- carpespasm, on 10/10/2007, -3/+1301. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory
2. Prince of Persia: Sands of Time
3. Psychonauts
4. Jade Empire
5. Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay - totorototoro, on 10/10/2007, -5/+57Come on...it takes 3 pages to show 5 games?
- Cain141, on 10/10/2007, -2/+30lol Most places would have done 6 pages for five games...
- mushroom, on 10/10/2007, -4/+30Psychonauts is a great game and you can play it on the xbox 360
- codywalton, on 10/10/2007, -3/+26KOTOR FTW. Best Star Wars game ever.
- DeathJux, on 10/10/2007, -2/+23NINJA ***** GAIDEN.
I had to sell my Xbox before I beat it, but mannnnnnn... I discovered it after God of War, so to me it was like GoW on crazy ***** Japanese steroids. I kept the game for when I come across another Xbox in the future. - Patogrande, on 10/10/2007, -1/+15It should be noted that all of those except Riddick are playable on the 360.

"Microsoft...killing the internet, one link at a time."
How is this downed link Microsoft's fault? - Hale, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10Chronicles of Riddick is my favorite game from that list, but it's the only one that is not backwards compatible on X360. :(
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9Hell, when I worked at a K-Mart it went on clearance for $2. No joke.
- afruff23, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Let me add Ninja Gaiden: Black and to a lesser extent Need for Speed: Carbon (combines the best of police chases with exotics along with upgrading and customization).
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8$2 is a shame. This game Deserves more than that.
- Ayavaron, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9It should also be noted that all of them have versions available for PCs. Several of them are even available on Steam.
- bmdubya, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Prince of Persia 3 was better than 1? You are kidding right? Prince of Persia: Sands of Time was one of the best games of the last generation. I wish all the other games in the series were like the first one. But Ubisoft knew that if the game was based more on violence than on a good story, it would sell more. That pissed me off.
- Bahimiron, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7God, I can't stand people putting lists on multiple pages when they only need one.
Here. Here's a list of stupidly inexpensive games that are back-compat. All on one page, too. Gratz to me.
1. Mercenaries: Playground of Destruction. The best of the last gen GTA clones. Take GTA, get rid of the unavoidable missions that can be game-ending if you kinda suck, add in the ability to just blow everything the ***** up and the ability for clever people to get a helicopter within the first ten minutes and spend the next hour having a blast blowing ***** up and you have Mercs. Bonus points for having Peter Stormare as a voice actor.
2. Breakdown. Manages to be the best and worst game of the last generation. If FPSes make you motion sick anyway, avoid like the plague. FPS brawler that never leaves the perspective. The spin-kicks can test the stomachs of the toughest of men.
3. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic. Still the best RPG you can play on your 360.
4. Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth. Moody as hell FPS. Kind of a pain in the ass to get into, but worth it once you get into the shooty bits and the scary bits.
5. Psychonauts. The game everyone talks about, yet nobody played. Quite possibly the pinnacle of the platformer meets adventure genre. Some of the best one-liners in video game history.
Special award: Fable. It wasn't what was promised, but hell, maybe Fable 2 will be, so you might as well play the first one. Also, it goes for like six bucks at Gamestop. - lpmiller, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9you closed your joke tag, but failed to actually open it.
- Skanadian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6Wow, you're a disgrace to gamers.
- sirmo, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Prince of Persia: The Sand of Time was an awesome game.
- Danjak, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Riddick, ftw. Fun-ass game. I'd like to see a sequel on the next gen consoles (note the plural... no exclusivity!).
- velocity303, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Burger King Games FTW!!!
- velocity303, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Panzer Dragoon Orta should have been on the list. I loved that game.
- championchap, on 10/10/2007, -9/+13Oh god, those were the choices?
Psychonauts is a hell of a game.. but PoP:SoT? Eugh, I got halfway through that game and just couldn't carry on. The combat was horrible.
How about a little Beyond Good and Evil, Alien Hominid, Jet Set Radio.. you get the idea. - spoiled1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4http://www.duggmirror.com
- jordan1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Half-Life 2 is backwards compatible and was only $5 at Circuit City a few weeks ago. Great game.
- mrfreeziexp, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Thank you so much.. And I totally agree with Splinter Cell. I got it from a local game store for $1.99 and it is soooo worth it.
- xrunner33, on 10/10/2007, -2/+6While KOTOR was great, Jade Empire remains my favorite Xbox title. Bioware knows its stuff, incredible games.
- boredsam, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3$400 for a game I got for free off the internet.... Grid Wars FTW!! http://worldofstuart.excellentcontent.com/grid/wars.htm
- myarcade, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3We had to move to a dedicated server to accommodate our growing community. I have rushed the data center and they have the server online. Transferring over site data then we are good to go. Sorry for this folks, we where planning on transferring by the end of this month, apparently we could not wait that long. Anyways, should be no more than an hour.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+5Beyond Good and Evil was a good action-RPG.
- RedViper1999, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Metal Arms a Glitch in the System should be included, one of the great games no one played or has even heard of.
- artemis1, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Never having had an xbox I wasn't able to play Psychonauts, though I really wanted to. Finally got to play it online via GameTap and thought it was great, in a league with my other underplayed, lamented favorite Beyond Good and Evil.
- DocHoliday22, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Account Suspended.
- SocialPoison, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2JSRF is awesome... especially since you can pick it up for $0.99
- btgoss, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4Digg needs a picture section, because that picture of the gray bar saying "account disabled" would be the most popular.
- KSUdesigner, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3This list was not for 360 games, pay attention.
- HappyScrappy, on 10/10/2007, -4/+6Psychonauts is great. I have Jade Empire and don't like it at all. Then again, I have Ninja Gaiden: Black and don't like it either, so maybe I'm just defective.
- gfreeman223, on 10/10/2007, -1/+3you're the ***** joke asswipe, let's turn digg into one big liberal whine blog tracker.
Digg was conceived by a geek, and it is used by geeks. Go knit a hemp sweater and suck on a dick shaped bong douchebag! - sacherjj, on 10/10/2007, -2/+4In what world are you talking about? Most of the internet is on unix.
- beckerist, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2The funny thing is, I played NFS: Carbon on both a 360 and an Xbox with the component cable (so both were at least 720p on my TV) and they both looked VERY similar. A few more jaggies on the Xbox (expected) but seriously, same game minus some online features and achievements...
- serpentor, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2DuggMirror 404 on page 2 :(
- Jeffler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2Total...you aren't getting those for less than $5 each unless you rip some kid off.
- bigdumbanimal, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I'd also like to add:
Fable: The Lost Chapters
KOTOR
Jet Set Radio Future
NHL Hitz 03 - bCabulon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+2I've been thinking of picking up an original xbox.
- Wugie, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3If you have to but /joke, the joke probably sucked.
- yournightmare, on 10/10/2007, -3/+4"In Case You Missed It: 5 Great Xbox Games for Under $50 Total!"
--Damn, I missed it. - EmperorAwesome, on 10/10/2007, -2/+3The combat wasn't the point. The environment was the enemy. It's input from people like you that created the horrendous monstrosity that was 'warrior within'.
- Chicken2nite, on 10/10/2007, -1/+2I bought myself a PS2 for the first time back in march, grabbed a handful of games for really cheap. ever since I managed to grab mercenaries for 30 bucks on the xbox way back when I haven't spent more than that amount on a game and don't plan on it anytime soon. The PC gaming market is filled with bargains if you wait for them to bundle the expansion in with the core game (Rome: Total War and Warhammer come to mind) which is probably where I'll be going next with my gaming fix rather than the next gen.
- Pingspike, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1lol, only just reached front page and its already dead. Someone should get a better host with more bandwidth.
- scrag10, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1But how much does KOTOR cost? Game Story trumps Violence anyday.
- Hypermarkalan, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1First time here, I take it?
