- g000gle, on 10/12/2007, -10/+124No where in this article do they call him a terrorist, so he must be white...
- gab00n, on 10/12/2007, -15/+69Yes, probably a dirty Christian terrorist.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -25/+77Damn Christians.
- TheoDork, on 10/12/2007, -1/+46Maybe all he wanted was a free birthday cupcake and song from the stewardesses.
- sinfree, on 10/12/2007, -1/+42Oddly though, Jesus was middle eastern. ;) I always like to tell that to people who get in the "was Jesus white or black" argument.
- dgh1973, on 10/12/2007, -6/+42He thought he was Jesus, just a guess here but I think he wasn't middle eastern...
- sq377, on 10/12/2007, -2/+28Then I imagine his first stop wouldn't be at an airport telling people it is their time to die?
- masamunecyrus, on 10/12/2007, -11/+30@hatchetkiller:
I was thinking, "damn loonies," myself. - SecretSnack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12what a coincidence. I am also Jesus.

- Xanadude, on 10/12/2007, -1/+13Actually, Jesus is revered in Islam as one of the prophets. When "Jesus of Montreal" played in New York, Muslim protesters picketed the theater in far greater numbers than Christians. So the man could very well be Muslim, though most likely he's just insane.
- masscrazy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Probably wont make the TV, no Muslims involved. Though it will probably be spun some how to make it look like a 'trend' created by Muslims.
- TheGilmanator, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Did you know that Digg doesn't have signatures attached to comments? Lamer.
- Ystig, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9"Actually, Jesus is revered in Islam as one of the prophets."
Use of the word "revered" in this context is potentially deceptive, as it may be taken to imply veneration or attribution of divinity, neither of which Jesus/Isa is granted in Islam. He is a prophet and a man, but no more, and nor is he a martyr. Where Catholics (and to some extent High Anglicans) venerate Saints, Martyrs and Jesus above all, Islam emphatically does not. - 1911wolf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8"He was Jesus. God spoke to him. It was everyone's time,"
If it's not one religion, it's another. - redfox2600, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6And I'm his friend Santa

- EbenieRosa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Woman gets note on plane from Jesus. heh, that would be great.
- superbonbon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I didn't know you could tell someone's religion by their name.
- EminNew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4In response to debate on how Islam sees Jesus:
"Islam holds Jesus (Arabic: عيسى `Īsā) to have been a messenger and a prophet of God and the Messiah (The concept of prophecy in Islam is broader than Judaism and Christianity since Muslims distinguish between "messengers" and "prophets". Unlike prophets, messengers are assured of success. All messengers are prophets but not vice versa) According to the Qur'an, Jesus was one of God's (Arabic Allah) most beloved messengers, a precursor to Muhammad, and was sent to guide the Children of Israel."

Now, why can't you just get along? - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3LOL emo.
- neel360, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Is there a reason why no major news outlet is covering this story? Looks like another WorldNetDaily hoax... full of shady sources and outrageous claims.
- brendanc, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4***** spam, when will you guys get it? YOU GET DUGG DOWN AND YOU DISAPPEAR.
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Don't be absurd. You don't have to be a zombie to be able to respawn.
- livetheride, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Clearly, I am Jesus.
- MasterFunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Man thats ***** weird! These are always the types of articles that make me want to learn about psychology.
- anagoge, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3....
- subterfu9e, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2That would have been an even more attractive title for the article =D
- MadNuke, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4Muslims of the Islam faith believe in the existence of both Jesus and God...
- Corrosionx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I don't want to give anyone any ideas, but would a note with "There's ***** snakes on this ***** plane" written on it be taken seriously?
I mean they'd never see the snakes coming. It would be perfect. - ShitStorm, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"Religions have only accomplished two things in history. Giving leaders justification for murder and crime and making followers to scared to do either" -MickeyK
Thats one of the best quotes I ever heard. - EminNew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I disagree, they made some very nice cathedrals, too.
Religions don't kill, people do. - nuxx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1did anyone else surf around this site at all and find it to be more than a bit conservative???? there was a banner ad asking if Christians need to arm themselves.....that's just a little too creepy for me to be reading this early in the morning.
Hardline Conservatives scare the crap outta me. - catstack, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Uh, I call BS on the parent. There's nothing that Jesus did that could be construed as terrorism. I seem to recall Jesus' thing was "Do onto others as you would have them do onto you". I don't remember him saying that you should kill 6 Roman soldiers today. Quite on the contrary, he told folks "to give onto Caesar that which is Caesar's, and give onto God that which is God's"
- cualcrees, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Just great! Now they wont allow you to take your blood on a plane!
- VolatileWhimsy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This makes me so unreasonably mad that I must now go and kill Muslim leaders and protest in the middle of the streets because you are poking fun at the pope. kkthanx
(this was sarcasm for you lame ducks) - Laibcoms, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1There's an unwritten law that states:
"If you are not an Islamist, you can't be a terrorist."
There is a WRITTEN law that states:
"If you are not an Islamist and you are a member of a terrorist group - they brainwashed or blackmailed you."
The world is really unfair. No, I'm not an Islamist, I'm a Christian, but I don't like how the world acts as if Islam is a demonic religion / faith. Like c'mon... sigh, governments are really... well... - VolatileWhimsy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Steve good try but I advise researching before sprouting garbage.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is that a problem? Really?
- VolatileWhimsy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Probably cause it is only meant to make a false point...
- Hubajube, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Huh. There's a good chance I know who this is. If it's the same guy I knew, he pulled a similar stunt years ago on a flight from DC to Portland. After the plane took off, he took off his underwear and socks and stuffed them in the toilet, because he thought if he kept wearing any clothes he'd bought in DC, the plane would crash. He cut his finger on the lip of the toilet, and when he saw a woman with a broken arm, he squeezed some of the blood out of his finger saying, "You're healed by the blood of Jesus." The strange thing was, he wasn't really religious during his sane times. Some people should never do drugs.
In an aside, the article mentions ex-Maine governor Angus King. I left Maine just as he won the election. During his acceptance speech on one of the local stations, there was a big banner behind him reading ANGUS KING. It took the cameraman a couple of minutes before he realized that King's head was completely blocking that first G... - nicerobot, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4http://digg.com/world_news/Religion_does_more_harm_than_good
- strabes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@sinfree: Jesus was "Middle Eastern," in skin color, Jewish by nationality and religion, but not Arabic. Jesus was descended from Abraham's son Isaac, not Ishmael. Genesis 21.
- kremvax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So is there a better / better known source for this story besides this blog?
Any real news outlets pick this up?
Not that the story is implausable, I'm just kinda skeptical about Single-source stories on blogs with a political slant... -
