- Spaceomega, on 10/11/2007, -2/+77Viral Marketing, it's like crack to all gamers.
- wvannus, on 10/11/2007, -2/+36It's the ark's monitor. The ark is on earth. The hours since last detonation equals 99,455 years. In the halo universe, the halos were activated 100,000 years ago. 100000 - 99455 = 545. 2007 + 545 = 2552, the year Halo 1 takes place in.
Basically, it's the Ark's monitor checking up on humanity, implying our universe is an older Halo universe. - Davisourus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+35It's not really like crack as much as it's like coke. I mean the soda.
It's there, it doesn't take much to access, gives you a slight buzz to consume.
Then you go back to whatever you were doing. - HBNDonut, on 10/11/2007, -1/+25""Why do they bother? This game is gonna sell like 2 million copies in the first week of release regardless of what Bungie does.
What a waste of resources!""
Maybe it's because Bungie are one of the few really great game developers out there, and they really know how to treat thier fans. - AdjutantReflex, on 10/11/2007, -3/+26This seems to be another suitable place.

The best buy here will let me preorder Halo 3.
Other than that, I already know the game is coming, I'm already going to buy it -- is there any reason to play into this viral campaign, then? It seems the target of the campaign are fans who use bnet..
Ah, well, I guess doing this is better than going from halo 3 to halo 2. You really start noticing the auto aim and other things after you see how well they fixed it in halo 3. - SkallyMM, on 10/11/2007, -8/+24I get it so I dugg you down.

This is pretty cool what me and my friend found. If you try to make an Xbox Live gamertag and call it "adjutant reflex", it says it's taken, but if you try to add it as a friend it says it doesn't exist. On the video responses you'll also see that if you try to make one as "adjutantreflex" it is actually taken. If you try to add THAT one to your list, on your 360 the name of it instead shows up as one of the codes you get from the 7499.com site if you win the dots game, with a silver account, 0 gamerscore, 3 star rep, a halo gamerpic, and a motto that says "compound intelligence". On xbox.com it shows up as "adjutantreflex" again and when you click on it it brings you to an error screen and says that the gamertag cannot be found.
This gamertag will probably be used by Microsoft/Bungie as a continuation of the "AI" on Bungie.net and have gamers interact with it on Live at a later date, much like the Marcus Fenix gamertag used as viral marketing before Gears of War launched. - trigger119, on 10/11/2007, -1/+11Awesome! this should be fun for a lot of Halo fanatics, provided they aren't lazy.
- DarKnight90, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9Gamers want:
1) Good game play.
2) Being able to host and control your own matches.
3) No *****. - quaunaut, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9@defectDS:
Nope, or else he wouldn't have a custom title. - rspeed, on 10/11/2007, -1/+9The name "Adjutant Reflex" follows the same pattern of a Forerunner installation Monitor.

What else do you need but the Ark, when you are being threatened by The Flood? :-) - spindrift, on 10/11/2007, -1/+8In the Halo universe, the Ark (something very very significant) is in Mombasa, not far from Voi.
- Suroot, on 10/11/2007, -3/+10God, if they bring another ARG forward I'm going to fall in love with Halo 3 before it even comes out. And btw, for those of you that don't like ARG's that's fine, but don't act like it's a waste of time. Cause frankly, so is playing the video game!

- logicalnoise, on 10/11/2007, -2/+7it was a wasted effort because as soon as people figured out the big suprise at the end it posted everywhere anyways and people who didn't even play the ARG went to the early peeks at halo 2.

riiiiight.
i don't think you're in a position to judge that accurately if all you played was matchmaking, where random teams are put together and the settings are designed for the average player. that's like pubbing cs and calling it nonstrategic, or playing smash bros. with items on and calling it frantic. - alakev, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4tell us more!!!

What is required to return to systems facilitation? Do you require the services of a Reclaimer? - rogersj3, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I've been looking for subliminal things in the digital noise background on the pages, but so far nothing of significance.
As to getting dots - I had some success by reading the passage and guessing the year it was written, and choosing the option with the last two numbers that most closely resembled my guess. I got a bunch in a row that way, but blew it when the passages became historically obtuse. - OwdenBowden, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Did some research into the websites. see full details below but they are all registered by the same person. Even the company that did the web design "Top Cola Inc" all goes back to Matt Asher . Maybe these are anagrams for something or someone?

Adjutant Reflex is probably the Ark's Monitor. It's probably gonna have the number 16807. It's a power of 7 number. - acdcfanbill, on 10/11/2007, -2/+4I am the keymaster, are you the gatekeeper?

- Ocelot13, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1so its counting down to the 21st?
- Jinno, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2Adjutant is a military assistant. My guess that he's one of the monitors on the Ark that you would go to to establish that the activation of Delta Halo was accidental, or that you'd go to to fire the Ark. Considering that he's scouring the internet, and specifically Bungie sites for data, I assume that he's obtaining information regarding what has been happening to make his own assumptions as to which side he should asssist, and to see if the Flood have spread off of the Halos and onto shieldworlds.
- laughatyou, on 10/11/2007, -1/+2 it means this
Adjutant is a military rank or appointment.
In some armies it is an officer who assists a more senior officer, while in other armies it is a rank, which normally corresponds roughly to a Commonwealth Staff Sergeant or Warrant Officer.
Adjutant comes from the Latin adiutans, present participle of the verb adiutare, "to help"; the Romans actually used adiutor for the noun.
