- levitron, on 04/07/2008, -1/+30Its a Borg Xbox!
- nightmare1228, on 04/07/2008, -1/+28Who needs a warranty if you have a water cooled 360? It's not like it would ever overheat. Plus the blue light mod kicks ass.
- ProfessorLX, on 04/07/2008, -2/+24worst printing ever. stick to typing and water cooling 360s bubba.
- euro22, on 12/17/2008, -3/+22Pixelation? You mean jpeg compression artifacts?
- leerayIG88, on 04/07/2008, -4/+21What this crazy foo' talkin' Jibba Jabba 'bout now?
- inactive, on 04/07/2008, -2/+19Well that's a little hard to argue with, now isn't it?
- wontstoptalking, on 04/07/2008, -2/+18Dude, nice job. Not just on the xbox, but writing that and taking a picture of it was awesome. Nice.
- LomasLou, on 04/07/2008, -0/+15Electrical tape used to seal a water hose installed in electronics is an excellent design feature & obviously UL approved.
- nullx42, on 04/07/2008, -2/+15Hes right! this was shopped! Its actually mine:

Pardon the handwriting, I have parkinsons. - mywhitenoise, on 04/07/2008, -5/+18I don't know how people deal with shipping back a 360, and waiting weeks for it to come back. After the second time I would have given up, sold the 360 and used the money either to upgrade my computer, or buy a PS3.
- mywhitenoise, on 04/07/2008, -1/+13I don't think Bill Gates really gives a ***** about 360. First off, he's retired, Second, his main focus was Windows.
- Yonson, on 04/07/2008, -1/+12It's been done. And far better than this.
People have completely enclosed a functional system within the original case. - ANT1138, on 04/07/2008, -3/+12*-he pretty
i don't remember what i was trying to say... - T3hw1nn3r, on 04/07/2008, -4/+13To those who don't believe me, you're a idiot. Also, this one kept freezing so i just did it to this one.
- davidrools, on 04/07/2008, -0/+8It doesn't need to be hardware modded, the xbox 360 from the factory is not adequately cooled. Watercooling will help the normal hardware run more reliably and quietly if they watercooling system is set up correctly...but looking at the pictures (http://www.onansdisciples.com/modules.php?name=For ... it doesn't look like a high quality job. I mean honestly if he expects those crooked screws and twisty ties to hold the waterblocks down he must be kidding himself.
- ANT1138, on 04/07/2008, -4/+12He pretty if he can figure out how to water cool his xbox, he's smart enough to fix anything that goes wrong with it.
- BlueSkyfish, on 04/07/2008, -0/+8The water never actually touches the electronics. The heat is transferred through a piece of aluminum or copper.
- MarkOfTheDead, on 04/07/2008, -1/+9I'm just taking a stab at it here, but I'm guessing because they haven't seen it before and they think it's cool?
- wattersm, on 04/07/2008, -0/+8Actually, no, it's not. Water one of the most efficient heat carriers you can get and you can run pumps a lot quieter than a bunch of fans.
- bamafun, on 04/07/2008, -2/+9I can't stand to send stuff back in either, I'd rather pay to have it fixed locally or just get a new one ...... besides that no telling what they will send you back.
- inactive, on 04/07/2008, -2/+9Pics or it didn't happen.
- ControlcChris, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7Wtf everyone on that forum keeps talking about e penis's and *****.....
- Yodacola, on 04/08/2008, -0/+7I found the real pic: http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/7610/1002502qv9 ...
It appears to be some kind of link to a video. - apzdsx, on 04/07/2008, -0/+7Watercooled Wii:
http://tbn0.google.com/images?q=tbn:iwXc0AO8tlnjMM ... - T3hw1nn3r, on 04/08/2008, -1/+7I did this on a budget of NO money. We didn't pay ***** for it. we had all this laying around. IT WAS MADE TO BE GHETTO, GET OVER IT.
- malechite, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6A for the idea... D+ for execution.
Things are bent and taped into place, hoses are kinked. it could have been done much better. - theaceoffire, on 04/07/2008, -1/+7You mentioned freezing during game play... did you mod that 360 or get a new one and mod it?
- houndeyex, on 04/07/2008, -0/+6The hell is a creater? Anyways, I wonder if this really stops games from freezing.
- davidrools, on 04/08/2008, -0/+6while I agree that there are many ways to improve on this job...
-The xbox doesn't use a standard CPU/GPU HSF mounting points so you've gotta do some custom work - off the shelf water cooling kits will not bolt right on.
-This could be considered a "proof of concept" build that would lead to the decision to take the time and money to build more reliable, permanent parts (i.e., you'd look pretty stupid if you went through all the work to do it "right" the first time only to find that it didn't solve the overheating/freezing problem at all)
-Using different diameter tubing isn't a problem if your supply tube is larger than your return tube, assuming you can get adequate flow through the smaller tube. Sometimes you run out and have to make due with what you have if the alternative is waiting/spending more.
-If you've modded your xbox or in any way invalidated the warranty, then you can't send it in and you'd be forced to do some kind of "fix" like this or have a brick.
-If it works, it works. I'm sure even your jobs could be done better in some areas. Sometimes you just have to get by with what you have. I give more credit to the guy who can rig something up out of nothing than to the guy who has a nice polished kit that he just plugs in.
-But yeah in the end this probably won't be very reliable at all. He'll leak water all over his Xbox and have no choice but to buy a new one. If he had done it right the first time and spent the extra ~$50 for more hoses and fittings and spent the time to mount the radiator better, he would have never been in the mess of having to lay down another $300 for a new xbox. So basically I agree with you. - milkmage, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6yeah. that's why there are so many air cooled combustion engines. heat transfers better to denser material. water is more dense than air - therefore you are an idiot.
- undersky, on 04/07/2008, -0/+5i don't think people who spend the kind of money and time to mod their consoles really worry about warranty...
- euro22, on 12/17/2008, -2/+7Uh.. no it's not?
- McSploogins, on 04/07/2008, -1/+6and your mom
- Reaktor5, on 04/07/2008, -2/+6He won't, it's cooled properly.
- Po0py, on 04/07/2008, -1/+5Wow. It's got a flux capacitor.
O.O - Dunge, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Why? I can understand overcloacking/cooling a PC,.. but a 360 will lead you nowhere.
- MarkOfTheDead, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Someone's not playing with their custom water cooled toy for a month.....
- KingGorilla, on 04/08/2008, -0/+4why? because it looks ugly? is that it? Well screw you! This xbox 360 is going to the prom and is going to win prom queen! Regardless of what the cheerleaders think!
- Falldog, on 04/07/2008, -1/+5Which is why the industry uses water cooling in all their high availability servers.
- jdpalite, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4Quote from the guy who posted it:
"I might not be able to post for a while, I beleive im getting my report card on monday. And i didn't do to well." - Exact0, on 04/07/2008, -0/+4I got mine back 6 days after sending. My friend got his back in 7 days. I'll agree a console shouldn't brick so quickly....but in my area at least (CT, far away from the factory) the customer service was easy to deal with and I got it back quickly.
My case might be rare though. Just sharing my experience. - purag66, on 05/13/2009, -4/+7Not exactly. It is exclusive to one area.
- smegthelight, on 04/07/2008, -0/+3Dude, The last new A-Team episode aired over 20 years ago.. Let it go !
Besides it's an obvious MacGyver build and the bicycle frame filled with fertilizer has simply fallen off. - Negyxo, on 04/07/2008, -1/+4well that went too far... wow
- TrevorPace, on 04/08/2008, -1/+4While you bring up good points there is still a polite way to do it.
