Even with a multiplayer system, it would be extremely boring as much of the game relies on using the environment and your special powers.

It's actually pretty boring. Also, System Shock didn't even sell well, it only sold 170,000 copies, so at this point, I know you are talking out of your ass and am positive you have never played any fps adventure besides metroid prime. I suggest playing Deus Ex, or System Shock to open your eyes. Maybe try a bit of thief.

- dend, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5There is no Multiplayer for this game, a disappointment sure - but this game is just looking awesome, ive been waiting for a killer SP FPS on the PC since hl2. I wouldnt be surprised if they released MP in a patch later on(like FEAR did)

Listened to the 1up Yours Podcast and they already have had final review code for a couple of weeks, so it's quite possible that they have had enough time to do a demo. I'm really curious what happens when you kill the blood-drinking, 7-year-old-girl-looking, demonic 'little sisters.'

I was also at the Chicago Comic Con and played the game. It was marvelous.
Anyway, what I played would make for a perfect demo, so it wouldn't surprise me if this is what they end up releasing tonight (i hope).

- Doom5, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Why would they release a demo? The hype for this game is insane as it is; for a game like this, a demo wouldn't help sales.Hell, it's possible it may even lower them IMO, because on the internet, people nitpick about EVERYTHING.
Almost every time a demo comes out before the retail game does, all I see is people bitching; the only recent exception to this rule seems to be Overlord. However, that is a less conventional game, and didn't have any hype behind it.

I can think of a bunch of games that got great hype from having demos...
Lost Planet, Crackdown, Eternal Sonata, and Stranglehold to name a few. Releasing a demo for a GOOD game does nothing but help it. Tell me some demos that you think were good that other people nitpicked about.
