- 08soso, on 11/08/2009, -0/+1The accusations of socialism come, with or without real economic programs that put people to work. People would rather work for $10 an hour than to be unemployed for months and years as the current system of expanded benefits provides. Being out of work for more than a few months is an extremely debilitating experience and research shows that the longer you are out of work, the more difficult it is to obtain employment. Let's have those jobs in non-profits and states to do what isn't being done because of the economy. The applicants will be coming out of the woodwork, even if they are just "temporary" until this so-called "lagging" indicator catches up.
