even still, i signed it. i love me some goldeneye. - HappyScrappy, on 01/13/2008, -4/+90If internet petitions worked, Bruce Campbell would star in every movie.
- inactive, on 01/13/2008, -10/+68Make this like Ron Paul...only more important.
Sex > Video games > Country - SiNN4R, on 01/13/2008, -5/+46Yes the billion online petitions before this have done nothing but this one will be different.
- Dustmuffins, on 01/13/2008, -6/+43This is a game I will NEVER EVER play, but I know that thousands of people (and diggers) will really enjoy it.
Signed. - Frogee, on 01/13/2008, -7/+36I rly hope they didn't change too much *****, cause if it comes out and too much ***** is changed, then even more people will be pissed.
- Nerfdude, on 01/13/2008, -3/+27no online petition has ever been successful at anything. firefly was canceled. they never made a Samurai Pizza Cats movie. there was never an official release of Thrill Kill.
- Rocketman1882, on 01/13/2008, -5/+26They should just put Goldeneye on both XBL and VC... I went back and played it the other day. It's really a different control scheme from modern FPS's... I think on Halo it's called Southpaw.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -6/+24DO WANT
- samfishercell, on 01/13/2008, -5/+22I've got to say, I'm a huge Nintendo fan, and currently own a Wii and not a 360 (although I may pick one up soon). It would be one thing if Nintendo was moving towards a Goldeneye launch of their own,
HOWEVER, if Nintendo refuses to provide gamers with Goldeneye [side note: I doubt they'd take it online since Nintendo cowers when faced with 'the net'], they're doing a disservice to the gaming community by purposefully standing in the way of it's release. If you're not going to do it yourself, don't stifle process.
Bah humbug Nintendo. Signed and Dugg. - MalDON, on 01/13/2008, -0/+13Video Games > Sex > Country
Fixed. This is digg remember? - HappyScrappy, on 01/13/2008, -4/+16They were probably already going to do one anyway and just latched onto the petition to get more publicity/sales.
Every AAA title gets a special edition now, even before BioShock, and without petitions. - Bartboy919, on 01/13/2008, -3/+14No Onlines?!
- inactive, on 01/13/2008, -2/+12With Christian Bale as his son?
*****, time to start another petition. - BlueSkyfish, on 01/13/2008, -3/+13That's why they should release it for Wii's Virtual Console too.
- t0ny, on 01/13/2008, -2/+12No people buying the dvd did.
- louiedog, on 01/13/2008, -1/+11Believe it or not sometimes clueless execs make decisions because they don't understand what the customer wants. Signatures on a petition look like dollar signs. It's like free market research that says, "This many people are potential customers, and that's just out of those that go to this website." Years ago Disney was getting close to releasing Mononoke HIme, an anime movie by a well known director. There were no plans to include subtitles and the original Japanese language track. Within just a few days something like 400,000 signatures poured in from an online petition and Disney gave the customers what they wanted. They had no idea anyone cared that much until the customers showed them.
I agree that most online petitions are stupid and do nothing. TV execs have the numbers in front of them. Signing a petition isn't going to bring back your nerdy science fiction because they already know how much support there is for the product. This is different. Making these people know how much gamers want this to come out may motivate them to try a little harder because they get a better sense of what they have to gain. - ciano, on 01/13/2008, -2/+11On Halo it's (appropriately) called Legacy.
- skunkman62, on 01/13/2008, -1/+10we need a petition to end online petitions

Thank you for contacting Nintendo,
Please note that even though we're no longer working directly with Rare, Nintendo's great franchise characters such as Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, and Star Fox remain exclusive to Nintendo systems. However, Rare retains rights to franchises and characters they created, including "Killer Instinct," "Perfect Dark," "Conker," and "Banjo-Kazooie."
Also, just because Rare is no longer a second party developer doesn't mean they are done making software for Nintendo. In fact, Rare and THQ have developed and released several titles for the Game Boy Advance platform since the sale, including Banjo Kazooie: Grunty's Revenge, Banjo Pilot, Sabre Wulf, and It's Mr. Pants. Be sure to visit our website (www.nintendo.com) for the latest information on current and future titles for our systems.
Thanks for your email!

Nintendo you are making a large mistake by not doing some sort of deal with Microsoft on the Goldeneye port to the xbox 360 as if you go to http://digg.com/gaming_news/Why_Did_GoldenEye_XBLA ... you will see there are a ton of people that wanted this port and were willing to pay for it as a brand spanking new game on xbox live. Please report this form to the higher ups as it would be good for Nintendo to make sure to do this. Please and thank you.
sincerely,
A lover of the GoldenEye game - Juntistik, on 01/13/2008, -1/+9Rare was working on it so I have full trust in the potential it has.
- estvir, on 01/13/2008, -0/+8Whoa, settle down Sally.
- MalDON, on 01/13/2008, -3/+11You ***** off.
- skywake, on 01/13/2008, -1/+964 games play better with the GameCube controller then the Classic Controller so I don't see what your point is.....
- Sairgem, on 01/13/2008, -0/+8Southpaw is for left handed people.
- PooChunk, on 01/13/2008, -16/+23Itz time for gamers to unite and voice their opinion for what they want. This petition stands a real chance of being successful. Almost 1000 sigs already. SIGN IT
- DavidGX, on 01/13/2008, -2/+9Then ***** off.
- Pixelante, on 01/13/2008, -0/+6No, nuts brought back Jericho. Everybody knows Jericho is produced by squirrels.
- STARTSOMETHING, on 01/13/2008, -2/+8Should we make another petition?
- theycallmebubba, on 01/13/2008, -1/+7Dude - it already HAD multiplayer. I think you might mean 'ONLINE multiplayer', right?
- fr0ng, on 01/13/2008, -3/+9Microsofts marketing team will know if enough people want it.
- XBSHX, on 01/13/2008, -11/+17You've pressured a company to make and release a game before, funny thing... I don't remember that.
- RIAAagent, on 01/13/2008, -0/+6Even if Goldeneye was canceled.
What about BK and PD?
are they still rumors? Will they come up in the aracde? - cl2yp71c, on 01/13/2008, -2/+7I guess I'll sign it, after all, it's for CHANGE!
(and not 9/11) - AzureRise, on 01/13/2008, -1/+6Where do I sign?
- EGOvoruhk, on 01/13/2008, -1/+6Didn't petitioning bring back Jericho?
- xp0rk917, on 01/13/2008, -26/+31Hey guys if you have any more contacts for execs at both MS and Nintendo please share them in the comments so I can add to the blog. Lets make this happen!
- se1zure, on 01/13/2008, -1/+6if they are fun, why not.
- DavidGX, on 01/13/2008, -2/+7On the Wii it would most likely NOT be playable online.. so I'd rather see it on the 360.
- saleem, on 01/13/2008, -2/+7the word was that it was not changed at all, same graphics, same guns, levels, etc, just added multiplayer
- saleem, on 01/13/2008, -1/+51) goldeneye going on XBLA is a huge opportunity, and the added multiplayer is a big advantage. no way it would be split 50/50 just for licensing from nintendo
2) if you get it on n64, you lose the online multiplayer action - DPowers08, on 01/13/2008, -5/+9I'd rather see it untouched and on Wii, but that's me.
- jjremy, on 01/13/2008, -6/+10Wii controller: white with light blue highlights
360 controller: white with yellow, blue, green and red highlights.
Now which one was more clownish again? ...not that there's anything wrong with that. - ClOlD, on 01/13/2008, -1/+5I think you had to go to college in the late 90s. Goldeneye was the best game to sit around playing drunk with three buddies. You can't socialize with PC games.
- Protoss, on 01/13/2008, -1/+5/Sarcasm?
- truspect0r, on 01/13/2008, -4/+8You're dumb.
- kvzuky, on 01/13/2008, -0/+4Actually, they had removed some characters due to licensing issues or something like that.
- MalDON, on 01/13/2008, -1/+4Why both with those two? They get so many emails the chances of you getting heard is like trying to hook up with a girl on digg.
- jkwong1, on 01/13/2008, -4/+7Yeah, XBox needs another first-person shooter!
- DwightSchruter, on 01/13/2008, -0/+3NO U
