- terminalpariah, on 01/18/2008, -7/+70A couple of overlooked games:
Dead Rising was really deep and innovative, in addition to being one of the best-looking games on the 360 to date.
Crackdown was overshadowed by the Halo 3 beta but to this day I've played more Crackdown than Halo. One of the best sandbox games ever, made even better by co-op play. - Gundabad, on 01/18/2008, -4/+65Just think the use of Criterion Collection in the title is totally unnecessary
- TalkingBanana, on 01/18/2008, -8/+51O 'cmon, what about Viva Pinata??
- Braingoo, on 01/18/2008, -9/+435 of those I play on my PC but the rest are defiantly Xbox360 must owns But my personal favorite is missing, where is RockBand
- Calcheesmo, on 01/18/2008, -5/+37What about Sneak King?
- Hoogs, on 01/18/2008, -2/+31BioShock
Gears of War
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion
Forza Motorsport 2
The Orange Box
Halo 3
Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
Guitar Hero II/III
Mass Effect
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare - asdfuiop, on 01/18/2008, -6/+33Anyone else think Rock Band was better than Guitar Hero III? Mildly controversial choice IMHO
- efelleman, on 01/18/2008, -7/+30Mass Effect: "Player choices have lasting impacts on the lives of everyone in the game"
Bioshock: "Gamers are forced to make moral decisions that have a real impact on the world around them."
Do we really need to exaggerate this much now that the dust has settled? They were good games, but come on, we all know that both of those statements are pushing it! - inactive, on 01/18/2008, -1/+19That would mean you would walk into the 360? Because you'd be facing it again.
- macaddct1984, on 01/18/2008, -1/+19Seriously. This is a really lame list
Bioshock, Gears of War, Elder Scrolls 4, Forza 2, Orange box, Halo 3, Geometry Wars, GH II/III, Mass Effect, Call of Duty 4
Basically, every the top sold/rated games of 2007.
How about some overlooked, not as popular/obvious games? - DrywallThief, on 01/18/2008, -5/+22Splinter Cell: Double Agent and Crackdown (come on, you know you loved collecting those green orbs lol) are both very good overlooked games. SC:DA has really fun online play. I'm surprised virtually no one plays it online.
- Maloney, on 01/18/2008, -3/+20bitches don't know about my moonwalk
- npsken, on 01/18/2008, -2/+17As a musician who plays those games let me tell you that you just don't know how to have fun...
- theenginedriver, on 01/18/2008, -1/+14Damn you and your "defiantly." When will you gaming rebels play by the rules?!
- shakin, on 01/18/2008, -1/+13I don't know about an alien armada, but if we're ever attacked by terrorists or counter-terrorists who wall hack and jump around constantly instead of walk, I've got us all covered.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -4/+15Orange Box, mah boiiiiiii
- inactive, on 01/18/2008, -1/+112007 was a year for shooters for sure. I just wish they put EA's Skate. up there. Best sports game of the year in my opinion.
- UltraPenguinX, on 01/18/2008, -7/+17I disagree. I found Dead Rising to be very, very repetitive. It was cool how they allowed everything to be a weapon, but that got old rather quickly. Crackdown, however, is awesome.
- inactive, on 01/18/2008, -0/+9Second page. It's there, don't worry.
- bagboyrebel, on 01/18/2008, -0/+9I have yet to meet a person that actually equate playing one of those games instead of playing guitar. By your logic people who play first person shooters are cocky ***** who think they could take on an alien armada for real now.
- Jimbob200, on 01/18/2008, -2/+11Bioshock, Gears, Orange Box, Halo3, Mass Effect, and Call of Duty are the cream of the crop. I don't see any reason not to include them on that list. The others are up for debate...for example, I don't know why the hell Geometry Wars is in that list. If you're going to make a list, at least make it actual Xbox games.
- Dylson, on 01/18/2008, -3/+11Crackdown is the most addicting game ive played in a while.
- thecoldfunk, on 01/18/2008, -2/+10Well, you're the man then...
- spicytuna, on 01/18/2008, -3/+11um.. you can't walk AWAY after turning a full circle.
- drewfer, on 01/18/2008, -1/+8Crackdown > Crackrocks
- inactive, on 01/18/2008, -0/+7Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved
Mass Effect
Orange Box
Halo 3
Guitar Hero II/III
Call of Duty 4 - skunkman62, on 01/18/2008, -0/+7thank you gamefly employee. thats the way to push your product.
- pilot3033, on 01/18/2008, -0/+6And you know that Yahtzee has some other things to say about the "choices" in these games ;)
- TwoXist, on 01/18/2008, -9/+15No Viva Pinata?
- fani, on 01/18/2008, -1/+7Crackdown is one of my favorite Xbox360 games. I never bought it for the overhyped beta on it which turned out to be meh finally
- eternal464, on 01/18/2008, -3/+9give him credit, he's clever
- inactive, on 01/18/2008, -0/+5Can you notice a difference when you play them? I sure as hell can't. Plus, since my PC isn't great, it looks much better on the Xbox.
- kilodelta, on 01/18/2008, -0/+5own 'em all except COD4. (saving money for new place, so sacrifices have to be made).
i also haven't eaten in 3 days. - sweatyyeti, on 01/18/2008, -0/+5RTFA
- exomni, on 01/18/2008, -1/+6Did you even bother to read the ***** list?
- nattybohman, on 01/18/2008, -0/+5Dead Rising had potential, but it had so many deal killers that I didn't really enjoy it. The save game system was atrocious and bad enough to ruin the game for me alone. Also, the way weapons broke after so many uses. I could go on, but I don't think I need to.
It's a shame too, the basic gameplay was fantastic. - adh3isive, on 01/18/2008, -1/+5They broke multiplayer with Double Agent. Chaos Theory was waay better.
- inactive, on 01/18/2008, -0/+4Loved dead rising, but got stuck in the parking garage....then i think crackdown came out and all was forgotten....
- DrZocktahedron, on 01/18/2008, -4/+8I dont see why guitar hero 2 is there but Rock Band isnt.
Im suprised the third is too for that matter, Rock Band is an epic multiplayer game. - andregriffin, on 01/18/2008, -2/+6Clever after being a complete idiot. So I'd say he's about on par.
- killtheaquitted, on 01/18/2008, -0/+4why are you reading this then?
- tattertech, on 01/18/2008, -2/+6Agreed, the moral choice in Bioshock was simplistic in design, effect, and thought. Mass Effect appears more complicated, but seems to me to be more just a variation in specific dialog than anything else.
- CaptainAO, on 01/18/2008, -0/+4Personally, I think PGR4 is the best racer on the 360. Sure, I know Forza 2 was designed to be a simulation, but it didn't have nearly the kind of refinement or class to be in the same league as other sim racers like the GT series.
- markwilcox, on 01/18/2008, -0/+4Kinda sucks on 360 compared to PC, but if you only have a 360 and not a PC that'll run it, it's definately one of the best games on the platform.
- calibration, on 01/18/2008, -1/+5Buried, Warhawk.
Half those games aren't that good anyways. - staticneuron, on 01/18/2008, -1/+5Honestly... where is dead rising? I love that game to death. It had a perfect balance. An open ended sandbox action rpg fusion game that also ha a strong story behind it...... if you could stay alive long enough to complete the story sequences.
- Burrito, on 01/18/2008, -0/+3You can blame Xbox fanboyism if you want but the truth is I have no clue what you're talking about. Good grammar and logical sentence structure, for the win.
- Skeithy, on 01/18/2008, -1/+4Dead Rising is the most fun I've had on a 360 so far, the first run though with the story is great. Then trying to kill all the psychopaths, rescuing survivors or killing the 50,000 some zombies needed for that achievement is still fun. One thing always bothered me about the game, it has extremely detailed faces and cloths. Then crappy hands and feet. We need Dead Rising 2 to come out, infected city!
- Nerfdude, on 01/18/2008, -5/+8dead rising's controls were awful.
- Cerebral, on 01/18/2008, -0/+3??? There are quite a few games missing off of this list. Not to mention that there are about 10-15 XBLA games that IMO are must haves for one reason or another that are not on the list.
