No playable demo is coming to the Marketplace. They're going to demo the game and release that as a video.

At the tail end of the half hour demo repeat of what we saw at E3, Ensemble Studios revealed that the world will soon get to see the demo in its entirety. No, it won't be playable. But starting on Monday, August 27, a video of the complete Halo Wars E3 demo will be available to download on Ensemble Studios' webpage as well as through the Xbox Live Marketplace.

Except he's right. Halo was announced at MacWorld (before Bungie was bought by Microsoft). But Bungie did a documentary in which they showed the original Halo, which was based on their Myth series of strategy games.

People are starving for Halo content right now...releasing the demo now gets you exposure to entire Halo fanbase. If you wait until after Halo 3 is released then too many people are going to ignore the demo and just play Halo 3.

The part in the trailer where the Spartan says, "This is Spartan group Omega, if they want a war, we'll give them a war" actually gave me a goosebumps. Still, I think I'm more excited about Tom Clancy's Endwar.

- sevink, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1the biggest difference you people need to realize is this. All RTS are MADE for PCS. But this one is MADE for 360. It is not taking into effect the mouse and keyboard as its original source so as such it will be made with the controller in mind. The other RTS games were PC then console so they were just ports. no worries. I'm not saying this game will be good but I'm interested in knowing how they make it work for the 360. I bet a lot of people will be surprised.

- 0Degrees, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Aside from a few minor headaches with C&C 4 on 360, the control system works decent but definitely could be better no doubt. As far as the actual game play is concerned..... nothing more than tank massing because it's easier to control 100 tanks then 20 of this and 20 of that, gets out of control.
