- truspector, on 10/10/2007, -6/+149I think Bioshock could possibly get a 10 from the Official Playstation Magazine.
- loganhid, on 10/10/2007, -2/+81Gamesradar: 10
Eurogamer: 10
Game Informer: 10
IGN: 9.7
Chuck Norris: 10
Official Xbox Magazine UK: 10
PC Gamer UK: 9.5
PC Zone: 9.6
Gamespy: 10 (5/5)
1UP: 10 - noneuclidean, on 10/10/2007, -7/+71When I heard Game Informer gave it a 10, I shrugged. But a 10 from 1up is serious. Between this and the demo, it looks like I'll actually have to buy this game soon.
- Azimuth1, on 10/10/2007, -2/+46That was the joke...
- chris9902, on 10/10/2007, -3/+32Can we all just use MetaCritic and stop digging every time somebody posts a review.

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/bioshock - mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -2/+31Wow, Chuck Norris endorses this game! Must truly be kick ass!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+28I'm beginning to get excited...Oh, who am I kidding? I've been excited.
- mrASSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -3/+26This is insane: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/xbox360/bioshock
Metacritic score: 99 from 8 reviews. Highest ever. - UberC, on 10/10/2007, -1/+18I still prefer a good single player experience in games.
- SteveThePlank, on 10/10/2007, -6/+23Great, this it's gonna make me depressed when I find out the Campaign of Halo 3 won't be able to touch Bioshock in a million years. :(
- madoc12349, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18There is no Bioshock multiplayer...
So, technically you're right. - gypsi, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18looks like you found the cure for laughter
- UberC, on 10/10/2007, -4/+18The atmosphere in this game is unreal. Played the demo on 360 but definitely going to get the PC version.
- KidVicious, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16I thought he would give it an 11. Only Chuck Norris can go higher than 10.
- goffy59, on 10/10/2007, -1/+14Single player games are the best. Id rather play a good story then listen to idiots on-line yelling noob or gg to each other.
- mike81890, on 10/10/2007, -3/+165 more
- taxman, on 10/10/2007, -1/+13I just pre-ordered mine this morning and i have never pre-ordered any game before.
- tuzziel, on 10/10/2007, -2/+12Downloading it right now from Steam..., good times ahead.
- dillibob, on 10/10/2007, -0/+10he's making a joke guys. he's saying that even though its a xbox 360 only game, the playstation magazine would like it
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -7/+16I don't think I could of said it better myself. 1Up's reviews, like the rest of the site / is are a crock of *****.
- noneuclidean, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10The problem with metacritic is that it assumes all reviewer scales are the same. In reality, EGM and 1up are the only reviewers I know of that use the entire 1-10 scale. A Game Informer "6" means the game is horrible. a 1up 6 means that it's worth playing but not great. The point is that when EGM or 1up gives a game a perfect 10, it is a huge deal.
- chrisgnv, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8I actually heard it's single player is going to be near the 20 hour mark. I have my fingers crossed...
I know I stretch my games out anyways by exploring, and this will be especially true in a game as gorgeously detailed and deep as Bioshock. - ki3ran, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10i recently broke my wrist and I'm now sporting a good size cast. After reading this it dawned on me that the lack of an opposable thumb makes it quite difficult to use a controller or mouse properly. Now the question is presented... hack saw or standard wood blade?
- AydenV2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8Enjoy killing the PC Gaming industry because of your selfish greed.
- patm1987, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8PC, it's $10 cheaper and uses mouse and keyboard. Plus it's theoretically scalable, meaning that it will probably run on your hardware now (check min specs) and when you update it looks better (ie, getting a dx10 card when they're under $99).
I'm hoping for the PC BioShock LE, if I understand the pricing correctly, it will be $59.99 (price for the normal 360 version) and comes with a spiffy figure. - AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -1/+8If you're running Vista, pick it up for PC, Vista will use DX10's full potential, otherwise, unless they're going to allow PC users to make mods for the game, pick it up for 360.
- DogEars, on 10/10/2007, -1/+8I weep because I cannot play this until Tuesday...
- zenpuff, on 10/10/2007, -13/+19"a 10 from 1up is serious"
Ahahahaha. Bully sure is serious, as is The Sims: Unleashed, and Bookworm Deluxe.
Don't forget the 9 Crackdown got. - Sarawanan, on 10/10/2007, -7/+13Game of the Year ....
Confirmed - mrfreeziexp, on 10/10/2007, -6/+12I agree. While those other 10s were nice, it wasn't from anyone I really trusted. 1up, however, I trust a lot. Wow, looks like a game finally lived up to the hype!
- mustbepatient, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Did you play Bookworm Deluxe? It rules its genre, seriously.
- swytz, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10For every new review of it: yes.
- potterboy, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7Lets not forget Gamespot.
- lacronicus, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8While at first I didn't think much of this game, I must admit, these reviews have me intruiged. I am definitely going to play the demo when it comes out for pc.
- modeless, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6It hasn't yet beaten The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Time, which has 22 reviews and still scored 99, which is even more impressive. But BioShock has plenty of time to catch up...
- allahuakbar, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5We get bored at work - we need things to read.
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+7Why even post on Digg?... heck, why even read? What's your logic there?
- RoroCo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+8Just stop with the RROD jokes already. Seriously... Microsoft has addressed it and they are fixing the problem. Move on and find some new material. I suggest mom jokes... those are always timely.
- poptones, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Nigel Tufnel can go there too.
- Cloud7654, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Average: 9.88
That's pretty damned good. - DrMonkeyLove, on 10/10/2007, -1/+5Yeah, seriously. I kept seeing it in PC Gamer and kept thinking, "eh, another shooter. Whatever." Now I'm going to buy it. I'm actually going to upgrade my computer as a result of wanting this game so badly. What? Oh, come on, I need some excuse to upgrade my computer, and Tetris ain't it!
- Dogtanian, on 10/10/2007, -0/+4Red wizard needs psychological evaluation badly!
- frobozz0, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Preloaded this baby today. Can't wait to play it.
- Shaflugi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3I was thinking about getting it for PC, but then I realized the game is practically a movie. You really can't appreciate something as epic as Bioshock without having a steady framerate, which my PC can't handle. :(
- SGagnon, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Why don't you just buy one from Wal-Mart and returning it when yours come back? No need to be 360 less ;-)
- molochi, on 10/10/2007, -0/+3Halo was a stillborn retarded fetus. Halo was the Halo killer.
- artofwar420, on 10/10/2007, -3/+61UP is incredibly critical, (most of the time) so this is huge.
- jun2san, on 10/10/2007, -3/+6which is probably why theyre digging you down too
- Bahimiron, on 10/10/2007, -1/+4I donno.
While I do enjoy using baseball bats to beat up homeless people in Bioshock, I preferred Condemn's use of plasmids to allow me to set up complex ballets of violence.
You are right that the two games are very similar, though.
Oh wait, you're an idiot. -
