FYI: You can build one of those very easily and for pretty cheap. Get a cheapo webcam or old camcorder...preferably one that's only black and white or has a black and white mode. Then get some of the biggest, brightest IR LED's you can find, build a power supply, and make an array out of them. Best way to do it is similar to the pic, a ring of them around the camera lens with a reflector of some sort. Turn on the LED's and put the camera in the dark, and there ya' go. It's basically a huge IR flashlight that only the camera can see. Nice quick project for a Science Fair in HS (do they still do those?) or a college electronics course. - Tarkaan, on 11/11/2009, -0/+15Please. Not to mention it's even more disappointing that FPS games are taking a step backwards. 9 vs 9? No custom maps or mods? No dedicated servers? No console, kicking, or banning?
And there's nothing left to do but complain. Since IW has made it clear it's all about the bottom line, the only way to convince them to make a better PC version is to buy the this stripped down version in record numbers? I went and checked them out @ toys r us yesterday when I heard the rumors about it. the only thing changed was the placement of the lens and its style to look less sci fi and more military. all the controls are the same and has the same electronics inside. so all these dumb asses paid around $100 for a $30-40 toy. how stupid is that? I give it a month before some idiot is on the news for trying to drive down the road using these and causes an accident...

- ModernTenshi, on 11/11/2009, -0/+6They're not as real as ones you could buy from suppliers of Army surplus stores or other dealers, but for what they are, the goggles that come with the Prestige edition are pretty damn awesome.
I walked around my home around midnight with them, and save for not having any depth perception since it's just a screen in front of my eyes, they worked surprisingly well.

the connection quality and lack of lag are flawless on the console for MW2. they even dump a ***** host mid game and pick the best one out of the available lot if the host connection quality dissolves. i've noticed absolutely no evidence of a host advantage like in GOW. Is it just that you want to have a spot to play that is "always on?"
