- uncleguito, on 11/19/2008, -0/+18The new interface is much better than the old blades. It's fast, elegant, and has a bunch of new, useful features. As a 360 AND PS3 owner, I've given up hope on Home. After seeing NXE, I'd rather have some sort of heavily unified online service instead.

I was glad to see my full list of arcade games comes up so much faster and that a fwe other things seem to run smoother. Yeah I don't care for more adds, but I can continue to use some of my kick ass themes and in fact some look even better with this update. In the past wtih the blads, the text was hard to read since it sat on top of the busy background, making it hard to read what I had selected.
It was a good update, I am not certain it is an epic win, but still worth it to fix some issues and complaints as well as new integration - ie: Netflix streaming. - yanksn6, on 11/19/2008, -3/+13The intro vid is awesome. I play both console and PC shooters, and while I agree the mouse is far, far better for aiming, consoles have a HUGE advantage when it comes to movement. PC elitists tend to underestimate this, but a thumbstick allows for much easier, smoother and in some cases more accurate motion.
The other thing I see with PC players trying to play console shooters is they go about it wrong. With a console shooter, your aiming isn't as accurate, so you have to use your movement advantage to a far greater extent, and really link how you move and where you aim.
I'd be interested in seeing Xbox vs PC matches on a title such as CoD4, where the game works well on both systems. Halo 2 Vista was too much of a console game, and Shadowrun didn't quite have the skill ceiling needed for a true test. I'm fairly confident it would be much closer than the PC gamers expect. - Spid3y, on 11/20/2008, -2/+7It doesn't look like XMB.
The avatars aren't a rip from Mii's, it is an improvement.
They will actually be used instead of making everyone spend hours making it look like themselves and then only using them in Wii Sports. Instead we will be able to play game shows and hang around in a party looking at our other friends chillin there, and the other 700 billion things that the Xbox team will come up with to make their new feature used. Isn't that what people do with ideas? - thephosphorbox, on 11/20/2008, -0/+5I bought an xbox360 three weeks ago in anticipation of the streaming NetFlix and I am very happy with it. Video quality is very good and the UI is seamless. It does suck a little that you have to add the content via a computer, but I can live with it (probably faster to add with a PC than browsing via the gamepad anyway).

I am much happier at Microsoft allowing them to come onto the PC, it's a win for PC gamers and a win for Xbox 360 gamers. Who loses out? Well maybe except PS3. Both systems may be good, but frankly, PS3 has a long way to go. Sony got to big headed and that killed the PS3.
