- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -1/+50Pics of the girlfriends, or it didn't happen.
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -1/+39buried for no pics of girlfriends
- Tarkaan, on 01/10/2009, -2/+39I love how the quote is "A government agent has accidentally leaked several gigs of personal, business and government files all over the internet, including business papers, possible insider schemes, horrid poems, pictures of 'girlfriends,' and an Xbox game proposal." and the Digg headline is "Oops! Government Agent Leaks Xbox RPG Game Proposal Online"
- PaulOwen, on 01/10/2009, -0/+28That's a pretty detailed Xbox game proposal. I can do Japanese, so I'll post the powerpoint page titles:
1. Xbox Game Proposal Document ("Katana")
2. Story (Nine Swords Story)
3. Side Story
4. Game mode
5. Explanation of featured weapons
6. How to upgrade weapons
7. Game completion time
8. Development schedule
9. Disk space required on DVD
10. Proposed dev team, number of people
11. Single player game mode flow
12. Multiplayer game mode flow
13. Requirements of the Xbox Game Platform
14. Using the game online
15. Game controls
16. Game images
There's nothing else there - so no hot J-chicks phone numbers I'm afraid.
P.S. This doesn't look like its come from a government employee at all, but from a gamedev ... ? - rickyisawesome, on 01/10/2009, -2/+22forget the girlfriend pictures, i wanna see what those horrid poems are all about.
- Mujokan, on 01/10/2009, -2/+13Kotaku links to Yahoo News which links to some blogs. One (I won't link on because it has NSFW pix on it) says: "援助交際ものを含む、アダルトビデオなどを検索しこれらをダウンロードし多数収集していた模様。" Which basically means it seems like he was searching for adult videos, etc., including ones involving "enjo kousai", and downloading and collecting them in large numbers. "Enjo" means to assist or support, and "kousai" means interaction (including e.g. dating). This is the Japanese euphemism for the fairly well-established system (at least in major cities) for salarimen finding schoolgirls to have paid sex with. Just thought Diggers might appreciate the salacious rumors. What a nightmare for the guy, though.
- bryceman111, on 01/10/2009, -0/+9Oh. So this is like Cloverfield, but for some video game!
Eh, not really. - JoJoDilio, on 01/10/2009, -0/+8note: NOT a US Government agent
- adammharvey, on 01/11/2009, -0/+7Can't be as bad as Vogon Poetry, they have the third worst in the universe. The absolute worst poetry was written by Paula Nancy Millstone Jennings. It involved decaying swans. Luckily, it was destroyed during the demolition of the Earth.
- Mujokan, on 01/10/2009, -0/+6Dunno why they are so snarky about the game when they can't even spell Jeanne D'Arc themselves. Seems OK. Mostly about collecting nine swords (I guess that's why they say "nine stories") scattered around the world, and the swords take on your personality and develop unique characteristics as you play. Style is "chanbara". Sounds OK to me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chanbara
- Natnie, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5I want to see Ned Kelly fight Bruce Lee.
- CrazyDEX, on 01/10/2009, -0/+5It is... both sites are owned by gawker media
- s0nicfreak, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4His cool did what?
- fokov, on 01/10/2009, -3/+7f' that, give me the insider trading hints :D oh yea Iran is about to be 'attacked' Guess I should go by haliburton stock. Well, as long as Obama has some, otherwise, I'll have to get his military contractor of choice's stock.
- BrainDance, on 01/10/2009, -0/+4uhh, he was Japanese?
Come on man, there's a lot of different Asian governments other than China. - HolyChimp, on 01/10/2009, -0/+3Both owned by Gawker, so they have the same layout.
- gbhall, on 01/12/2009, -0/+2Oh I didn't know that
- visarya, on 01/10/2009, -1/+2government agents having girlfriend ?
- SharkyTech, on 01/11/2009, -0/+1How about shaping after exceeding download limit? Generally its 64k. Very common in Australia where people still pay AU$50 (about US$35 currently) for 512k with 1GB on-peak downloads shaped down to 64k when exceeded.
- doshindude, on 01/10/2009, -0/+1So grandma/grandpa won't be able to view it?
Seriously, who has dialup anymore? a 56k warning is a thing of the past. - ahpro, on 01/10/2009, -2/+3Had anybody else leaked this information by accident they would be sued into their millions but because it's the government, nothing happens.
- Johnchristie, on 01/13/2009, -0/+1Now you are the one who is owned.
- strudey, on 01/10/2009, -2/+1Seems OK to me.
- mridler, on 01/10/2009, -3/+1Better put 56K where ever you fear "leaking" to the internet !
- gbhall, on 01/10/2009, -6/+3This site looks awfully similar to http://lifehacker.com/
- inactive, on 01/10/2009, -9/+6So he was using Windows then.
- grungegbunny, on 01/10/2009, -10/+3Epic Failure.
