        I mean look at Times Square vs Star Junction (2nd row, 1st pic)... you couldn't say which one is real. Unless you've been to Times Square and if you didn't already know that the GTA images were on the right.

For instance, the in-game version of John F. Kennedy International Airport is named "Francis International Airport" because "Francis" was the middle name of JFK's brother. Also, Manhattan is re-named "Algonquin" because "Manhattan" is a word in the Algonquin language.

      Given this pattern, I think they changed the Statue of Liberty to the Statue of Happiness due to the famous phrase in the Declaration of Independence: that all people deserve the right to "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness."

      • ricopicouk, on 05/13/2008, -0/+2This is where things are strange with regards to graphics, - stuff can look awesome on 640p, - eg watch tv, look how lifelike stuff is when recorded with a video camera, - and watched on a standard crt tv, - real world is obviously better in graphics than any computer simulation.

        The way the computer industry has changed is going to high resultions, - should they try and find a way to make games more like real world, - i understand that this would take ALOT of texture modeling and the like, - but they could run stuff at 640p instead of 1080p.

        I suppose objects would have to be created per pixel, instead of a texture overlay

        I would've liked parachutes too... and betting on horse races, get some tattoos, hair cut, dance club with the g/f.. Its all pretty useless, but still things that I could waste time on in GTA:SA
