and on a side note, been playing it for a good hour now and its really great fun.
forge is pretty plain on that map but the filters they give you seam to work very well.
good work Bungie and good work Microsoft making this free. - CollapseControl, on 07/08/2008, -4/+6I recall CHILL OUT very well back in the day with all the LAN games I used to play. This map was in heavy rotation between my friends and I. I was excited to hear it being remade.
But after I just tested it out last night it didn't do much for me. It feels a lot smaller than I remembered. It could also be the fact that i'm not playing Halo that much anymore. - jake108, on 07/08/2008, -1/+3I've played MLG FFA V5 on it with about nine people, Team Oddball, and CTF games with 4 on each team on the map. Surprisingly, there wasn't as much spawn-killings as you'd think. The turns in the hallways help out with that along with the fact that you don't spawn out in the open very much. Still, the smaller the number, the better experience you'll probably get.

- Megaten, on 07/09/2008, -0/+1Meh, it wouldn't work most likely. They already tried to remake it in Halo 2 and it was completely broken in comparison to 1's. The main problem is that the BR doesn't have the same range as the Pistol did, in comparison to their versions of the map. As in, the pistol's length based on the size of the map in Halo 1 was perfect. In Halo 2, the BR couldn't compensate for the map being made seemingly larger...well, that and the fact that 3-bullet bursts aren't going to be that effective from the long distances between Red and Blue bases. Also, without fall damage it's a pretty ***** stupid map to begin with.
But I feel for ya on wishing they could try to redo it yet again, only this time it magically work. Won't happen though - instead I'd rather they try to bring back maps that actually would be welcome. Battle/Beaver Creek, Longest/Elongation, Wizard/Warlock...those were already remade with this new 'BR' focus 2 and 3 have taken, and worked well...so bring em back yet again. And as for ones that haven't been tapped...why not bring back Halo 2's Midship. Casuals love it, pros for god damn sure do...and it'd certainly help fill the void of smaller maps. Also, while you're at it, bring back Damnation from Halo 1.
