- dig1x, on 05/09/2008, -1/+8It looks very promising. I hope MS does bring this Newton to market.
3rd Party Motion-control developers are gonig to *love* having another market to deliver its games. As a result, motion-control games will get more investment.
If MS delivers the Newton, its a win-win for everyone. - Wiinii, on 05/09/2008, -7/+5Finally merging everything that's great about the 360 with the one great thing about the Wii, it's controller.
Xbox Live, voice chat, realistic HD graphics, DLC, etc + Wiimote = no compromise, true next-gen gaming at last!
Now if only Nintendo would just start putting it's great games on the 360... one can dream.- KingGoonie, on 05/09/2008, -9/+1Only problem with that analogy... Best games are on the Wii, wii is best system BECAUSE of that.
Having 3 games come out for a "me two" motion sensitive controller isn't going to do much.

- Wiinii, on 05/09/2008, -5/+2Apple is making a Wiimote for AppleTV too: http://digg.com/apple/Apple_developing_3D_gaming_c ...
- kewldewd, on 05/09/2008, -2/+2Maybe Apple will call it the "Newton" too
- Zamfir, on 05/09/2008, -8/+3Microsoft still playing "me too!"... kinda pathetic.
- RoadDoggFL, on 05/09/2008, -1/+8MS has been working on the technology for a while, and it looks to be a better "me too" effort than the sixaxis/ds3.
I'm already looking forward to the next generation but this could make the current one a bit more interesting.- rjosal, on 05/09/2008, -3/+2Can you show me what you saw/heard that makes it look better than the sixaxis/ds3? On the sixaxis every button except start and select has an analog axis, and it has accelerometers for rotation about the X, Y and Z axis, and for translation on the X, Y, and Z plane. And you can fly a helicopter with it: http://www.pabr.org/sixlinux/sixlinux.en.html
- RoadDoggFL, on 05/10/2008, -0/+2Well the DS2 has all analog buttons (don't know if the sixaxis or DS3 have analog R3/L3... but you just claimed that they do), and the rest looks like MS's technology can handle it too (not that it won't have analog buttons... the Xbox did).
Don't really see what you're getting at.- rjosal, on 05/11/2008, -0/+1R3 and L3 aren't analog (sorry for the omission). No, what I was wondering was what else they were adding. I'm just looking for information on what it will have in addition to the things on the sixaxis. I just didn't find anything on google or anything with specs. Regardless, hopefully devs will start doing cool stuff with it, now that they have it on both boxes.

- JustAn0th3rFace, on 05/09/2008, -3/+3I love the Nintendo Wii and the controller and everything about it.
I love Microsoft's XBOX 360 and the graphics and games and online play and everything about it.
I do not think i will love a motion controller on a XBOX 360.. If i want motion control games ill play my Wii. If i dont ill play an Xbox 360.. i just dont see this blend going well together, i think its going to fall way short.- dig1x, on 05/10/2008, -1/+2How about motion controlled games for those who dont want to buy a Wii?
- JustAn0th3rFace, on 05/10/2008, -0/+1i really dont forsee a 360 controller fulfulling any needs of motion controlls beyond what the Wii is capable of. This does NOT rule out a future Microsoft of Playstiation console with motion controlls, just the 360 and PS3. Its too late in the game. The systems have developed their indivudal markets already. Breaking the cultures they have created is going to be tough.

- kinseyincanada, on 05/09/2008, -0/+4***** i dont want it to be specifically used for Banjo Kazooie 3 ive been waiting for a good plat former for the 360 and i dont want some stupid add-on controller ruining it.
- tinakhal, on 05/14/2008, -0/+0I REALLY hope this controller is real
cuz its cool. Although it's be much better of this mas a multi-game contorller. Then I'd be mroe excited!
