Art doesn't just pop out of thin air, and it doesn't always come from "conventional" artists or mediums. This is art because it is intriguing and original. Just because it probably won't be hung on the wall of the Smithsonian and pondered through the ages doesn't mean it's not art.

If I can take a sheet of paper, a couple cans of paint, and spray the paper with abnormal brush strokes, do it a couple times, and have some jackass buy it for 10 grand, then this is ***** art. It probably took the guy a better part of a day to do this, and its original, worthy of bungie.net status, and intriguing as well as creative, so its a piece of art because me and this cat crimson said so.
