This is absolutely pathetic: Bully: SE for the 360 is broken
neogaf.com — Various forums are buzzing with reports of complete system lockups during gameplay in Bully: Scholarship Edition for the 360. There's also frustration from the unstable framerate and audio glitches. This is NOT just an isolated issue and Rockstar needs to be held accountable for releasing the game like this.

- scbysnx, on 03/06/2008, -3/+11I want pancakes... waffles bother me because the syrup and butter get trapped in the holes so there is a heavy disparity from hole to hole in terms of amount of butter and syrup
- spyrochaete, on 03/06/2008, -1/+21That's why you take care when allocating the syrup and butter. Waffles are YOUR responsibility! Man up and take your waffles seriously!
- Matteos, on 03/06/2008, -1/+1Mmmmm... Sweet holes...
/drool - GliTCH82, on 03/07/2008, -0/+3I'd much rather have the extra control you get with a waffle grid for syrup and butter allocation. Pancakes have a semi-smooth, semi-porous surface that tends to let gravity have its way with your syrup and butter. Total chaos.

- deevay, on 03/06/2008, -2/+6true dat
- popfrogs, on 03/06/2008, -1/+4You got that right. 2 weeks ago I went to the asian supermarket and in the entryway a woman had a table set up and was making waffles with 4 little home griddles. They smelled great and there were people lined up. Grabbed one on the way out, delicious...and it was 9.30 at night.

- swiftekho, on 03/06/2008, -3/+4Yeah, I got half way through a mission at the end of the first chapter and it just froze. I returned my game and got Army of Two. It's a shame though, Bully was really good up to that point.

Seriously, that wasn't sarcasm. I wouldn't have thought.- Nobi-Wan, on 03/06/2008, -7/+180Even the POTENTIAL takeover of EA has influenced the quality of Take 2/Rockstar games. Scary.
- theaceoffire, on 03/06/2008, -3/+23So shouldn't they offer to takeover all other companies, to make them seem higher quality?
- blorguehad, on 03/06/2008, -3/+7I absolutly hate EA. but I don't hate the games.
- misterdrumz, on 03/06/2008, -1/+1the only good thing about EA is that they have serious pulling power for soundtracks. Burnout Paradise and The Need For Speed games always have a decent lineup.
Other than that the games are identikit replicants of last year's nba/nfl/nhl/fifa season

- daridave, on 03/06/2008, -3/+7F*cking fanboys, grow up. What's next, we're going to blame the PlayStation 3 when a movie sucks ???
- radioshaq, on 03/06/2008, -0/+4Well, that really depends, daridave. If Sony made the movie, I'd blame them but I would also blame their products (including the PS3) for providing them the money to produce such a terrible movie. If Sony had nothing to do with the movie, blaming the PS3 would just be ridiculous. Hope that answers your question.
- mattacular, on 03/06/2008, -5/+3Uh besides the GTA series Rockstar has made some of the worst games ever.
- Nobi-Wan, on 03/06/2008, -1/+5Red Dead Revolver? Midnight Club? Bully?
They're all decent to really fun games. I'd say the "worst games ever" would have to be from some of the 3rd party developers on the Wii.- Monk22, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2state of emergency was ***** horrible
- BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -1/+1Oh man, i loved Red dead revolver.. I wish they'd make a sequel for current consoles..

- eyefork, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2Rockstar Games only published the Wii and 360 versions and a dev company called Mad Doc Software actually ported the game. But I still think Rockstar should have caught this before releasing it.
- Nobi-Wan, on 03/06/2008, -7/+180Even the POTENTIAL takeover of EA has influenced the quality of Take 2/Rockstar games. Scary.
- AwesomeMonster, on 03/06/2008, -2/+72You'd think this would come up in the reviews, maybe the review edition was more stable...?
- dansmeek, on 03/06/2008, -0/+14some 'near-release' games are played on the developer-consoles, as the product may not have been gone through the final stages to have a fully playable unit that works on a standard 360. Also, they may have noticed the freezing but may have been told it was a resolved issue, or what not.
or it's possible they simply reviewed the PS2 game and figured that would be good enough. - JulyZerg, on 03/06/2008, -13/+6Ah, but review sites are so corrupt they're paid to "ignore" those incidents. Just look at GS and Gersstman.

- 0x0000ff, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2as per dansmeek, a retail 360 will only play retail discs. If the game is being reviewed before print, it obviously won't be on a retail disc.
- Responder656, on 03/06/2008, -3/+25AwesomeMonster is right. The critic reviews do not reference the game's issues that the digg submission mentions.
http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/ ...- ronaldmonster, on 03/06/2008, -2/+3Weird, out of all those reviews 1up is the only one to mention technical problems. I wouldn't be surprised if they ignored it due the fact the 360 has a tendency do that when the HDD cache has some corrupted data.
- time4wrk, on 03/06/2008, -1/+1You think they are trying to pull a gamespot review of Kane and Lynch on this game?
- Christbait, on 03/06/2008, -3/+29Should've got EA to do it.... now THAT was sarcasm.
- tobikow, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2As a matter of fact, some gamers (such as myself) decided to boycott EA because they ***** everyone who bought Battlefield 2 in the same way. I don't own bully or any rockstar games, but maybe you should take action?
- EXreaction, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2BF2 sucked. We had one topic on a forum I visited that was a few thousand posts long within a few months of the games' release just for people asking for help with BF2.
I thought the demo was better than the actual game, or at least it was for the price (and the demo actually worked!).

/Boo! - neiltc13, on 03/06/2008, -9/+4My PAL copy will be with me later today thanks to the wizardry of online retailers sending games out early.
I sincerely hope this is not going to spoil my fun. - dansmeek, on 03/06/2008, -8/+17EA has obviously already infiltrated RockStar to help their new love interest do what they do best: make ***** products.
this will make the inevitable EA takeover easier to swallow. They are basically doing us a favor: by seeing ***** products now, we are less likely to notice such differences when EA owns them. - tedlove, on 03/06/2008, -27/+5who was dumb enough to buy this game though?

- Cipherr, on 03/06/2008, -14/+19I love how all the major online gaming pubs reviewed this steaming pile and most rated it higher on 360 than on Wii. And none of them mentioned the humongous pile of crappy bugs this game has. So I bought the 360 version over the Wii version and got ripped. I had to trade it in towards the Wii game but I lost a TON of value on it because I didnt get nearly as much as I paid for it. This nonsense has to stop. Review the games fairly people. The Wii version is very superior btw, none of the stupid freezing. You can actually play the game. This makes me sick.
- IAmKalec, on 03/06/2008, -2/+27Why didn't you just return it? If the game doesn't work then you can get a full refund.
- GOVATENT, on 03/06/2008, -3/+14cause it is easier to complain about it
- Azriel7, on 03/06/2008, -1/+3Depends on where you got it, the local gamestop here will not allow games to be returned once opened, you can only trade it for another copy of the same game.
- IAmKalec, on 03/06/2008, -1/+6Yes if its opened and it works you can't return it for a full refund. But if i open up a game put it in my console and it doesn't work/freezes up constantly and is unplayable you can return it for a full refund.
- emjaymj, on 03/06/2008, -9/+1I downloaded the Wii version and I have to say it's surpassed my expectations by far. I was expecting something lame like Rockstar's own "State of Emergency" but it's a pretty polished game with a lot of depth. Definitely worth a buy if you've never played the original.
- vd0man, on 03/06/2008, -0/+3You...downloaded...the Wii version?
- Brettus, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2I apologize if this comes off as insulting - but why the hell would you just turn it in for trade in credit? The ***** was broken - you get a full credit. Have patience, balls and a sense of consumer rights next time - you will save yourself lots o' money.
- brendoman, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1Like they said, you could have returned it for a refund. Defective merchandise can be returned for cash anywhere. Also, I personally don't know anyone who has experienced these errors. It obviously doesn't cause crashes 100% of the time so there are probably a majority of folks out there who aren't experiencing the errors. This is similar to the whole RROD thing. Yes, it's important that people who are experiencing these errors get the word out, but with the amount you hear about it on the internet you think the majority of people are experiencing these problems when in fact it is a small percentage.
- IAmKalec, on 03/06/2008, -2/+27Why didn't you just return it? If the game doesn't work then you can get a full refund.
- Cryoniq, on 03/06/2008, -8/+47Stupids! It is not broken! It is a FEATURE!
(works very good on Wii :P )- Shamrock6699, on 03/06/2008, -16/+5They can patch the bugs on the 360 version. They can't patch not having the game run in HD and updated graphics on Wii. ;-)
- AntzNZ, on 03/06/2008, -1/+8defensive much?
- Shamrock6699, on 03/06/2008, -4/+1Truth hurts?
- AntzNZ, on 03/07/2008, -0/+2I don't own a console. If I did I'd get a 360, doesn't mean other consoles don't also have advantages.
- Shamrock6699, on 03/06/2008, -4/+1Truth hurts?
- EXreaction, on 03/06/2008, -0/+5Games were much better back when they couldn't patch things. It seemed then that game developers actually decided it was better to wait for a good product than send it out and release patches even before the game is available for sale.
- complexigon, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1You're saying that before online connectivity, games didn't have bugs on release? Wake up!
- BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1He didn't say before online connectivity.. Just think, when games were on cartridges.. even playstation cds... there's no patching possible. So the games HAD to run perfectly .. if they didn't play well then thats it.. nothing they could do. Reviewers didn't say stuff like "well here there's a little problem, but im sure it'll be ironed out in the next patch".
Now the games come out already expecting to be patched.. the reviews overlook things like this and because the possibility to patch is there, it happens more and more.. What I hate the most is games like Vanguard that come out way before its time but its still in freaking Beta.. then people buy the game and already they are waiting for a miracle to fix their game.. then when the patch never gets there, they lose interest..

- s1mph0ny, on 03/06/2008, -5/+1Because it has OVER 9000 pixels!
- emjaymj, on 03/06/2008, -2/+6You can't patch motion control for the 360 version either, big deal. I got over the 360's graphics 10 minutes into playing it. Having twice as many pixels REALLY doesn't make the game any more fun.
- Shamrock6699, on 03/06/2008, -8/+1Motion Control...lol
It's a ***** accessory. They could of made a Wii Mote for the gamecube and saved everyone 250 bucks buying a new console. Because we all know they sure as hell didn't upgrade anything graphics wise from the gamecube. Hey, I'm sure you guys just love your Wii though when 360/PS3 owners are playing games like COD4, BioShock, Mass Effect, etc and you guys get Cooking with Mamma 2. LOL - bobthegreat1224, on 03/06/2008, -0/+3@Shamrock6699
If you want to talk about high quality exclusives, you sure as heck don't want to argue against Nintendo, now or historically. Nintendo's IPs are household names, and they do an absolutely excellent job with almost all renditions of those IPs. I bought a Wii for the sole purpose of playing Mario, SSB, Metroid, and the like, and it's a decision I have felt absolutely justified in with the release of each new AAA title. - BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1as the game been revamped though? does it look nicer than its previous gen title?

- Disastorm, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2I think most wii owners are pc gamers as well, so we actually do get to play games like BioShock, Assasin's Creed, etc. THe reason to get a console is not to play the same games I can play on pc. I get a console to play different games.
- daridave, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2And the award for the stupidest comment goes to ... Shamrock6699. No, seriously, what the heck was that... ?

Also, WHY are there all the load screens????? The GTA series has a much larger environment with no load screens. Couldn't they figure out how to do it with Bully?- MasterGrief, on 03/06/2008, -0/+7Bully was developed by British Columbia-based Rockstar Vancouver-- Grand Theft Auto was developed by Scotland-based Rockstar North and England-based Rockstar Leeds.

- BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2No.. Canada does not fail... The first Bully was done by Rockstar Vancouver and ran just fine on the PS2..
Mad Doc Software is the one porting it to the 360 and Wii... The company is based in New England in Andover, Massachusetts, just north of Boston...
So does that mean USA ***** fail?- Myonosken, on 03/06/2008, -0/+4Yes it does.
- BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2No.. Canada does not fail... The first Bully was done by Rockstar Vancouver and ran just fine on the PS2..
- Myonosken, on 03/06/2008, -2/+3Canada ***** fail.
- Richggs, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1Actually if this is how high rockstars QA reaches it wont matter who develops it.
- FordSVT1, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2I remember the days when console games had to be released bug-free and silly patches were the unfortunate domain of PC gaming. Unfortunately, console games are going to same road. "Release it now, fix it later" is *****.
- BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1Mad Doc Software is responsible for porting Bully to 360 and Wii.
- MasterGrief, on 03/06/2008, -0/+7Bully was developed by British Columbia-based Rockstar Vancouver-- Grand Theft Auto was developed by Scotland-based Rockstar North and England-based Rockstar Leeds.
- Myst3r1o, on 03/06/2008, -1/+6Damn, that sucks. Luckily I got the game for the PS2 way back when, but still, if I had picked up the 360 version, I'd be pissed as all hell.
- RandoTheKing, on 03/06/2008, -23/+6Microsoft should be responsible for a ***** system.
- BruceDude, on 03/06/2008, -2/+15The system's hardware is not *****. The cooling system is!!
This has no impact on game performance. The glitches are Rockstar's problem.- MWeather, on 03/06/2008, -1/+3So the cooling system is software?
- BruceDude, on 03/06/2008, -2/+15The system's hardware is not *****. The cooling system is!!
- joshikus, on 03/06/2008, -1/+301up mentioned in their review about the random lockups
- wastedlife, on 03/06/2008, -0/+6Yeah they did, and now they're bankrupt.
- Dmao, on 03/07/2008, -0/+1I guess telling the truth about ***** games in reviews means the cheque doesn't come in from the game companies?
Let's ask an insider like Jeff Gerstmann from Gamespot.....oh wait....
- Dmao, on 03/07/2008, -0/+1I guess telling the truth about ***** games in reviews means the cheque doesn't come in from the game companies?
- wastedlife, on 03/06/2008, -0/+6Yeah they did, and now they're bankrupt.
- Malarie, on 03/06/2008, -9/+2I dont care.
- EXreaction, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2Enough to troll obviously.
- whatthefu, on 03/06/2008, -1/+9This sucks because Bully was a fun game and I wish people could enjoy what they paid for for once instead of having technical issues.
- PHiZ187, on 03/06/2008, -9/+14This is so lame, it's not like the xbox360 is hard to develop for. It is a PC, plain and simple. Except you don't have to optimize it for a bunch of different graphics cards like with a build your own PC, all of the Xbox360s have the same graphics cards... Fail.
- childprey, on 03/06/2008, -1/+6different microprocessor architecture dude. PowerPC is not x86, as apple will show you.
- jo21, on 03/06/2008, -4/+2the thing is for gaming they all are powerpc.
- tobikow, on 03/06/2008, -4/+2I dont think that the 360 has powerpc hardware, but sony's revolutionary "cell processor" Is similar to one of those found in an old mac. Runs PPC linux though!
- macromorgan, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1The Wii, PS3, and Xbox 360 are all based on IBM's PPC designs.
I don't know much about the Wii's chip (other than it's designed by IBM), but the Xbox 360 uses what is basically a triple core PPC derivative. The PS3 uses a single core PPC derivative with what are basically 7 powerful math coprocessors.

It's not the same, but still inexcusable that it's so buggy.

- evillawngnome, on 03/06/2008, -13/+5While you're at it, fix Elder Scrolls: Oblivion. Game locks up just as much, if not more than bully.
- BedPost, on 03/06/2008, -0/+17Uh. That game barely ever locks up on me. And they're different developers. So uhm... what?
- karaokekidd, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2Exactly. It's only locked up on me while I was getting insane with item duping and making book dominoes.
- tobikow, on 03/06/2008, -6/+4Oblivion runs on the half life 2 source engine, which is made by valve. never locked up for me or any other source fanboy!
- accessviolation, on 03/06/2008, -0/+6Are you retarded? It uses a modified version of the Gamebryo engine with Havok physics and SpeedTree for foliage.
- BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1And it has locked up on me a few times.. but not that much..not enough to piss me off though
still my favorite RPG

- gage006, on 03/06/2008, -1/+61"Let's say you have a baby (Bully), but your job (GTA 4) is too demanding right now and to make sure your baby is getting taken care of (it didn't sell well on the PS2) you have to hire a sitter (Mad Doc), but you don't really check out her references (past projects).
You go to pick your baby up one day (few weeks ago whenever the game went gold) and you find out the baby got all ***** up because the sitter dropped it on the floor. There's no going back from that and you're stuck forever (releasing the game in this state) with this kid that has to wear a helmet for the rest of its life and has seizures (freezing in game) all the time. This is what happened with Bully for the 360." - NeoGaf.com- Rizzen, on 03/06/2008, -1/+20Most depressing analogy ever.
- shauncullen, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2Depressing and hilarious.
- Rizzen, on 03/06/2008, -1/+20Most depressing analogy ever.
- Kniggit, on 03/06/2008, -9/+2This comes as no surprise to me. I bought GTA San Andreas 2.0 for the PC last year, and in my silly quest to get 100% and never having used cheats I discovered I couldn't take one of the fifty snapshots (the one by the rocks and water in San Fierro). I went back and forth with a support person by the name of Elaine Wake who, despite the fact that I had triple-checked every single snapshot and checked multiple guides, and even eventually used a hack to spot where the missing snapshot was, AND lined up virtually to the pixel what needed to be snapshotted, said that this was a non-technical issue.
It was obvious this was a bug in the code, but she and Rockstar wouldn't help me out. Now I'm mentioning the story here in case anyone has any misconceptions as to what type of response they'll get for releasing crap again. And they wonder why people get pissed or why these stories get posted. Not me, though.- mapez, on 03/06/2008, -1/+11That must be hard on you, only finishing 99% of the game.
- Rev0lver, on 03/06/2008, -1/+6Congratulations on bitching about one completely irrelevant aspect of the game.
- negativefx, on 03/06/2008, -1/+9"my silly quest" is quite an understatement. I would have chosen something along the lines of "i had nothing better to do because i suck", or "my crippling OCD forced me to"...
- Mikhail101, on 03/06/2008, -11/+5chill... theyll release a patch
- MyNamesTaken, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2yeah but how long will that take? when you buy a game you tend to want to be able to play it right away.
- beastlykings, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1What if they didn't know about it? Or figured it was a small area of people who were affected? Then there wouldn't be a patch. A stink has to be made to show them how big of a problem it is.
- theguesser10, on 03/06/2008, -14/+2Why would anyone buy Bully?
- EXreaction, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2Why would anybody want to troll?
- MyNamesTaken, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1it looks like a great game and im not even a school kid.
- BearinG, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1It IS a great game.. its like a toned down GTA to me.. while I wait for GTA4...
- machocheese34, on 03/06/2008, -0/+12Good thing we have auto updates, but that sucks for the people who cant get online.
- negativefx, on 03/06/2008, -4/+10like who? tribes in africa? i'm pretty sure if you can afford a 360 and this game, you can afford a net connection.
- Damien79, on 03/06/2008, -3/+5sure buddy no matter where you live you can get internet. [/sarc]
I added the end tag in case you're a ***** moron like I suspect. - machocheese34, on 03/06/2008, -0/+4I was talking about the people that for some reason or another have not decided to connect their console to the internet
- Damien79, on 03/06/2008, -3/+5sure buddy no matter where you live you can get internet. [/sarc]
- s1mph0ny, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1Like those who have been wrongly, or rightly banned from xbox live.
- parkermauney, on 03/06/2008, -0/+3I know plenty of people with 360s that cannot use live.
- negativefx, on 03/06/2008, -4/+10like who? tribes in africa? i'm pretty sure if you can afford a 360 and this game, you can afford a net connection.
- Failchan, on 03/06/2008, -12/+2Can't wait to see the Xbox 360 fanboy damage control. Not only the PS3 with some bad ports too, sorry.
- logicalnoise, on 03/06/2008, -4/+5what system's development platform caused GTA4 to be delayed? oh yeah it was ps3.
- s1mph0ny, on 03/06/2008, -1/+2damnit, you're supposed to keep that a secret.
- logicalnoise, on 03/06/2008, -4/+5what system's development platform caused GTA4 to be delayed? oh yeah it was ps3.
- BrokeAssNinja, on 03/06/2008, -2/+1Too bad, I was considering buying it.
- eviscero, on 03/06/2008, -11/+4Someone call the waaambulance.
- goldpress, on 03/06/2008, -0/+11I don't even own a 360, but I've got to say the complainers have a right to whine all they want. You pay money and expect a decent product. Although, if you expect a product that won't fail - you own a 360?
- reqage, on 03/06/2008, -13/+1That's what you get for buying a ***** game. Digg me down bitches.
- darkism, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2"That's what you get for buying a ***** console."
Fixed.
- darkism, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2"That's what you get for buying a ***** console."
- Dan11023, on 03/06/2008, -12/+4i think its Microsoft fault... well, b/c they are Microsoft
- friend18, on 03/06/2008, -17/+7Didn't the 360 also have problems with Forza Motorsport? Maybe the 360 is just a piece of crap...
- logicalnoise, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2WTF are you talking about?
- friend18, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2http://gamerush.zoomshare.com/files/my_images/Game ...
- accessviolation, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1It doesn't work that way smart guy. These things are software problems, not hardware problems.
- friend18, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2Right, because the 360 has had no hardware problems. :/
- Wootstapler, on 03/06/2008, -1/+0Actually, no. I've had no problems with FM2, and it still remains beautiful while doing so. And where do you get off calling the 360 a piece of crap? Just wondering...
- logicalnoise, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2WTF are you talking about?
- jo21, on 03/06/2008, -8/+1i think the problem is games :p
*waits for fanboy to digg me down... even its true*- adraft, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2What? Of course the problem is games, this game wasn't made right and now it's freezing. I understand English might be your second language so if I missed what you were saying I apologize in advance.
- OffPiste, on 03/06/2008, -4/+16Stop trying to kiss boys and the game runs fine.
- Cagnazzo82, on 03/06/2008, -1/+4But kissing boys is the best part of the game :-(
- perfectblu3, on 03/06/2008, -7/+1I just have to mention this:
Rockstar North is responsible for GTA- this would be the studio that can seemingly do no wrong.
Bully (both PS2 version and ports) was made by Rockstar Vancouver. It seems that not all Rockstar studios are equally skilled.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rockstar_Games- gamerzworld, on 03/06/2008, -0/+2Rockstar Vancouver didn't port Bully.
- senatorpjt, on 03/06/2008, -1/+5Maybe they figured they could just blame it on hardware failure. Plausible deniability.
- mikee1680, on 03/06/2008, -2/+10Who cares! GTA is coming!
- mGARANDEUR1, on 03/06/2008, -8/+3Does anyone know how reliable the ps3 is compared with the xbox360?
- s1mph0ny, on 03/06/2008, -1/+3They're both horribly unreliable according to any reasonable standard.
- sleepbox, on 03/06/2008, -6/+1Bully for PS2 is one of my fav games of all time. So atmospheric and humorous. I wish Rockstar didn't ***** this one up for 360 because I may have re-purchased it.
- lowryba, on 03/06/2008, -7/+1Don't buy a crap game... especially on release... end of story.
- gamerzworld, on 03/06/2008, -0/+9Well.
1. Rockstar didn't port the game, Mad Doc Software did.
2. It could be something the retail 360 are doing that dev kits did not.
3. The game can be patched.- TheBudman84, on 03/06/2008, -2/+2Because the game can be patched, i'm still going to pick it up. It also helps that I've got 50 bucks in store credit (to a local game shop, not gamestop) so i'm not gonna have to pay a dime.
- Dgen_X, on 03/06/2008, -2/+2I'm not going to pick it up UNTIL it gets patched, and I might just send an email with that same message.
- boobsbr, on 03/06/2008, -2/+2so, are they gonna patch the game and re-stamp the discs? if someone does not have a live account how can they patch the game? in 3 years from now, if i pick up the game disc and put it on my console, will the update still be available?
the ability to patch a game should not be an excuse to release early or release crippled software. patches are for minor glitches, gameplay improvements and new hardware support. all games should be completely playable on version 1.0.
but, you know, that's just me. maybe some people like to waste their money on bad software...
- VinnieDaMac, on 03/06/2008, -6/+8Sony fanboys are gonna have a ball with this.
- helooksmortal, on 03/06/2008, -0/+10rockstar gave a: http://kotaku.com/364455/rockstar-horrified-by-xbo ...
- helooksmortal, on 03/06/2008, -1/+1blah, what happened to my post?
anyways, here's what i meant to say:
**ROCKSTAR GAVE A REPLY**: http://kotaku.com/364455/rockstar-horrified-by-xbo ... - s1mph0ny, on 03/06/2008, -1/+1I'm not buying it. Would rockstar really be stupid enough to only test against a falcon/benq, when that's only 10% of the xbox market?
- jakesnake86, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1These problems must be limited to the older 360s, as stated in the kotaku article. My 360 purchased a couple months after the Australian release has had no issues with the game. Have yet to encounter a single problem in the 5 hours or so i've been playing.
- brendoman, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1I have an older 360 and haven't had any problems yet.
- helooksmortal, on 03/06/2008, -1/+1blah, what happened to my post?
- MaXPL, on 03/06/2008, -8/+1wow thanks ***** DIGG, thanks for crashing gaf.
- OrderedChaos, on 03/06/2008, -0/+1You can't have it both ways. Either get the word out on the issue, or let it languish with a smaller audience on neogaf.
