- vp0ng, on 11/12/2008, -0/+7That is actually the correct way for a zombie to behave. Zombies just stay put until they see someone or hear something move or make a sound, then they go towards it. You could have a room with a zombie in it, he wouldn't move for years, but if you came back and opened the door, he'd still be there and pounce you. A good reference is the "The Zombie Survival Guide"

Try expert and got our arses raped. Haven't even bothered to try beginner or normal, but based on advanced I'd imagine you can do those unarmed.
- bubba9999, on 11/12/2008, -0/+5Gotta disagree with you there on several points. You have your choice of shotgun, Uzi, or pistols to begin with. You can pick up an AR15 in a later level, which is a blast. The range on the shotgun didn't seem out of place to me - maybe you played it on easy or something like this guy did? I switched to pistol for longer range shots each time anything was over 10-15 feet away because it wasn't a definite kill.
I thought the sound was crazy awesome. When the first zombie rush came in the house, it freaked me out because you could hear them skittling on another floor before the deluge of brain eaters appeared. The "kid crying" sounds in the generator room took me back to Thief 3's haunted nursery. Really well done.
I really enjoyed playing the demo, and I didn't think I would because I'm normally not a zombie game fan. Try playing it on normal or expert. Or maybe this one's just not for you... - slurba, on 11/12/2008, -1/+6It's too bad that these aren't the undead zombies that everyone thinks of, but rather infected humans which are altered to be in constant pain and anguish. They only attack you because of how angry the virus makes them. When you see them against a wall get closer and you'll notice by their expression that they're in extreme pain. Sometimes they'll even cry or vomit.

Demo is amazing. Already played it for 6 hours, and that's on this demo that has only 1.5 levels of the final game's 20 levels. Their servers are fantastic. It's a problem with the connection between you and the servers. Make sure your network is properly configured for Steam. Not having the proper ports forwarded on you router will cause all kinds of badness.
