- MrEggsalad, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3That is just crazy. Being arrested for something like that just isn't right, I mean there isn't really a crime there.
- Marino4ka1, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2I agree with you. This arrest is stupid :(
- americaindanger, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1In many places the US is in drought conditions and under mandatory water restrictions. Utah came out of a six year long drought in 2005. This woman was, obviously, placing more importance on things in her life other than wasting water on a lawn. The only reason for idiotic things like this to happen are ridiculous homeowner associations and their precious bylaws that keep their property values up.
With the significant problems going on in the US economy, people don't always have the money to burn on luxuries of watering lawns and such. I've never watered grass in my yard. That's what the rain is for.... - corduroyblack, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1God bless zoning laws.
Or not. - williamdyer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Police that lack enough sense and discretion to not turn a brown lawn into a notorious case of police brutality should be clearly identified in the press so that when they inevitably get fired from any decent PD they can be kept out of other PDs that care about the quality of their staff.
