- heartless_, on 12/15/2007, -6/+80Amazing, console with built in wireless ports for wireless controllers interrupts wireless communications. Amazing waste of ten minutes of my time.

- a3r0, on 12/15/2007, -4/+70The 360 can block wireless networks and the Wii can attract cockroaches, so what can the PS3 do?
- notjustmii, on 12/15/2007, -6/+58I have every console, wireless phones, and a wireless network with no issues whatsoever.
- PinkoComrade, on 12/15/2007, -0/+47Breaking News! Your Microwave interrupts signals on the 2.4ghz band!

- NeoSporin, on 12/15/2007, -3/+31So thats why people continue to play Halo 3 campaign, Microsoft is sending radio waves into their heads.
Thank god for this tin-foil hat. - BillyGoatMagoo, on 12/15/2007, -1/+24my wireless router literally sits on top of my 360, i have no problems.

Dude, 3 big lies in a single comment? ;) - Dracusis, on 12/15/2007, -3/+20Accidentally pipe your 200GB porn collection to your girlfriend's PSP after you setup remote play on it.
***** PS3. - SSUK, on 12/15/2007, -0/+14Microsoft wanted to control what peripherals were created for the 360, so they force digitally signed USB controllers and use a proprietary wireless format so that they get more money off developers wanting to have custom controllers. Don't get me wrong, I own a 360 and love the thing, however I'm not blind to what MS is doing, it's disgusting and I sure hope other console manufacturers don't get similar ideas to MS in the future.
- bluscale, on 12/15/2007, -2/+16Keep living in the past... and keep laughing at your own jokes.
- ChunkyGork, on 12/15/2007, -1/+15You should get that stutter looked at
- MalDON, on 12/15/2007, -1/+15Come on, this sounds like someone is just trying to come up with a reason to bash the 360. I have no problems with my wifi, or phones or anything. If it screws up your network the solution is simple, buy fcc regulated electronics.
- lerch, on 12/15/2007, -8/+20I call BS, FCC would pass the 360 if it did.
- MalDON, on 12/15/2007, -0/+12according to the article and your statement, the FCC did...

- spiralspirit, on 12/15/2007, -1/+11sexy underwear does not inhibit the signal. i have proof.
- HappyScrappy, on 12/15/2007, -0/+9I have a friend who worked on Wal-Marts price checking system. It's crap. Any 2.4GHz transmitter of any sort will mess it up. It doesn't have to be one that is out of spec somehow.

http://www.freakware.de/news/ps3-grill.jpg - flishman, on 12/15/2007, -3/+12I call BS as well. I have no problem with my Wifi. My Wifi router is right next to my X-Box 360. If I had to guess its only certain APs and WLAN equipment. I've never heard of Meru. Should of bought Cisco.
- EnsErmac, on 12/15/2007, -1/+10Thats easy, you just pull the stickers off and stick them back on with all the colors on the same side...

- weitek, on 12/15/2007, -1/+8same here. linksys wrt54gs. sits on top of the 360. i get a max/strong signal everywhere in the house. i call bs.
- inactive, on 12/15/2007, -0/+6Don't worry, I have an extinguisher ready.
- Moose_Head, on 12/15/2007, -0/+5I find this kind of typo very common these days. Typing "would" instead of "wouldn't" or "can" instead of "can't", etc, etc. Take a second and read over your comment people before you post the exact opposite of what you really mean!!
- MCDupree, on 12/15/2007, -0/+5Agreed, Bluetooth works well with the PS3, and would have been a smart move.
- Vinny128128, on 12/15/2007, -0/+5i go to morrisville myself. the fact is, noone there knows what they are doing, we are using the lowest bidder's routers, and it really only affects people with old desktops - all the laptops are fine. If there was a problem with the thinkpads, it would be a major issue, considering 80-90% of students are required to have them.
- mikeha, on 12/15/2007, -3/+8Sounds like the school wants an excuse to ban 360's on campus. This is pure BS, the 360 does not jam WLANs
- malloyoy, on 12/15/2007, -1/+6Just because it doesn't happen to you, it doesn't mean there is no problem. There is evidence -- hence the article.
I also have first hand proof. I If I have my XBOX on while using wireless with my laptop's wireless card, then the connection drops randomly, and with the bar goes from a solid 5 down to 1. As soon as I unplug the console you can see the strength bar jump straight back up.
The problem must be very rare because it's not well known. I thought I must have been having random wifi troubles but I can guarantee that the XBOX is the cause. - spyderfreek2k, on 12/15/2007, -1/+6Not to mention the fact that encrypting a wifi signal decreases the range, not by a whole lot in most cases, but people may have brought more furniture, beer bottles, condom wrappers, sexy underwear, ect. and that could also inhibit you signal. The adding of 360's is more traffic on the 2.4ghz spectrum, so yes it may have made a difference, but there were probably many other factors.
- Rikushix, on 12/15/2007, -0/+5This all makes sense now. The fourth floor of my rez in university has a wireless router, and for the first few weeks of school everyone on all floors could pretty much use it. Then they encrypted it securely, but nobody was able to detect it anyway unless you were right on the fourth floor. That was around when I started getting those "Windows Detects Microsoft Media Extender Wireless" notifications in my system tray. I guess people were setting up their xbox 360s.
- Ajajadude, on 12/15/2007, -0/+5I hate my microwave...
- Drull, on 12/15/2007, -2/+6Remarkable. I'm so getting that as a tattoo.
- breezytrees, on 12/15/2007, -1/+5in afterthought my curiosity got the best of me and I actually googled wii+cockroaches and this is what came up first: http://digg.com/nintendo/Wii_emits_a_frequency_tha ...
+1 for you my friend - Hazardc, on 12/15/2007, -1/+5man why dont you cry about it some more?
- DonTazeMeBro, on 12/15/2007, -2/+6There's alot of fanboys here... anybody that says they have the same problem is being dugg to the pits.
- Shaflugi, on 12/15/2007, -0/+4Whaaat? He's being dugg down for stating a true fact?
- mizarone, on 12/15/2007, -1/+5What about the cell phones and bluetooth headsets that the IT people are using? They operate on the same 2.4GHz spectrum. Also, what about cordless phones that operate on 2.4Ghz?
- foxhoundadmin, on 12/15/2007, -2/+6why they didn't use bluetooth is freakin' beyond me! i mean, it's lower-powered, faster, and it's just all around better for applications such as wireless controllers.
i swear, if the ps3 had as many good games as the 360, and was about $100 less, then i would buy one in a freakin' heartbeat! i mean, that's why i bought an xbox last generation -- they had more features and better hardware than the rest. - inactive, on 12/15/2007, -0/+4Mine plays games, reliably and silently.
- sgoogle, on 12/15/2007, -0/+4"handheld wireless controller -- the gizmo with the buttons that manipulate a game running on the console."
Was there a need for the explanation? Dugg for Gizmo anyway - williamdyer, on 12/15/2007, -0/+3Would be pretty effing hilarious if this excess greed about controller revenue makes MS buy back all those interfering XBOXen.
