The Face of Master Chief!

news.filefront.com — This video pretty much shows the face of Halo's resident action hero, Master Chief. The face can be seen thanks to two players in the beta who worked together to force the camera inside his helmet. Granted, it's really shadowy and all you can really make out are some basic facial features, but it's still the closest we can get to his actual face.

    At the very least, it's interesting that they put this in and also made the HUD curve and show the lines of a real helmet visor.

Canon media supports that several who didn't make it through the augmentation process (were crippled) serve in command roles, several are off investigating Onyx, and at least one retired to raise a family. The rest were wiped out during the battle of Reach.

    The Master Chief is simply the last remaining spartan in an active combat role.

  • tehpwnrate, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13I'd also note that this could be an easter egg. There was the picture from the Halo 3 E3 trailer that went around for a while, and it looked like this, but wasn't really a face. Maybe this is Bungie's little joke. They are pranksters.

Bungie has left little easter eggs in textures in every Halo game most are referenced to their earlier titles. Obviously Bungie bothered to spend a couple hours on a face texture for MC.BTW thanks to the new helmets there's a chance it could indeed be seen.

In my short time 3D modeling (it was a hobby for 3-4 month) You don't just model a face and give it a texture because you want to, it'll take work. Not a lot but for such an important game, I doubt it'll be for fun.
