Brilliant idea, especially showing the most dangerous areas of the city and most used weapons etc. I hope this "social club" is viewable from my PS3 and not just on a PC, in-game or in the browser.

I have been trying to avoid all the announcements for new stuff in GTA4 but with so much new stuff I just gave up. This game is going to be EPIC!

Please stop announcing new things about GTA 4. I was sold as soon as you announced the game. You are now just pushing me closer and closer to trying to pull an Eric Cartman.

Not to be an achievement whore or anything, but have the ones for GTA 4 been announced? This game has most the potential for best achievements for a 360 game next too Fable 2.

so does this mean UK residents have more time to complete the game as it'll be released hours before the US release?

While this initially sounds cool, I really hate the leaderboard concept of "First X people to 100% completion", basically because once that's done.. it's done and no one else can get it.

It's discouraging because you know there are people out there that will have this thing completed in 15 hours, or if there's so much crap it will take you months to do it all... they'll stay up for 3-4 days ON END and WILL get it.

It's not as if it's a competition thing like normal leaderboards where you may (or may not) choose to take part in score battles amongst friends. "Damn, they just passed my score.. I'll have to one-up them!" No, this is more like "Haha, someone got it before you... and now it's done!"

All the other stuff sounds fine. Typical achievement/leaderboard stuff. Just... not so much with that limited time thing.

I love the line at the end of the press release that mentions regular competitions and challenges to complete in the weeks and months after release. So as well as all of the missions, side-missions, multiplayer and general dicking around getting up to mischief, we also have this to look forward to. This game is going to take up sooo many hours.

What a great way to make players rush through the game and miss the whole GTA experience.

Achievements are great for people that need to be told what to enjoy

Hopefully it works as well as Bungie.net.
