- username9000, on 10/29/2008, -3/+77why does this hit the front page before the one with more diggs that actually has video of the NXE in action?
- logicalnoise, on 10/29/2008, -1/+57the old blade layout is now your xbox guide(you press the guide button and now get a miniature blade layout). the new guide allows you to access the majority of xbox live features while still in the game.
- Bauer22, on 10/29/2008, -4/+52No you can not. It's a mandatory update if you want to use it online.
- Cbz87, on 10/29/2008, -25/+64XBOX 360 > PS3. Cya
- stopbrorape, on 10/29/2008, -0/+35I just want to make my avatar extremely obese.
If I do not have that option I will email Microsoft and tell them to eat a dick. - shadowblade989, on 10/29/2008, -1/+30Well, looks like I'll be buying a new hard drive for my 360.
- ButchersBoy, on 10/30/2008, -2/+27You are a muppet for spending money on a f***ing theme in the first place.
- Velnich, on 10/30/2008, -3/+28Suck the fact that the 360 is doing as well as it is despite ridiculous hardware failures?
The PS3 not doing far far better and losing as many exclusives as it has is like an athlete being beaten by a cripple. In this case, a cripple I'm more then happy to be patient with as it continues to please me with an awesome game line up. - MourningLemon, on 10/30/2008, -0/+19One thing this article didn't mention is the fact that NXE will provide support for 16:10 screen format, which is a welcome addition.
- tmacfan123, on 10/29/2008, -0/+19the party feature is great cause i got really sick of going back and forth between chatting with more than one friend. If everything is as the previews show, November 19th is gonna be a great day for Microsoft.
- daRoach, on 10/29/2008, -6/+24Please tell me we are able to use the original Xbox layout. I always liked that green matrix-like interface.
- lfrankow, on 10/29/2008, -5/+20the quick launch is a version of the old interface.
the new interface is nice. i look forward to it. - Mr_Lyle, on 10/30/2008, -0/+13Part 1 of 4. Blogspam free.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xKsMnBqwAc4 - DaHuuuuuudge, on 10/30/2008, -0/+13The current dashboard has ads in the blades. I don't know where you've been all this time.
- Kazaki, on 10/29/2008, -1/+13Link?
- dezman2003, on 10/29/2008, -1/+13I use Vista without any problems everyday and its been like that since install. I think your problems are user related.
- gamingspartan, on 10/30/2008, -0/+11Epic Fail
- daz80, on 10/30/2008, -1/+12"Mission Complete" said the Microsoft executive....
- randomstupid, on 10/29/2008, -6/+16Hopes this kicks Sony into upgrading the XMB into something more accessible than a sterile piece of turd
- soulweaponry, on 10/29/2008, -0/+9Agreed. Haven't had one single problem with vista. z3ro: you bought into negative hype. Welcome to being a sheep
- NYC10004, on 10/30/2008, -0/+9Major Nelson already showed how you can fatten up your avatar on the Live News Update.
No worries, you can get your Jabba on. - NYC10004, on 10/30/2008, -0/+8I second that. There's nothing wrong with Vista, it works just fine.
- Elranzer, on 10/30/2008, -2/+10The XMB won the Sony Award for Excellence in Sony Products by Sony Engineering.
- Beerduck, on 10/30/2008, -2/+9Won awards? Seriously? It's as unintuitive as a dead dingo. As if the PSP xmb wasn't bad enough they had to drag that ***** into PS3 just to piss people off.
- spookyttws, on 10/29/2008, -3/+10Seems like an great update, I was a bit weary earlier when it was announced (I quite enjoy the Blade system, and wasn't happy that the update is mandatory) but now I'm pretty much sold.
- ScionX, on 10/29/2008, -3/+10How?
- NYC10004, on 10/30/2008, -2/+9My hate for avatars is nearly boundless, but damn it... ok... I admit defeat...
You've sold me on the NXE you sons of bitches! I will wade through your army of harlot avatars to reach Dashboard Nirvana. - geodebug, on 10/30/2008, -2/+9Can I make 'Clippy' my avatar? I miss that annoying little paper clip.
- ddollar7, on 10/30/2008, -0/+7if you payed attention you would know it comes out Nov 19th
- IllBeBack, on 10/30/2008, -0/+6Acts like Vista as in works with no problems?
I think you've been taking those Apple Mac vs PC commercials way too literally. - kevyn, on 10/30/2008, -0/+6Because I can't watch the video at work, and this is a great article.
- username9000, on 10/29/2008, -2/+8try reading the article.
"Visually, it’s a bigger jump than Windows XP to Windows Vista. "
you can read the article for all the things it does better than the old dash. - DaHuuuuuudge, on 10/30/2008, -0/+6Wow, I'm sure /nobody/ ever thought of that.
/s - MadTom, on 10/29/2008, -5/+10Do want.
- DevSingh1359, on 10/29/2008, -4/+9Man I can't wait for this to come out...wasn't much of a fan of the Blades system anyway.
- Ender008, on 10/30/2008, -0/+5I love my 360, but that's just ridiculous.
- AvidPreatorian, on 10/29/2008, -0/+5gotta love fanboys, they are the joke no matter where they show up
- thebza451, on 10/29/2008, -2/+7unlike your comment..
- BaldMonkey, on 10/30/2008, -1/+5Like cable tv, the newspapers, riding the subway or going to the movies?
- Beerduck, on 10/30/2008, -2/+6Is there any way to upgrade the 360 hdd with a regular 2,5" hdd , without having to buy microsofts overpriced *****.
- OMGRussellCrowe, on 10/30/2008, -0/+4Yeah, because Home isn't ripping it off too. DERRRRR
- graemee, on 10/30/2008, -0/+4Anyone know if Netflix will be offered in Canada?
- Tyrghast, on 10/30/2008, -4/+8Winning an award for user friendliness is like winning an award for being a grilled cheese sandwich: it means nothing.
- NuclearFriend, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3Those ads are much better placed than they currently are and tbh, as long as they are ads for games, I don't mind.
- paidhima, on 10/30/2008, -1/+4Nice preview of the NXE, though the only thing in the entire article I really cared about was this line:
"UPDATE: Especially because NXE will debut Netflix HD streaming."
That there is downright sexy. - ReeferChiefer42, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3....that's what she said? Somebody had to say it.
- Agret, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3Yeah there is, and a quick google will reveal how.
It basically involves getting a firmware dump from a microsoft drive and putting it over the top of a compatible retail drive. You'll be able to find tons of tutorials and whatnot though so just have a looky. - ociris, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3Does your mom know your g@y? just yes or no.
- Junior612, on 10/30/2008, -1/+4I third that. Although I did wait until SP 1 was released to download it.
- tehknotte, on 10/30/2008, -0/+3this is why your mom can't have nice things.
