you?
- creep303, on 11/21/2007, -3/+14Proud day for you and your family.
- grimstar, on 11/21/2007, -0/+11Sal looks a little drunk in that second one.
Where is Pedobear when you need him. - FDDIcent, on 11/21/2007, -0/+11Kept the parts and bought an Xbox 360 shell off ebay.
- SaladCactusKing, on 11/21/2007, -0/+10I can say "Defrauded"
- justice7, on 11/21/2007, -14/+24This is just ignorant flaimbait. I've had my 360 repaired, and since then i've had no issues. I know several people still with launch 360's and no issues. It is hit and miss, just like anything else. People just tend to get a little more upset about the 360 simply because it has the best games and they'd like to be playing them like everyone else. Microsoft has done the right thing here and extended its warranty -- its not up to you to repair it, MS will do it for you.
- BakedPigeon, on 11/21/2007, -0/+9Lemme guess you work retail, dont ya?
- breakspirit, on 11/22/2007, -0/+9At the Lowe's in which I work, we frequently get people who will buy a gallon of paint and then try to return it. The reason is that all we can do is put it on sale to try to get rid of it. So, they then rebuy their same paint for like 1/10th of the price. So, we have to mistint every returned paint, which shouldn't be returnable anyway, so that people can't pull that *****. I've seen people come to our desk to look for ***** I sold them before and examine their old, mistinted can.
- tchynerd, on 11/22/2007, -1/+9Well it sounds like they were trying to defraud the company which would be illegal. They would say no but they would also (and should) call the cops! It's a straight up conj ob after all.
- inactive, on 11/21/2007, -10/+18Or, people got conned by Best Buy and want to con back. I just broke their windows, with a brick. A freakin' brick!
- Kavok, on 11/22/2007, -0/+8Why don't you have a seat over there?
- inactive, on 11/22/2007, -0/+8A freakin' prick!
- UncleDavid218, on 11/22/2007, -0/+8How about both.
- ZeroVector, on 11/21/2007, -1/+9Theft
- mdinire, on 11/21/2007, -0/+8#1 There was a book in it which "probably weighs more than the 360 itself"
#2 Yes he was on camera but are they going to have the culprit's face on every news channel to find him? - Zarokima, on 11/22/2007, -0/+8Stupid balls?
- thefreak, on 11/22/2007, -0/+7OMG its an inside job. The poster is the one who stolz the Xbox!@ We are on to you sonny!
- inactive, on 11/22/2007, -0/+7It also obviously worked in this case.
- Wingnut233, on 11/21/2007, -1/+8Aside from the weight issue, there's nothing that the police would do, either. I worked at a dept. store, and even though I saw people shoplift every day, our security team could not call the police because the security officers themselves didn't see it happen. All they can do is flag that customer, and get them the next time they do something wrong. If you're stupid enough to do it twice, you deserve to get caught.
- thefreak, on 11/22/2007, -0/+7A guy I know once took back a Ray Stephens tape inside of a Nintendo 64 game package. He had somehow managed to reseal the package. At this same time he took back the Nintendo 64 Memory Expansion pack with the old jumper pack inside. The clerks took it back no questions asked apparently. What is really funny though is that the SAME day a friend of mine purchased the Jumper Pack after it was returned to stock and boy was he pissed off. It took him a long time to finally get a refund.
- computergod, on 11/22/2007, -0/+6That's some fine jail bait there.
- UncleDavid218, on 11/22/2007, -1/+7Buried for blatant racism... not that I really care.
- Firehed, on 11/22/2007, -0/+6It sticks out the top of the Genesis like some misshapen tumor (and, if memory serves, was about as useful).
