- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -12/+70Worst. President. Ever.
- JuliaXV, on 11/22/2008, -25/+83He is and will be persona non grata wherever he goes.
No need to put WAR CRIMINAL in quotes. Shout it from the housetops. - JoshuaGross, on 11/22/2008, -37/+82Come, now. I'm no fan of Bush or the war (to say the least) but to pin the economic crisis on him is... stupid. Really stupid.
- swrostmore, on 11/22/2008, -3/+46I haven't made up my mind one way or the other, but don't you think adding 3 trillion dollars in debt (the projected cost of the war) to the world credit market would have some effect?
- jojopumpkin, on 11/22/2008, -7/+50Yet there is no mention of this in the MSM.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YeEsIm-V1ZA - Naieve, on 11/22/2008, -10/+49By using Bush as the sole scapegoat and vocally protecting Congress who actually have more responsibility for everything, they have proven they are... stupid. Really stupid.
- SheilaNoya, on 11/22/2008, -0/+28Me006 -
Iraq had NOTHING to do with 9/11. Are you one of those gullible bozos who thinks Saddam Hussein attacked us? - rivalius13, on 11/22/2008, -10/+37He also kills kittens.
- MarkusDee, on 11/22/2008, -2/+28One thing is for sure, Bush is leaving the world, and his country, is worse shape than when he got it.
- DubYaSee, on 11/22/2008, -16/+38The characterization of Bush as a war criminal in the title is spot on. By any standard, he is guilty of crimes against humanity and for waging wars of aggression. It is hugely embarrassing to acknowledge that some Americans (who happen to watch Fox News) still believe Bush attacked Iraq because of Saddam's involvement in the attack of 9/11.
- thepoliticalcat, on 11/22/2008, -6/+26No, that would be YOU. Foockin' eejit.
- patpl22391, on 11/22/2008, -5/+21It's a shame 66% of the country supported it, and our politicians voted for it.
- swrostmore, on 11/22/2008, -0/+15I believe that is video from the 2004 RNC by I-Witness Video Collective.
Videos like this resulted in hundreds of wrongfully accused activists having their charges dropped, and was used as evidence in a successful multi-million dollar police misconduct lawsuit. - JasonCox, on 11/22/2008, -3/+18No no no, you're confusing Bush with Cheney.
- TrevorBelmont, on 11/22/2008, -2/+17You should write all that on a sandwich board and wander your town yelling that "THE END IS NIGH!!!"
- Tenlow, on 11/22/2008, -1/+16What is a moonbat and why are they liberal?
- edzilla, on 11/22/2008, -1/+15JimmySpaza: and exactly what "good" came out of the irak invasion?
- ciaran036, on 11/22/2008, -2/+16We see the big picture quite clearly. A million dead in Iraq. What more do we need to know?
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -3/+16Cute buzz words, did you learn them from the deaf man?
- jazino, on 11/22/2008, -2/+15You are an idiot.
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -3/+15Send in the Peruvian pan flute bands!
- SteelProboscis, on 11/22/2008, -4/+15While I am certainly no fan of Bush, I agree with rivalius13; the war in Iraq was and continues to be extremely costly, but we all seem to be forgetting that the congress allowed Bush to wage it. If they had tried to add some logic and reason to the decision to go to war, instead of going along with it so they didn't seem like wimps, maybe we wouldn't be in this situation...
Some of the reasons that Peru and the rest of the Americas gets to share in the economic crisis are the economic policies enacted by Clinton AND Bush. The dems had just as much stake in the corporations that wrote these laws, thus did nothing to stop them.
I did vote for Obama, but am not very hopeful that any real change will happen. I fear that it will be business as usual (pardon my cliche); the main difference will be that a new group of special interests will be served, and the current disdain for working people will continue as it has for the last 30 + years. - TheUnlearn, on 11/22/2008, -2/+13by using the phrases like "Dopey liberal moonbats" you make everyone with a credible argument look bad. please stop.
- swrostmore, on 11/22/2008, -15/+26It is a shame 100% of the country and our politicians were lied to about WMDs and Saddam being responsible for 9/11...not to mention being lied to about the cost.
- zenvok, on 11/22/2008, -3/+14More BS from a fascist pig. I would love to see you grow up as a kid in the ghetto, and then talk about 'Obamunism'.. And I must add, I'm sure an extra 2000$ of taxes per year on your salary would make you feel good about sharing your wealth and opportunity with the needy. 'Enough said, give a little to charity you jerk.
- superkendall, on 11/22/2008, -9/+19Come on, it's the actions of Democrats AND Republicans over regulating the financial industry that has lead to problems all over.
The fact that the rest of the world is so impacted by U.S. financial industry actions shows that the U.S. economy is a lot more powerful than most people (here at least) seem to think. That's why it's not good to have the least capable organization ever devised (government) trying to run it... - FairDinkumMate, on 11/22/2008, -1/+11Wasn't it US banks & corporations that bundled sub-prime mortgages & sold them to THE WORLD as AAA+ rated securities?
- SissySlapParty, on 11/23/2008, -0/+10These protesters aren't American, and this situation didn't happen within your country.
Attaching your stupid ***** buzzwords in response to this article is non-sensical.
They aren't caught up in your two-party blame game joke of a political system.
Shut the ***** up. - rivalius13, on 11/22/2008, -1/+11She kills turkeys.
- inactive, on 11/22/2008, -12/+22Listening to W. today, he still seems to think he's great, pats himself on the back a bunch of times. Oh I almost forgot, the melt- down is Obama's fault! Rush called the White House already to let them know...
- mllawso, on 11/22/2008, -1/+11from helicopters
- fluoro, on 11/22/2008, -2/+11Well, if our (the US) banking system were not on the verge of collapse would there be a world economic crisis right now? It seems the world economic crisis began here with the major financial institutions in the US, partly due to banking industry deregulation.
- hurrayforschool, on 11/22/2008, -2/+11In. Your. Lifetime.
- SheilaNoya, on 11/22/2008, -3/+12Not so sure about kittens, but his bombing raids in Iraq did THIS:
http://images.salon.com/news/feature/2005/08/23/ir ... - JohnFlux, on 11/22/2008, -0/+9> I voted for Bush back in 04, and i was always taught to stick with your pick
Wow, that's the stupidest thing I've heard in a long time.
You should always re-evaluate your choices as new evidence comes to light, continually reassessing your position. Ignoring everything that goes on around you and sticking to a position no matter what is being a fundamentalist. - jakem1, on 11/23/2008, -0/+9Why attack "American interests" when you can have a pop at the real thing in Iraq or Afghanistan.
Lets see what the Bush Doctrine has got you:
- two illegal wars
- hundreds of thousands of civilians killed.
- dramatic loss of respect for the US and Americans by the rest of the world
- subsequent loss of power and influence for the US worldwide
- the UN undermined and chastened
- democracy is now a dirty word around the world
- climate change is increasing worldwide
- global recession
- the English language has been abused in the most unimaginable ways
Now who's too stupid to connect the dots. - ChayD, on 11/23/2008, -0/+8Okay, almost all of your comments made mention 'dopey' and 'liberals'. You clearly have nothing intelligent to contribute other than repeating the same crap like a demented parrot. Please do Digg a favor; disconnect your internet, switch your computer off and go and learn something about the world.
Note: I have nothing against righties who are capable of intelligent debate and who can actually argue their case like adults, but sneering like an adolescent who thinks they know it all just grinds my gears (especially seeing as you're 33 for heaven's sake. Unless you made that up and you *are* an adolescent, in which case "Get off the Internet and do your homework!"). - inactive, on 11/22/2008, -5/+13When a major superpower of the world ***** up, the other countries follow... especially when they have so much invested.
- Merp08, on 11/22/2008, -4/+12Are you high?
- PunkRampant, on 11/22/2008, -2/+10Bill Clinton is more responsible than Bush for this crisis. He along with democrats in Congress strongly urged banks to provide subprime loans.
Don't get me wrong, though, the repercussions of Bush will hit us in a few years when we have to pay back the trillions used to fight in Iraq. - spongya77, on 11/22/2008, -2/+10Funny. I must be a genius, then. I knew there were no WMDs, knew there were no bin Laden connections (cuz a secular muslim dictator is more repulsive for a fundamentalist, than a Jewish banker), and knew there'll be a civil war... Should have asked me, then.
(I might not be a genius, after all. I might have the basic knowledge about the region, and some common sense. Too bad the guys in Mossad, CIA, Pentagon, and the others didn't. Or maybe did. But the "we were lied to" excuse is *****.) - SteelProboscis, on 11/22/2008, -2/+10Andrew Jackson did great things for the expansion of killing Native Americans. If we are going by causing the most deaths, the trophy should go to him.
- jakem1, on 11/23/2008, -1/+8What sort of person would digg SheilaNoya down for that? I know that you're not accustomed to seeing those sorts of images on Fox News but to deny that innocent civilians (including babies) are being killed in their hundreds of thousands by US forces is ridiculous.
- wunksta, on 11/22/2008, -2/+9@"They call it the BUSINESS CYCLE for a very good reason. There are cycles of expansion and contraction. This is just another contraction. "

@"The problems facing Detroit auto manufacturers were thrust upon them by the UAW with their union rules and exorbitant demands. To save Detroit, one would need to dissolve the UAW."
not really, unions have helped us throughout the years and the reason for the automakers collapse is not directly related to that. these companies have been consistently inefficient and badly managed and when the going gets tough....
"The fault for Detroit’s relatively high labour costs ultimately lies with the managements of these companies, or to be more exact the former managements, for taking on liabilities that they could not afford."

@"The Fannie Mae crisis is again the fault of the DEMS. They demanded that the banks lend more to minorities - whether or not they could pay for mortgages"
you are referring to the CRA, which actually had less banks default than others. it would be easy to blame this on poor lendees, but the truth of the matter is that its a lot more complex and involved than that

and tinfoil, cant run out of that! - bjornski, on 11/23/2008, -0/+6@Me006
Hey moron, read this.
"This is the fourth article in the series by Madeleine Gruen and Frank Hyland on the threat of terrorism in the United States. In this article we lay out the history of plots and attacks that have taken place in the US since 9-11 in order to respond to the widespread misconception that there have been no terrorist attacks on US soil since that date."
http://counterterrorismblog.org/2008/08/no_attack_ ... - tHeSiD, on 11/22/2008, -1/+7im so glad bush is out
- tehbmwman, on 11/22/2008, -2/+8...which would veto the entire budget bill and result in nothing getting done while there was a gridlock between the president and congress. Line-item veto is unconstitutional, unfortunately.
House controls the purse-strings. You can blame the House GOP for the debt, not Bush. He is just the typical target now. Something wrong? Must be Bush's fault. No thought put into it.
Really this whole thing starts with how both parties irresponsibly dealt with Fannie and Freddie. I don't think you can pin the blame on even one institution (government/banks/Wall Street) let alone one party or person. - JoshuaGross, on 11/22/2008, -6/+12I'm not a fan of the debt either, I don't think 3 trillion of debt is a good thing. But it did NOT cause the economic crisis. It might cause problems 5-10-15 years down the road, I don't know. But the subprime mortgage crisis, housing crisis, liquidity crisis, that was not affected by the war debt so far as I can tell.
