Are video games like GTA4 a waste of time?

gtajoy.com — I argue that a game like GTA4 is not bad however the problem is that it is just too good. It's far too easy to waste hours playing an incredible game like this and at the end you feel you get nothing out of it to better your own life. I don't mean to pick on GTA4, perhaps all videogames are like this. Let me know your opinions.
