No sane minded person says "I'd really like having some sex but I can't seem to get any. Say, I think I'll go rape someone!". Why do people think rapists beat on their victims, that isn't necessary to restrain them.
Rape, murder, right down to manipulative behavior are all caused by the same root problem: power/control issues.
To go off on a bit of a tangent in case it is brought up: date rape drugging is actually extremely rare; this woman did it as obviously it's the conceivable way a woman could. There was a study done in Britain, I believe, where it turns out most girls didn't have any drugs in their system, generally it was that they couldn't believe what they'd done while drunk... so they think they must have been drugged.
