- evilelf2407, on 10/10/2007, -7/+43yeah we get it
- byronm, on 10/10/2007, -0/+31Even though the demo isn't very long i've played through it several times.. i just can't wait for this sucker to be released. Wish i would have gone to toys r us :( hehe
- airiox, on 10/10/2007, -1/+26$10 off at circuit city on Tuesday, wooo!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+24"Not everyone is into shooting thunder out of their hands......."
You sir, are wrong! - hassanchop13, on 10/10/2007, -7/+30you're so cool and unique and independent. fight the power, never be mainstream, etc etc.
- Mast3rDigg3r, on 10/10/2007, -4/+22Yeah, well it was leaked early and thousands of people are playing it. I've been playing it for the past few days and it is really fun and quite challenging as well. The AI intelligence is pretty unreal. It's a nice mix between traditional strategy and FPS.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19actually,
I preordered this because I am leaving to Poland Wednesday and wont have time to pick it up - SSCrow, on 10/10/2007, -1/+16Unreal Engine 3. Of cousre the AI is Unreal.
- tentwentyfour, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14He didn't pirate it, he bought it at Toys R Us after some store put it on the shelves early, because it didn't list any date to put it out, so they started selling it as soon as the stores received it.
- abben, on 10/10/2007, -0/+12I think players of System Shock and Deus Ex aren't surprised, the BioShock team is more or less the same people. Their games always pop up on those "greatest game of all time" lists, just not many people know about them.
- CrankyHippo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+16im starting to feel like people are going to over-hype Bioshock. I have been waiting for this game for a long time and i know its going to be great.
- EntangledPhysx, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13That sounds fun!!!
- AnimalTaglits, on 10/10/2007, -1/+12I played the 360 demo at a friends last nite, WOW! This game is amazing. It's like Half Life 2 cubed + System Shock 2 + Sexy time.
"Grab a crowbar or something" - datdamonfoo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13Wow. Just wow.
- brasso, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11Well, I live in Europe so for me it’s at the very end of this week instead of the beginning of it.
I don’t get it why they just can’t release games at the same time everywhere in the world, its pretty damn tempting to just download the whole thing when there isn’t even a demo, because I know that hours after it’s released in the US and there is going to be pirated copies floating around and I wont even have a chance to buy the game. - muka3d, on 10/10/2007, -3/+13If you want to play it the SECOND it's released, just buy it on Steam! It's cheaper too, and you can download the whole game NOW!
- FetalSage, on 10/10/2007, -1/+10I hope you're joking.
- Qumahlin, on 10/10/2007, -2/+11Um, the story is better then 99.9% of the video games out there....in fact considering how much misinformation you put in your post its almost as if you didn't play the game at all, or that if you did play the game you didn't read a single thing on the screen or in your environment.
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Remind me again why they put these anoying copy protection schemes in our PC games? Oh yeah because of hasshats like you.
- JEWestbrookJR, on 10/10/2007, -0/+9I can not ***** wait for this to hit shelves. Since they first released that confusing ass teaser trailer last winter, this game has been number one to me. I don't understand the people who get so pissed off over the hype. The reason this makes an awesome game is the same reason half-life 2 is an amazing game. They came up with the most unique story/setting you can think of and it's just brilliant. Rapture is about the very best setting for a video game that I have ever seen. I love how people invisioned the future in the late 50's/early 60's, and this game pulls it off stunningly. I loved them demo, and I'm confident the rest of the game will be good. So for now, I eagerly wait for midnight on tuesday, so I can play it on steam, and the next morning so I can pick up my 360 collector's edition at gamestop (that's right, I bought two copies. PC and 360)
- Velirno, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Go back and play either of the Deus Ex games a few times and tell me that they weren't worth every cent. While multiplayer gaming has suddenly become the next-gen thing to do, not all games have to do it to make a good experience. It seems like every time a game has good multiplayer, other facets of that title suffer. We might get multiplay for the sequel, but after playing this game I really don't care if it's there or not. Although I suppose instead of ranting to you about what you said I could just sum it up this way: Don't make asumptions for the rest of the gaming population
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I'm sad that I pre-ordered this on Amazon.
I probably wont receive it until Saturday :( - superal1394, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8The point of Bioshock is to provide amazing and unique gameplay and tell a great story. NOTE THE GREAT STORY. Bioshock is in the vein of games like Half Life 2 who's main point is to tell an incredible story. It is a member of games I like to call Cinematic Games, where gameplay and story come together to make an incredible, engrossing game that sucks you in from when you first hit "start"
- abben, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10im so cool because I think this game is teh craporz. (insert fanboy favorite) is clearly better!
- ShadySpace, on 10/10/2007, -0/+78-to-32 outlets is a large margin.
- Destinatus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7I would buy it and play it if it wasn't out for another 2 days.
- Discobiscuits, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7Just another reply to Digg's AWESOME comment system... -_-
- ReCkLeSsX, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6This is what you call hype. Get used to it.
- lacronicus, on 10/10/2007, -2/+8I thought that title went to half life 2. over 35 game of the years? for me though, no matter what bioshock may bring to the table on story and gameplay, the complete lack of expandability through MP or mods leaves it lacking.
of course, to me, the best game ever can only really be decided a few years after release. we're still playing half life 2 and its offspring 3 years after release, i don't think well be able to say the same for bioshock. - KuJo6784, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9Initials would mean that the title has at least 2 words. This one does not, so you're simply a moron.
- OJXs, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7why do you own all three consoles if you don't play video games....
- rootstyle, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5You could try panhandling, it seemed that guy who wanted Halo made 38$ with his sign by the side of the road, that even made the Digg front page.
- norman619, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Thanks for the heads up!
- tribble222, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6You ask your wife if it's okay to buy a video game? Does she pay for it or something?
- KyleMistry, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5And really good movies get even better ratings! How about that.
- f4nt0m4s, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5i haven't been excited for a PC FPS since half-life 2, i have pretty high hopes that this will scratch my single player niche
hopefully it'll live up to the hype - MagikOvenMit, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7Oh... My... God...
Did you just say that Ocarina of Time is a dumb kiddy game?
You, my friend... Words can't even describe what you are. - jake8689, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I think he means on the pc
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Me too.
I pre-ordered from Toys R Us online, and I got an email 2 days ago from them saying that they're out of stock. Oh well, I'm only waiting it out because I used a giftcard - k3ano, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Sick enough to go reading articles about it and take the time to comment about how sick you are hearing about it?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4you can clean my dogs ***** up for 10 an hour
- Shao00, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Pre loaded and ordered this morning on steam. I freakin' loved the earlier system shock games. Can't wait!!
- DakotaBurns, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I "think" he might be an "old-time" gamer like some of us out there, (workin 60+ hour weeks), and not enough time to get good at some of the rockin titles that have come out over the past couple years. I'm sort-of in that situation ... and this game looks quite cool - I like the cinematic effect to it, and it seems to have a similar game-play experience to Half Life 2. I initially passed up downloading this game when I saw that it was on XBox 360 Marketplace ... didn't seem like a game I'd be interested in - but I was wrong. (Now to convince the wife I need to have this one in addition to Halo 3.)
- Elliuotatar, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4I downloaded Bioshock on Steam in just an hour or two, and it's like 4.5GB. So no the download speeds are not *****. It would take me a day or two to do that over bittorrent.
- SpaceParanoids, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5That depends. Do you slideshows?
- Destinatus, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3It's a good thing you commented in here to inform us of that then, isn't it?
- abben, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3uhhhhh .....what?
- Jeffler, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3...***** (same thing but A64 X2 4200+)
- beernutz, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I bought if from steam and got over 1.8MB/sec (yes MegaBytes) peak, and 1.2 average, so the speed is fine. And yes, obviously you can preload it. No Demo however, which is sad.
