Warning Extreme Violence: Bosnias "finest" in action

youtube.com — Three Bosnian police officers film themselves taking turns viciously beating a young man. Among other things they make him get under their service SUV and threaten to run him over and later make him strip naked. Help spread the word around to end violence like this.

  • Heckler078, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Apparently somebody stole a bulletproof vest from the cops private car. The kid is a junkie who they thought was responsible. They keep asking him where the vest is and he keeps crying that he doesn't know anything about it. They tell him to get under the wheel of the SUV and tell him they will run him over if he doesn't talk. Then for some odd reason they make him strip.

    Anyhow this thing was all over the TV and newspapers today. The three cops were arrested and charged. They are facing maximum of 10 years in prison if convicted.

  • virtualscribe, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Posting on digg may or may not stop violence on any scale ... but it brings awareness. Some diggers complain about stories that have made it to the front page a few times, but sharing with others brings an awareness to new people who don't read everyday or every week, which is a great first step. With so much reality TV type media fighting for attention, simple awareness is a very valuable first step. Digg makes us aware of what's going on; it's up to us to do something about it if we feel it's important to us.

Now, all the EU money goes to projects like building massive bridges in Spain. While the money would have a much better goal in countries like Bosnia and Serbia.

It's great how digg can take an image from the video sites but can't check for messages like "this video has been removed" or allow users to bury for a useful reason like "digg affected" or "removed" so a mirror link could be automatically provided.
