- Bigsby, on 11/14/2007, -4/+106God be praised! Gamestop/EB Games, your days are numbered!
- Chirp08, on 11/14/2007, -10/+80If they added multiplayer to the original Halo and released it like this I'd pay 60 bucks for it.
Halo 3 would be *****... - rstarr, on 11/14/2007, -0/+58If Halo 1 comes with Live multiplayer I'll pay double....but don't tell Microsoft...
- CollapseControl, on 11/14/2007, -5/+58I'm really hoping that the implement LIVE into these games. If, and only if, HALO: CE has the Multiplayer connected through LIVE along with Co-Op Campaign, it will sell like crazy. No doubt about it. If it doesn't have the LIVE support, it'll be a nice addition, but worthless to me. I can't wait to hear MORE INFO about this update. If they have the CLAN support as well, the Xbox 360 may have one of the best updates ever, and will truly surpass every other system in existence.
- kinseyincanada, on 11/14/2007, -4/+46why would you download it if you already own it?
- nlatimer, on 11/14/2007, -1/+26I seriously doubt you'll be able to download it if you already own it. 1200 points apparently and you can get Crimson Skies for less than $5 in a bargain bin.
- pazoned, on 11/14/2007, -4/+29If somebody wanted to take advantage of downloadable content, they wouldn't have bought a Core or an Arcade in the first place. Moot point.
- Jwoey, on 11/14/2007, -2/+23You're right. You paid less for your system, but you still deserve all the things that come with the premium system. Makes sense. Just like when I buy coach tickets, i deserve champagne and extra leg room.
- byronm, on 11/14/2007, -6/+27Whats with the video on demand, we have already had that for over a year and i've probably watched 40 movies on it thus far. Are they making the pricing better? increasing the bandwidth for quicker "on demand" or what?
- TotalHalibut, on 11/14/2007, -5/+23Good job they're DVDs then I guess.
- mwolfzorn, on 11/14/2007, -2/+18I remember sitting around playing Halo through XBConnect... That was the most frustrating thing ever. It took forever to get a game going and half the time the connection would just lag out...
- strictnein, on 11/13/2007, -3/+19no, they could still buy an HD if they want to take advantage of this.
- airwalkery2k, on 11/14/2007, -1/+17That's probably the point. Game companies see no extra profit when a game is resold. So, this is just seen as another stream of revenue for companies owning old games.
Of course, conversely, selling your used games to Gamestop, or more importantly, selling them over eBay or Amazon, may become harder, or lesser in value. - afidler, on 11/14/2007, -2/+18i think the pay-per-view deal is about as cool as the downloadable xbox games.
good news, indeed. - aldenhg, on 11/14/2007, -1/+16Amen! I think that online co-op is a little optimistic, but Live multiplayer would be epic. Rockets on Prisoner, anyone?
- gstep, on 11/14/2007, -4/+19I don't see whats so great about this. Microsoft is selling games at 15 bucks a piece which anyone could find for about half the price online. On top of this this games have to be stored on the already crowded HDD (unless you wasted MORE money on the bigger drive). Just buy the game and put it in the console as needed. How lazy are we? Downloadable content is great, but not with 5GB games.
- snyperr2s, on 11/14/2007, -2/+16hopefully halo will be playable on live
- Sairgem, on 11/14/2007, -3/+16I like randomly CAPITALIZING words TOO!
- TheTaoOfBill, on 11/14/2007, -1/+13Well...looks like I actually have a reason to upgrade my Hard drive now.
- rocke86, on 11/14/2007, -0/+12No 80 in a dollar. Microsoft's market research must have found that to be the best conversion rate for impairing financial judgment. Capitalism FTW
- chedabob, on 11/14/2007, -2/+14You're confusing Microsoft with Sony.
- shredswithpiks, on 11/14/2007, -1/+13this is completely useful and on-topic information.
- colincornaby, on 11/14/2007, -0/+11I never played Fable, I'd certainly like to go back and play it.
- deftskier, on 11/14/2007, -2/+13Who actually uses those terrible browsers instead of their computer.
- theinept, on 11/14/2007, -0/+11Maybe (PLEASE!) an international roll out?
- therightclique, on 11/14/2007, -0/+11why the ***** can't you just read the article? its only 2.1 paragraphs.
- amsoell, on 04/20/2009, -2/+13Really, they're making you buy the games you own again? They're automatically charging your credit card for all those games? That *is* ridiculous!
Oh wait... you can just play the games you already own, just like you have been for two years, instead of buying them again? Oh, just do that then. - ScionX, on 11/14/2007, -3/+14"Halo 3 would be *****.."
Which is why they probably wont add on-line multi-player to it. - opticsnake, on 11/14/2007, -1/+11Because the game will likely have Live support and gamerscore points
- RaGaGoneHome, on 11/14/2007, -2/+12Dude, you missed the boat. ...and what are you talking about before there was online support for Halo CE? coo coo
- LetsGoHokies, on 11/13/2007, -2/+11Buy a frickin hard drive.
- knodi, on 11/14/2007, -1/+10I'm hoping he update brings Dvix and Xvid support too.
- Hoogs, on 11/14/2007, -3/+11This is awesome. I wonder if there will be achievements, maybe adding up to 200 points similar to arcade games?
- supdigga, on 11/14/2007, -2/+10The future is the past!!!
- TheTaoOfBill, on 11/14/2007, -0/+8Damn it guys, Stop saying "I remember Halo 1" It was like 6 years ago.
You're making me feel old. - amsoell, on 04/20/2009, -0/+8All of the games listed are included in the backwards compatibility. Anything else to whine about?
- chedabob, on 11/14/2007, -1/+9The 60gb has flaky BC. Granted it plays more than the Xbox 360, but Microsoft never promised full BC, Sony did though.
- therightclique, on 11/14/2007, -0/+7come on man, RTFA.
- djphatjive, on 11/14/2007, -2/+9This would be so awesome if you could rent them. Game rental for a week $3.99. How cool would that be.
- Bostocks, on 11/14/2007, -3/+10Agreed, I miss the original maps and the pistol not sucking. It would be a lot easier if they would just integrate the halo 1 and 2 maps into a halo 3 map pack though, how hard could it be?
- sprag80, on 11/14/2007, -5/+12I have a 360 and I love it. Last night, I watched a cool horror movie off the 360, "Isolation", and I played some Tiger Woods 2008 in career mode.
I used to be a 100% PC gamer, but that has changed with the 360 and HD. However, I can't wait to play Crysis and UT 2008 on my PC.
It's the best of times for this gamer. - loxx500, on 11/14/2007, -2/+9I thought that was what he said?
- CyrusG, on 11/14/2007, -0/+7It's a European roll out. Sadly, no word on Canada.
- rojano17, on 11/13/2007, -0/+7you don't HAVE to do anything, if you already own it then...wtf would you want to buy it again anyway
- Crosshare, on 11/13/2007, -0/+7Yes
- inactive, on 11/14/2007, -1/+7This is digg! The (checking bungie.net) 850k unique players on Halo 3 in the last 24 hours are somehow less inteligent than the 20-30k unique visitors Digg has had in the last 24 hours. Because Halo 3 is bad, because Diggers declared it so. Get it?
- frostyfrog, on 11/14/2007, -1/+7I believe this is for Europeans, as they do not have a Video Marketplace yet.
- cawpin, on 11/14/2007, -3/+9No.
- antiver, on 11/14/2007, -6/+12Because CDs are stupid.
- Christbait, on 11/14/2007, -0/+5It means in the EU. People outside the US don't even have any kind of movie service yet, not to mention the XBL Marketplace we get is so gimped compared to the American version, yet we pay about $30 more for it.
