"Give me Liberty or give me Death"-Patrick Henry - tajitj, on 07/31/2008, -2/+47Greatest man in America. Most just do not realize it.

www.campaignforliberty.com - YodaJones, on 07/31/2008, -3/+43I don't get why the republicans put McCain on their ticket when they have this guy. I don't get why anybody else is on the ticket, republican or democrat, when we have someone like this available to do the job.
- LonestarRanger, on 07/31/2008, -3/+40The most powerful part of this video is when they describe that Ron Paul is just a dot in the campaign structure, with his supporters generating all of the excitement. Even without a party nomination, his ideas will continue on and I believe that a large number people will still vote for him.
- Acrinimiril, on 07/31/2008, -3/+36P.S.
This is not really about Ron Paul, even though he is one of the major persons in public that is actually standing up and telling people the truth, every American should read the Constitution, it's the Supreme Law of our land and most federal officials take an oath swearing to defend it, but many people don't even realize what it says.
Democrats probably won't be so quick to rush to judgment and will probably actually listen to the message of what is truly going on, but I should have mentioned this for Republicans because it really puts things in perspective with regard to this "crazy guy" Congressman Ron Paul, before Republicans immediately close the video and walk away, watch the very end of the video;
Most Republicans often talk about how great Ronald Reagan was, but what most people don't know is that when Ronald Reagan ran for President in the year of our country's 200th birthday, 1976, Ron Paul was only 1 of 4 Congressmen supporting him.
What shocks Republicans even more is to learn that Ronald Reagan campaigned for Ron Paul.
If in the end, you start investigating and researching the private Federal Reserve bank that controls America's entire money supply in secret and is not accountable to Congress, and central and fractional reserve banking, The Constitution and the Declaration of Independence, the U.N. and globalism, and even the history of the Roman Republic in relation to the United States, I'm afraid you're going to be in for many more shocks, it's truly like waking up out of The Matrix (a popular film).
I hope this information helps you make better decisions in life, ultimately resulting in restoring the freedoms our country is losing. - rugrat54, on 07/31/2008, -2/+30"..and guess what I offer. Freedom. Freedom to lead their own lives as they choose, freedom to spend their money as they choose, freedom to get out from under the heavy hand of the government, freedom from the threat that there's going to be a draft, freedom from the intrusiveness of the federal government coming in with the National ID cards, invasion of our internet, looking at our emails and having searches without warrants. This is what the young people I meet are looking for. And they are not looking for National ID cards, and the young people I meet are not looking for handouts. They just want to be left alone."
!!!!!! - clonestar, on 07/31/2008, -3/+31I am afraid that most people will not listen until they cannot buy a single egg with their life savings or when it is cheaper to burn their paper money rather than use it to buy firewood. You can't create wealth with a printing press. The historically mandated result of a long term credit expansion of fiat money is a collapse of the currency and the institution of a totalitarian regime. They who have eyes, but will not see. They who have ears, but will not hear. They who vote for Obama or McCain, but will not think. I am afraid that theirs is an action born primarily of emotions. They want to believe something is true and that enough votes will make it so. You cannot make 2 + 2 equal to 5 with a ballot box.
- il2k3, on 07/31/2008, -6/+28Obama will give you welfare. Paul will give you freedom.
- elshizzo, on 07/31/2008, -3/+22haven't seen a good Ron Paul video in a while. Dugg!
Oh, and Bob Barr sucks btw. That ex-neocon isn't even 10% of what Ron Paul is. - Innisskillin, on 07/31/2008, -2/+16A society of takers and you wonder what happened....... greed.... individualism... some of you are allright.... others will either wake up or die oblivious.
- carter1955, on 07/31/2008, -0/+13AMERICA If you LOVE your Country and want to KEEP IT !!!!
SUPPORT RON PAUL AND HIS CAMPAIGN FOR LIBERTY !!!!!
A vote or support for McCain or Obama is just the same as supporting GW Bush our
President !!!!! - algaeturd, on 07/31/2008, -2/+15What's happening is that Americans have blindly put their trust into people who haven't the ability to lead or even reason. As a result, here we are, 8 years later with a failed economy, a failed war, on the verge of a depression and a mortgage crisis that is being funded by taxpayer dollars.
That's what happened to America in a nutshell. Thanks for asking. - Acrinimiril, on 08/01/2008, -1/+12We lost our freedoms over many years one step at a time, aside from a bloody revolution, it would be surprising if it did not take just as many years, one step at a time, to back us out of this mess, and completely restore our freedoms and the Constitution.
What you can be assured of though, is that if Ron Paul was elected President, and even in the worst case scenario he was not able to accomplish much in the way of getting rid of any unconstitutional laws and agencies, at least he would put an immediate halt to any more freedoms being taken away.
He's one of the only Congressman that has strictly followed his oath of office and defended the Constitution the entire time he has been in office. That is extremely rare. I have no doubt he would not waiver and would stand strong as President, just as he has during his entire life in public service. - inactive, on 07/31/2008, -2/+13Whats not happening in America worries me,
"I'm just too busy to think about it"
Maybe some of you know him?
It could be now or never and things ain't lookin to good right now - Stryder81, on 07/31/2008, -0/+11http://www.gadgetsonthego.net/pics/ronpaul.jpg
-=D - XanderDee, on 08/01/2008, -0/+11America has the best constitution in the world to bad the politicians don't follow it, if they did America would be great again.
- kaelyiesta, on 07/31/2008, -3/+12Obama will also give you FISA amendments that suck. :(
- inactive, on 08/01/2008, -1/+10Where are the tinfoil hat comments? Guess 'they' haven't arrived yet... probably too busy watching americant idol or faux news.
My first choice was Paul, then Kucinich.. now I'm back to Paul again. People really need to listen to this man and do the damn research. Spread the word about him. Show people the research to back his claims up. It sounds crazy to people who haven't looked into it but becomes alarmingly clear to them with very little guidance. People wonder why his supporters are so passionate... I'll tell you why, he's one of the ONLY politicians that speaks the truth and has a track-record to prove it. - inactive, on 07/31/2008, -3/+12"Give me Ron Paul or give me Dennis Kucinich for President"-Tayler Plimpton
- rugrat54, on 07/31/2008, -1/+10First, we are getting people who believe in the Constitution to run for office in local areas as well as congressional areas. I believe he would be able to accomplish a lot in office despite opposition.
And none of us know a third party wont be elected; but it is also not all about getting him elected. It is about standing up for your principles when the cards are stacked against you.
Second, I am sorry but I dont think Obama is better than McCain. They are both pretty low on my list. - stealthc, on 08/01/2008, -0/+8If the next decade goes like I think it's going to, I sincerely hope the history books remember Ron Paul as the one who saw it all coming, even if no one listened.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-IlfhYVZrE0 - Acrinimiril, on 07/31/2008, -0/+7During his four years in Congress, Obama's only legislative accomplishment was one law, and it was for the Democratic Republic of Congo, back in 2006. One law, benefiting another nation, with our money.
That shows that people are supporting him merely because they are attracted to him, and the words he is saying, not for what matters, which are his actions and the way he officially conducts himself.
Obama spent more taxpayer money on trips in his first term than any other senator.
He's also saying he wants to get out of Iraq, but his actions were that he voted to not end the Iraq war, to continue financing the war, to send more troops to Afghanistan, and to further expand the military when we are already maintaining bases in 130 of 190 countries.
What does this show? What he is saying does not match with how he has voted. His words may be popular and he is definitely a good speaker, but in the end, words are cheap - people have always told others what they want to hear in order to get what they want.
Ron Paul is an exception to that, he tells people the truth, no matter how little people want to hear it, and no matter how unpopular it makes him. And he has done the same with his votes for decades in Congress, consistently voting in defense of the Constitution. - Acrinimiril, on 07/31/2008, -1/+8We lost our freedoms over many years, one step at a time, aside from a bloody revolution, it would be surprising if it did not take many years and just as many steps to back us back out of this mess one step at a time, and completely restore our freedoms the the Constitution.

The man speaks his mind and has common sense. He respects the constitution and knows that the framers meant for it to be applied to modern times, not ignored. He sticks to his beliefs and doesn't give in, he often goes against what everyone is doing, but never against the constitution. And do you know what? He is often right. Most politicians don't realize that like our money, the constitution is just as worthless as the "paper" it's printed on, unless you are willing to back it up, or in this case follow it.

And on top of that, people continue to vote for mccain like he's a great choice... The people of this country should be ashamed. I've never seen a poorer choice for president than mccain .................and obama, while he looks good in comparison, isn't helping the country out of this mess we're in.

- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -0/+4When you vote for the lesser of two evils, evil still wins.
- kemp34, on 08/01/2008, -0/+4I was thinking the same thing.
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -0/+4Maybe the brigadiers got tired. Maybe they're switching tactics. Maybe they're working other threads. I admit, it's a little strange when they're gone.
- Hortnon, on 08/02/2008, -1/+4So you don't think people should know what they're talking about before embarrassing themselves?
- stealthc, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3Do you think the country's ready for a coup yet?
- Sk00L, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3lol i hate to say it but i think people are really blind to Obama and what in fact would really happen under an Obama presidency. Fact is Bush in his first term run told everyone just what they wanted to hear just like BHO is doing now. Yet every time i try to look past the snazzy marketing and packaging and look for the ingredients behind all that hope and change being sold the ingredients are never listed on the package. Worse off when I as pointed questions of his supporters not a single one knows enough to hold an intelligent conversation about him and his positions. All the research i have done on his stance and plan yield some pretty weak even scary sounding ideas many of which would hurt America as much or more then this horrible war we are in now. In the end these two party nominees may be the worst offered up in American history. overall whoever wins will be the runner up against Bush for the worst president in our nations history.
- mystcnurse, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3I don't know ANYBODY who voted for McCain. Not one single soul. But he won in my state. Go figure.
- Acrinimiril, on 07/31/2008, -1/+4His stance would probably be that nobody owns your life but you, certainly not the government. And therefore, you have the right to take Viagra as much as you need.
He would probably also say that federal government should not even be involved in funding of drugs or forcing people to take them, while at the same time, throwing people in prison for deciding to take others.
He has said before that drug laws should be state issues so that the states can competitively and representatively determine what works well for their own residents.
The main thing is that we should not have this massive disconnected federal government telling everyone what they must do, punishing anyone that disagrees, and taxing the hell out of everyone to accomplish it. - Sk00L, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3yeah I must live completely in some crazy fringe fold of society without exposure to any McCain supporters as well. I don't know anybody who voted for him either and every single person who i exposed to Ron Paul voted for him who were republicans. i even had friends switch parties to vote for him yet McCain won in my state as well. I think Hangly is right when he mentions Diebold I am still trying to figure out what really happened with that, considering all the support I saw from Ron Paul supporters.
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3Clearly you need to make friends with more Diebold machines. Next time you go to the bank try chatting up the ATM.
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3Soon, soon. Not quite :P
- kemp34, on 08/01/2008, -0/+3It must be fun to be the most inane clown on digg!
- inactive, on 08/02/2008, -3/+5He's a Ronbot. Knowing what he's talking about isn't high on his agenda.
- stealthc, on 08/01/2008, -1/+3It's also another word for being left alone.
- Hangly, on 08/01/2008, -0/+1Bob Barr might be trying to play us, but we can play the system right back.
I've thought long and hard about this, and I think we should vote Libertarian this year. Not for Barr, who won't win anyway, but for the LP. If we get a decent enough percent in 2008 we can qualify for matching funds in 2012. then in 2012 we need to make damn sure a real Libertarian is the candidate. -
