Analysts endorse 360 price drops

newxwin.net — Yesterday, Microsoft officially confirmed that the long-rumored Xbox 360 price drop first announced in Japan would extend to North American gamers as well. As of September 5, Microsoft's Elite 120GB Xbox 360 SKU will drop $80 to $399, with the 60GB Pro and the hard-drive-less Arcade following in line at respective $100 intervals.

    Online Play............................$50/yr
    Total cost..............................$434
    I know that you can go wired and you don't have to go online. But the some if not most 360 games needs the hard drive.

    One the other side of the fence...........

    PS3.......................................$399 you get................
    80GB HDD, Wifi, Free Online Play, wireless controller, Blu Ray Player. HDD is cheap to upgrade as you do not need a Sony brand HDD and any external HDD can be used with the PS3. PS3 will also work with any blu tooth headset or USB headset and that goes with mouse and keyboard. Option to install Linux as an OS.
