- LimeParrot, on 12/15/2007, -0/+3He has some really good points. I think Bungie should have a group discussion with the top Halo 2/3 players to decide on minor changes that would improve the games' multiplayer. If that sounds ridiculous, you should know it's nothing new. Blizzard similarly finely tunes its complex strategy games likes Starcraft and Warcraft 3:TFT (and has asked great Starcraft players to beta test Starcraft 2).
- zoziw, on 12/16/2007, -1/+2Interesting article. I agree with the comments about melee combat.
- Wohmfg, on 12/16/2007, -1/+2Yeah they knew how to use certain things to their advantage better than everyone else. That's skill.
- Wohmfg, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1The thing is, Bungie have SAID they've been listening to the competitive community for a while now, and did you see their Team Hardcore playlist? It had things like VIP and motion sensor for friendlies that were not asked for at all. Bungie had the beta as a chance to sort their ***** out as well, and I admit some things changed, but there were still major flaws in the competitive sense, like the spread on the battle rifle and the carbine being weakened.
Matchmaking match variants would be fun to play with your friends in a chilled environment, they're unpredictable and at times unfair and that what makes it exciting when you're not bothered about losing. But when there's competition, other people's advantages and them getting lucky piss you off.
Halo 3 is an awesome game, but if Bungie could just listen to MLG and their competitive fans like they did with their community inspired playlists in Halo 2, no one would be complaining. And to the people that say that Team Hardcore shouldn't be an MLG playlist, MLG is the definitive competitive Halo league. The casuals have plenty of playlists to choose from, so they should just listen to the MLG community and add ONE decent hardcore playlist. - ntlpunk, on 12/16/2007, -1/+2i don't know, i don't loose often, i am actually pretty good and i never loosed a game of halo 2 in my life. I never play halo 3 because it is much of the same only worse, so bungie is loosing me as player, not that they need me but in my eyes they have loost...
- Wohmfg, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1It's irrelevant that Bungie consider it cheating, you still need dexterity in your fingers to pull off the double shot and bxr. Some can do it better than others, this is skill. They use this skill to gain an advantage in leagues where these glitches are perfectly legal. Nobody cheats the system in leagues, everyone can use these glitches.
- Nobi-Wan, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1Are you typing with your elbow, by chance?
- inactive, on 12/16/2007, -0/+1I Halo 3 matchmaking sucks, then every other games matchmaking must REALLY suck, because Halo 3's matchmaking blows anything else out of the water.
- Nobi-Wan, on 12/16/2007, -1/+1Using glitches to gain an advantage is not skill. It's "unsportsmanlike conduct" according to Bungie. There's even a feedback selection just for that.
- Nobi-Wan, on 12/16/2007, -1/+1Maybe you should spend more time "reading" and "doing homework" so you'd at least know how to use proper grammar. I think that's more important than if you "loose" in Halo.
- rrishabh05, on 10/08/2008, -0/+0Halo 3 is the third game in the Halo Trilogy.
It will provide the thrills to the events but for multiplayers it is unnecessarily gives some of the features.

- logicalnoise, on 12/16/2007, -2/+1it's a ginat poorly formatted wall of text that is just some guy bitching because he was good in halop2 and bungie rebalanced the game away from his stupid tricks(oh bungie made falling melees less powerful? well the learn anew strategy like popping afew shots off beofr eyou hit them.. The maps included are arguably worse but being able to edit them leaves no excuse.
- Nobi-Wan, on 12/15/2007, -2/+1Halo 2 was ***** compared to Halo 1 and 3. I'm glad they decided to change a lot of the balancing issues. Halo 2 had MASSIVE auto-aim along with other glitches that allowed "top" players to cheat the system. They weren't good, they just knew how to use certain things to their advantage.
- flarevulca, on 12/23/2007, -1/+0yeah well the starcraft players they interviewed didn't go changing all the damn rules before they played
- Av3nger, on 12/15/2007, -3/+2Oh come on, seriously... How many more people are going to bitch about the online play because they're always the one's loosing?
"In all honesty, getting beat by players who have less skill than you, especially when you know it, hurts. It hurts even more when you know it's because of how the game was designed."
How many players ranked high than you are saying that when you're the one using all of the strategies you mentioned against them because you are now suddenly the one with the least skill?
I know when I say this, posting crap like this only goes to show you have no common skill for the game and take the heat out by winging about something you really can't complain about.
Buried. - truspect0r, on 12/15/2007, -3/+1It doesn't matter anymore because hype sells. The x-box is known to grow up fanboys of their own and I'm part of it. I love the x-box so much because I can play tons of FPS games with an analog pad and even after 4 RRoDs.
