- bone625, on 07/12/2008, -1/+9800 dollars will get you something that will easily surpass consoles as far as graphics are concerned. The graphics are nice on the PS3 and 360, but even with a 8800 GT, which can be had for damn cheap these days, you can turn most games (minus crysis) up to 1900X1200ish resolution with AA on. The same games on the consoles look WAY better on a PC at that point. Most PS3/360 games are what, 500-700P ish? There is a bit more cost to a computer, yes, but it can be more cost effective when you consider that down the road you simply have to upgrade a video card/ ram/ whatever, not buy a whole new system. Next gen consoles require well, a new console.
- lennybird, on 07/12/2008, -2/+10Ryvenn shouldn't be dugg down, he speaks the truth, though you probably wouldn't even need that powerful of a computer. The majority of the work load is on the processor calculating the physics of each car and ragdoll body - a quad core on a compatible engine would easily handle this.
Also true about how cheap computer parts are now.
@Jenadae: I heard both that 32-bit programs accept 4 gig and I've heard that they accept 3. Regardless, the other remainder can be used for background programs. Regardless, 2 gigs would be plenty. - Tenetri, on 07/12/2008, -1/+9127.0.0.1

- smashfest, on 07/12/2008, -0/+8yeah, that's always been the funniest part since GTA3. I used to blow up cars with a rocket launcher and let it roll into the river, then about ten or more civilians would walk into the water to look at the car and end up drowning themselves. never got old.
