Top 10 most anticipated Xbox 360 games of 2008 still to come

destructoid.com — Even though the year is almost halfway over, Destructoid still thinks the best is yet to come for the Xbox 360 this year. Here are two different editors’ most anticipated games lists for 2008.

        However Rainbow 6 Vegas approach lends itself more to the style of gameplay and I enjoy it a lot.
        To be fair to GOW at least they it tried to do things differently - but it still seemed like more of a graphics showcase than a gameplay showcase.

    3. Why no Ninja Gaiden 2 on the list? Brütal Legend, anyone? I see both of those are on the second list. Put them on the first.
    4. If a game has the name "Conan" in the title (especially if it isn't followed by "O'Brien"), it does not belong on any Most Anticipated list. Notice how the second list manages to fit both NG2 and Brütal Legend on the list, and with no ***** Conan title in sight.

        People used to say that FPS games couldnt be played on Consoles (and I think we know now that many millions of people do that and are very happy with it).

        But I have to agree that seeing The Legend of Zelda, Mario, or Metroid on any other console other than Nintendo's would be very creepy. Though, imagine what the graphics of the PS3 and Xbox 360 can do with Zelda or even Metroid. It would be killer to see what the graphics would be like on those consoles.

          • B1663r, on 04/30/2008, -0/+2From a game play perspective MGO is already a let down, and as I predicted the MGO beta news has been utterly crushed by the GTA hype. MGS, at this point in the console cycle will come off as an also ran FPS stealth action shooter. But it probably won't ever be released on the 360.

            Then for plat-formers... While LBP looks utterly engaging to me, and I will probably buy a ps3 for it and singstar(Boom boom rocket was my first rhythm game experience, since then I have moved onto DDR, GH and RB, I have become a rhythm game junkie of the first order!!!) all the buzz around plat-formers right now seems rooted in Banjo Kazoozie.

            I have noticed this trend where if you announced and previewed a game in E3 2005, here in 2008, it is sort of ho hum.

So for now that's an exclusive. The MGO beta sucked, but i don't think that MGS4 will cause all the previous games rocked.
