In addition to introducing a wonderfully dramatic storyline between a soldier and his mentor, Snake Eater really placed the storyline of MGS2 back into a large narrative with Cold War roots w/o relying so damned much on obscenely abstract themes (And after the mindf*ck that was Sons of Liberty and its memes, the series was in desperate need of some context).

The only reason that game sold was because of the Halo name. The game was just average, with controls dumbed down to the point of almost being insulting. I can say that enjoyed End War a lot more which for some reason almost didn't sell at all.

There's a "unsubbed" edition on the internets meaning, it takes the Japanese audio and replaces the English one. I played it a second time after getting it since it gave the game so much more feel. - Elranzer, on 04/10/2009, -0/+1Without trying to spoil much... Shadow of the Colossus kinda-sorta leads into Ico at the end. The games are really very much unrelated, but if there were a timeline then SoC definitely comes first.
- Elranzer, on 04/10/2009, -0/+1Yoshi's Island tries to change that Mario and Luigi were plumbers from Brooklyn (instead it makes them residents of the Mushroom Kingdom from the start). It also tries to make them twins.
Good game, but ***** its attempts to change the Mario mythology.
Nintendo has a habit of doing this. Bowser used to have 7 kids but now he apparently only has Bowser Jr. Once again, the first storyline was better (the 7 Koopalings are a way cooler concept than Bowser Jr.) - Kanten, on 04/14/2009, -0/+1Zelda doesn't have a timeline, get over yourselves.
