- MagicCake, on 10/29/2007, -5/+41I was going to write this semi-angry reply about how you're a troll, but then the music on the radio picked up and momentarily improved my mood and I started swinging my head back and forth. Maybe I'm just easily amused, like a toddler or perhaps a retarded adult. I think I'm also really tired and the potato wedges I ate earlier are making me feel really crappy too but I don't know how that fits into all this.
It's been about four minutes since I wrote that last bit. I sort of stared at it and my eyes went out of focus for awhile. I think I need some sleep. But I just know if I tried now I wouldn't be able to. Don't you hate that? I'm going to have a bowl of cereal and see what that does. Special K. The kind with the strawberries. Yeah, I know that sounds pretty gay, but actually I started eating it before they were marketing it to women as a way to lose weight. Still though, I see those offers for a pair of jeans on the back of the box, and I wonder if I could get some made for dudes. I don't think they would let me. That's sort of unfair, I think. I enjoy the cereal as much as anyone. I eat it all the time. I like the strawberries. When I was little, I'd see boxes of cereal in the store and the picture would always have fruit in it. I'd ask my mom to buy it, and sometimes she would, and then I was bummed out when there was no ***** fruit in there. That's why I like the Special K, they don't pull that *****. I think they have other kinds now too, also for chicks who think they're fat. Yogurt flavored ones or something. Can't they have a manly version? I'm seriously not a 30 year old woman who wants to drop a dress size. Then they have a chocolate one. I'm pretty sure that's also for ladies but I don't know how eating chocolate cereal makes you lose weight, so maybe that's for the times when you're crying and want to eat chocolate but also cereal. And like you don't have any ice cream. Or cake. Do girls like cake? I don't like cake, actually. I know, I bet you wouldn't have guessed that. "MagicCake" doesn't even like cake. It's true. Too much frosting, usually. I always have pie for my birthday. Well, and cheesecake. My dad used to make cheesecake, that was a good sort of cake that I can get behind.
Anyway, I'm going to go now. Have a good day I guess. I don't care either way, really. I won't know if you have a ***** day, so it's kind of like, whatever. - HBNDonut, on 11/05/2007, -1/+27Damnit! Im already working my ass off overtime trying to enjoy the greatness of Halo 3 and the Orange Box. Now theyre throwing Mass Effect at me already? Thats too much awesome for one man to take all at once. I dont know if I can handle it!
- sockpuppets, on 10/24/2007, -6/+32Good console games with no decent PC port makes sockpuppet sad.
- KaiUno, on 10/24/2007, -0/+22You realize everybody is eligible to be an Xbox guy, right? It's not like you're born one way or the other.
- TheFlood16, on 10/29/2007, -6/+26I'm so excited this game is almost here, I preorderded last year. I'm glad they finally officially announced the Collector's Edition for the U.S. There's a ton of extra content there.
Not to sound like a total fanboy here, but the 360 is having an amazing 2007 with Halo 3, BioShock, Mass Effect PGR 4, Forza 2 and others all exclusive. - manitoba98xp, on 10/29/2007, -1/+18Among consoles, it is, is it not? The 360 isn't really competing directly with the PC as it is with the PS3. And either way, many good games = a good year, regardless of other platforms.
- angito, on 10/29/2007, -0/+13Why exactly does this game need multiplayer? Not every game on earth has to have a multiplayer option, this is an RPG it does not need any multiplayer to be enjoyable.
- ericrous, on 10/23/2007, -0/+13You should have bought a PS3 instead. Trust me, you'll never have the problem of too many games all at once with THAT console.
- fatadamblog, on 10/29/2007, -2/+14This game NEEDS a PC port
I've got a 360 and I'm going to buy this game but Bioware if your listening out there I'm sure many PC gamers would agree with me and like this title on PC. Heck you can even call it a 360 exclusive still because technically it still is. - Meccabilly, on 10/23/2007, -2/+12Well... you got Lair... HAHAHAHA
- ABombbmoBA, on 10/23/2007, -2/+9Then why buy the MOST EXPENSIVE system... with hardly any cool games out for it?
- mikeyeah, on 11/05/2007, -1/+8I'm going to be crude and just say it...I've got such a boner for this game.
- woohhaa, on 10/24/2007, -0/+6Yea it is. This next couple of months is going to be great with the new releases they have coming. Guess I'm gonna need to start selling crack again so I can afford all the new releases.
- Raptaur, on 10/24/2007, -1/+7I'm so jealous you Xbox guys are getting this, it looks brilliant... come on Sony give us something!!
- Aupajo, on 10/29/2007, -1/+7I wanna take the time to thank you... thanks, that was awesome.
- skoober, on 10/23/2007, -1/+7QUIT MOANING
- shredswithpiks, on 10/23/2007, -0/+5as far as microsoft is concerned it might as well be exclusive since lol games for windows!
- buildmorerobots, on 10/24/2007, -1/+6don't forget Orange Box, TFT 2 is the 'ISH!
- Downtime, on 10/23/2007, -0/+5assassin's creed is right around the corner too! this is one of those "good" problems to have!
- 0xbaadf00d, on 10/23/2007, -0/+5Kotor was better on pc.
- Rupan, on 10/23/2007, -1/+5Second that
- SantaDuJuan, on 10/23/2007, -0/+4It was a pretty detailed review, why must people have a problem with everything?
- SantaDuJuan, on 10/24/2007, -0/+4This will be a big contender for GOTY. Bioware anything is atleaet an 8/10. With its first review being a I can only hope good things and well reserve it.
- Azuroth, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4Co-op.
- woohhaa, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4Oblivion (assuming you've played it, if not take my word for it) was awesome in its own right, but think of how cool it would have been to do some co-op with your friends?
- navster15, on 10/23/2007, -0/+3IGN has a print edition?!
- KaiUno, on 10/23/2007, -1/+4He probably felt sorry for Sony because they had to endure all that self-inflicted negative publicity before, during and after the launch of their system.
- ericrous, on 10/23/2007, -0/+3Will you accept promises and hype in lieu of games? Sony can give you PLENTY of the former.
- angito, on 10/25/2007, -0/+3I'll agree with you there, but Oblivion is a different type of RPG. I don't think KOTOR or Jade Empire would be good candidates for multiplayer, and those games are more comparable to Mass Effect.
- Exhaust, on 10/23/2007, -0/+3Platform loyalty runs deep, deep down in the DNA.
- BabyWookie, on 10/25/2007, -1/+4Which other game console are they on?
- shredswithpiks, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2but it would still be exclusive to microsoft run gaming platforms...
- ericrous, on 10/24/2007, -2/+4And too many PC fanboys forget that the term "PC" is so generic as to be meaningless anyway. Do you mean PC as in "Apple PC" or "Dell PC?" Do you mean a game that runs on Linux? Do you mean a game that runs only on MS Vista? One that runs on XP? OSX or bootcamp?
"PC" is really just a catchall phrase for "not console." - Azm0dAn, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2Finally!! This game is the main reason why I bought an xbox!
- hadak, on 10/23/2007, -2/+4They can go ahead and infect my 360 all they want...I'd rather not have my production machine (read: the one with my user names, passwords, credit card numbers, social security numbers, etc) infected with rootkits.
- Inverno, on 10/23/2007, -0/+225 year old gamer (PC and console) speaking: Is exclusive really that important, esp between pc and 360? If I have to buy a fps on a console I will (Halo 3), but if given a choice between the two I always consider which makes more sense. Bioshock's DRM steered me to the 360, Orange Box complimented my CS:S/other Valve products on the pc, not to mention controls that feel more intuitive to me.
Porting a between the 360 and PC is fairly straightforward, and barring an "exclusive" period where MS pays a company to support only the 360 for a few weeks/months, making that port is usually a no-brainer for devs. - hollismb, on 10/24/2007, -1/+3So, this is what the bonus (preorder) disc contains that's exclusive:
# A documentary introducing the game
# 12 unique gamer pics
# Two unique themes- Four exclusive pictures in each theme
# Three tracks from the Mass Effect soundtrack
I'm against purchasing the Collector's Edition for myself, because I don't see a need to spend 10 dollars on stuff I'd probably only watch once. That, and I hate those stupidly huge game boxes they come in. - Tactis, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Could be the greatest game this year 9.75 from game informer!!
- UwasaWaya, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2Manbearpig saved your comment from being lame. Maybe we're wrong to hunt him.
- maxsunset, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2The limited edition looks to have some nice extras (game soundtrack FTW!), I just hope it doesnt come in a shoddy tin like Halo 3 did, or a tin that cant even stand upright (GOW). The limited ed. Lost Planet had the best one (same as the Halo 2 limited I think); cool looking, sturdily built, and doesnt take up extra space on your shelf (although, the lost planet extras SUCKED).
- UwasaWaya, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2And lesbians. Don't forget that. Taisetsu.
- LimeParrot, on 10/23/2007, -0/+2What's with every good new game coming out with a Limited Edition... my wallet is in full uproar dammit!
- UwasaWaya, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1Really wish some others would come out... I'm dying to hear about this...
- ilves7, on 10/24/2007, -2/+3orange box and bioshock def. were not exclusive to 360
- Inverno, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1reviewers are often given an early build so that the review can be in the magazine when the game hits the street. It's usually a release canidate that they suspect will go gold.
- Raptaur, on 10/29/2007, -2/+3Ya but I ain't got that much money to be honest
- PinkFloydFan, on 10/24/2007, -3/+4Wow, only $1,273 for an impenetrable vault containing the disc with a limited edition signature Mass Effect shoulder pad mounted on a spartan helmet mounted on a life size replica of manbearpig. I'm SO there!!!
- PulMonary7, on 10/23/2007, -0/+1i cant wait for this game... ive been following it for quite a while, and the anticipation is killing me... and this sure as hell isn't helping
damn! this is going to be a. has been a good year for gaming - ericrous, on 10/23/2007, -1/+2I would be enthralled by you if I liked ***** people
- SueprSheepdog, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1what about your other mistake?
