New Xbox 360 Dashboard in Action [VIDEO]
xboxfocus.com — Microsoft laid a megaton when they announced that Xbox LIVE, our beloved and cherished online community, will be going under a massive revamp over the next few months. Not only will this suit the casual gamer more (avatars = Mii ripoffs anyone?), but the new dashboard will boast better functionality and...

- Mickeh65, on 07/15/2008, -5/+6Why is it that about 2 years after something has been released Microsoft copies it and then blatantly denies ripping it off?
- Xezial, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2They're denying it? I thought that they just weren't admitting to it.
- estvir, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1Where have they 'blatantly denied' it? Who created the first online system? Microsoft (Well, first good, robust one)? How horrible of Sony and Nintendo to copy them!
You moronic fanboys need to realise that industries, people use other people's ideas, evolve. I guess if you idiots were around when the wheel was invented you'd be clamouring for everyone to not use it and just leave it to the original man who created it?
Uh-oh, Microsoft added a hard-drive to their console, standard? Man, Sony really BLATANTLY DENIED RIPPING THEM OFF.
OH THE HORROR, WHATEVER SHALL WE DO?
You guys are incredibly stupid.- sirhomer, on 07/16/2008, -1/+1How dare you offend my extreme intelligence and wit by purchasing a device in which you waste endless amounts of time pushing buttons until repetitive strain settles in. For that device that of which you purchased is not equal of model to my own!
Nope, I honestly can't think of anything more mundane then spazzing out over video game consoles.
It's fun to read all your comments estvir and see how much of a epic fail you are.
But don't change. Keep em coming =)

I don't know what to think. The avatars look a bit pointless and stupid, though the 1 vs 100 game type thing actually looks quite cool. One thing that worries me is that they aren't improving upon the old dashboard, they are giving it a complete makeover and starting from scratch. I think they heard us wrong: We want that done with *Vista*, not the Dashboard. The Dashboard works, though it's a bit ugly, but it works. They should improve upon what they have done right.
I really don't know what to think. You can, of course, change back to the blade mode if you so disire, but it is still running on a completely different firmware framework, so even if it *looks* the same, it is still not the dashboard we have all gotten used to over the years.
Only time will tell.
I wouldn't be surprised if Microsoft can actually make something they've actually done right *bad* if they wanted to.- estvir, on 07/16/2008, -0/+1> You can, of course, change back to the blade mode if you so disire, but it is still running on a completely different firmware framework, so even if it *looks* the same, it is still not the dashboard we have all gotten used to over the years.
Wow, just wow. Please stop talking.

- kinseyincanada, on 07/15/2008, -0/+2I think the new Dashboard looks, great although i really wish they didnt call them channels, it all looks a lot slicker, and i actually like the ideas for avatars, they are no different then gamerpics just a lot more detailed, and at least they are using them for somehting unlike Miis, where they are basically useless.
