- Reclaim3r, on 07/14/2008, -2/+1716:10 support!!! ***** yeah! I've been waiting for this update forever, thank you!!
- lcmatt, on 07/14/2008, -2/+98 person private chat is much welcomed, along with the install option. The dashboard just keeps on improving.
- username9000, on 07/14/2008, -2/+9and with these additions along with everything else, in game xmb has become irrelevant. Sony keeps losing ground.
- Protoss, on 07/14/2008, -2/+8It's not marketing speak, they said "ยท Play from hard drive. Copy your games from the game disc and play directly from the hard drive. Not only will the drive not spin, but load times are quicker, as well. Of course, you will still need the disc in the tray to prove you own the game." so it's definitely saying that you can rip the entire game to the hard drive. This is pretty awesome, never saw this coming.
- Rijnzael, on 07/14/2008, -2/+7I just hope "rip games to hard drive" isn't marketing speak for "in the near future you'll be needing to install games to HDD, just like on PS3"
- merdiesel, on 07/14/2008, -2/+5The complete original dashboard built into the new guide sounds pretty sweet.
- CollapseControl, on 07/14/2008, -2/+5HELLO 8 person CHAT!
That is ***** NICE!
With all these added features I can say that Sony's PSN is now lower than ever. - Kinsbane, on 07/14/2008, -2/+5Persistent party system for all aspects of Xbox 360 is FTW. Slideshows, videos, games. ***** awesome.
- Ozeki, on 07/14/2008, -2/+4Holy mother of god. Everything I always wanted and then some!
- Carv, on 07/14/2008, -2/+4Of all the 360 news to come out of E3 so far, 16:10 is the one I care about the most. Now my games won't have to look like ***** because of my monitor's scaling.
- Quicksilver4648, on 07/15/2008, -1/+2While I only own a 360 and I don't see myself venturing off to other consoles (for once I think I chose a winning console), I can't wait to see what Sony is going to show tomorrow. Not that I will ever buy it, but competition is always good for the consumer and Microsoft seems to be eager to finally take the PS3 down.
- inactive, on 07/14/2008, -3/+4***** YEAH 8 people!
To bad I don't have any friends - username9000, on 07/15/2008, -0/+1No, I am referring to the link that this post goes to. I know as a sony fanboy, you don't click links you just spout nonsense.
Primetime Live, game ripping (not the same as mandatory installs just to be able to play the game), 16:10 monitor support, new dash (with support for the old dash), avatars (hell of alot better than home), I don't need to run around in a second life clone in order to get a game going online. party chat (that works with netflix), netflix.....hmm what else? oh yeah that is enough. the "everything else" I was referring to was everything xbox live already does that the in game xmb does not....voice chat people on your firends list, invite people into the game you are playing while they play something else, streaming soundtracks to EVERY game...and more. you can attempt to say that Sony has caught up, feature wise, but you know you are wrong. - kalel90, on 07/14/2008, -3/+4Well looks like the 360 is going back in the living room an the ps3 gets its old dusty spot back in the bedroom.
- Rijnzael, on 07/14/2008, -2/+2Yeah, but that doesn't at all rule out the possibility of them forcing us to rip several install discs in the case of games that are too large to fit on one DVD, or meet some other arbitrary criteria. I'm not saying it isn't a cool feature, I'm just hoping it isn't a sign of 'game installations' on the 360.
- Quicksilver4648, on 07/15/2008, -2/+1I doubt they will EVER incorporate that rule since they are so persistent to sell the Arcade Sku which only comes with a 512mb memory card.
- santasing, on 07/15/2008, -3/+1Why? Or are you just looking for diggs from XBots here. What additions are you talking about? And what's everything else?
The ripped off Mii's, the dashboard now looks like a composite of the XMB and the Mii system.
Before yesterday, the PS3 game install were oh so bad, and now full game installs are good....even though you have to keep the disk inside. That's pretty backward. At least when the PSN support a big game like Warhawk, they let you play off of the hard drive.
PS3 has had multiple player VIDEO chat for ages. Now what? - santasing, on 07/15/2008, -3/+1The only thing I am interested in a the new display support. The rest is kind of lame. And 8-player voice chat....the PS3 does multi player video conferencing right now, so I don't see what the big deal is.

What is Digg?
