- streetsim, on 05/17/2008, -7/+1So....Bungie basically sent him to Microsoft to keep a closer eye on Microsoft to stop them before they frak up?
- hokeywebb22, on 05/17/2008, -1/+5Well considering Bungie is not owned by Microsoft anymore I doubt they can just send someone to another company. Also bungie does not own the rights to Halo so they don't have a say in what happens to it.
- streetsim, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2Yea, so Bungie would send him there to act as a kind of mole to make sure they don't mess up their baby. It's not hard for someone who has already made a name for himself in a franchise to switch to the company that currently holds the rights.

- blurrie, on 05/17/2008, -6/+3a bungie-less halo. =(
- djbuhhda, on 05/17/2008, -6/+1i cant believe he is leaving this is one of the saddest things all year.
- VarelseSoul, on 05/17/2008, -9/+9I would care more if Halo lived up to it's hype.
- Snokage, on 05/17/2008, -3/+2yeah. because you can admit the first time you played halo you weren't satisfied.
while i personally don't play halo anymore, i did enjoy the time i did spend playing it. - thealec, on 05/18/2008, -1/+1Halo 3 had a bunch of retards expecting everything, and a bunch of super-retards waiting to jump on weaknesses. Halo 3 has one of the best Physics engines out there. The fact that the graphics are revamped is not the point of Halo 3- the Theater, Forge, Giant online community, and great controls were its main features. Go masturbate to Crysis or something.

- DEEP_NNN, on 05/17/2008, -2/+1I can't help but feel disturbed by some of these recent changes in Staff at Bungie. I know it's not uncommon for people to change jobs but it almost seems as if Bungie's old vision is changing to a new vision and the cobwebs are getting swept away. I can only hope this new vision is something I like.
Being that Frankie only came to Bungie during Halo 2 production I feel his input, into the Halo world I like, was perhaps minimal. Now I read he is going to M$ to be involved with new Halo projects. Will his new Halo world be one that I like? I hope so but I'm concerned I'm losing Halo at both Bungie and M$.
I'm not at all convinced Bungie will be able to replace my Halo fix with something better. I know I want more new Halo.
I suggest Bungie start releasing new maps at a more rapid pace. Perhaps even releasing them one at a time. Now might be a very good time to release a free map pack.
I also think that if Bungie has any Halo 3 Aces hiding up their sleeves, now would be a good time to play them. Anything that could add extra life to the Campaign and Multi-player would be nice. Halo 3 doesn't have the luxury that Halo 2 did.- AMACTASTIC, on 05/17/2008, -0/+2Halo, as brilliant as it is, is past it's prime. Bungie is capable of much more, as shown by their pre-halo days. (The Marathon trilogy, Myth 1 and 2, Oni). I'm looking forward to them putting Halo behind them and moving on to another creation.
(All the staff changes are an obvious indicator that they are in fact putting Halo behind them and moving on to something else) - colincornaby, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2"I know it's not uncommon for people to change jobs but it almost seems as if Bungie's old vision is changing to a new vision and the cobwebs are getting swept away."
More like changing back to how they used to be. You know, when they actually had creative new games instead of just sequels to the same game over and over again.

- brainboy77, on 05/17/2008, -5/+1i would like rhe multiplayer in halo 4 to be better. after playing CoD4, halo is like yoshi to CoD4's mario on super mushrooms with the freeze suit from galaxy.
- dansmeek, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2what the hell kind of an analogy is that?
- thealec, on 05/19/2008, -0/+0A brainboy analogy.

- RoadDoggFL, on 05/18/2008, -0/+2Oh man, this is great news. Now if only they'd get rid of his old job of ***** Artist Extraordinaire, Bungie might stop sucking again.
Really, Frankie's excitement for the worst aspects of Halo's sequels were the worst kind of PR Bungie could've had over the past few years. Good riddance.- thealec, on 05/18/2008, -2/+0Go get road-killed, *****. Frankie was awesome and made the Bungie site feel less like Microsoft ***** and more like the brainchild of an intensely creative studio.
- RoadDoggFL, on 05/18/2008, -0/+1Right, the hype he spewed about Halo 3 during its development was nowhere near met by the final product. He was a paid fanboy. I'm sure he did a fine job in his non community-related work, but his interaction with fans was a joke.
He reasoned that glitches made Halo 3 awesome (the melee glitch where one player was sent flying), only to have it fixed almost right away. I won't miss him, maybe he'll fit in working on a Halo game that's not by Bungie.- thealec, on 05/19/2008, -0/+0OK sorry about the childish name calling. Anyway, my point was that Frankie made a lot of fans happy. Me too. Anyway, most of his statements (Water physics, HDR, Random *****) were true... Even if he overstated them. It feels to me that Bungie has LOST something rather than gaining from his reassignment. Also, I don't think Microsoft deserves someone who can laugh working for their image... Anyway, yeah.
