- Diggnabbit, on 01/16/2009, -1/+23Live?
- Moisgreat, on 01/16/2009, -2/+23Those Goddamn Canadian geese think they can come into our country, hang around our shopping mall ponds, and then take down one of our planes, I think not. This is an act of war.
- robertj15, on 01/16/2009, -1/+21Good thing the video loads super fast.
- Eat1, on 01/15/2009, -2/+20Wow. It floats.
- ofenza, on 01/16/2009, -1/+18Is there a video of the actual water landing?
- Biscuitz, on 01/16/2009, -1/+16Does anyone have a better video link? It just doesn't want to load for me.
Side note: I bet those people will never want to get on a plane again =(. I know I wouldn't want to after something like that. - JerzyBricklayr, on 01/16/2009, -1/+15Looks like msnbc cant handle the Digg effect.
- Lucas123, on 01/15/2009, -3/+17Freakin Canada geese.
- hypocriticizer, on 01/16/2009, -0/+13It's 2009 and MSN still fails in providing decent buffer support.
- DirtPile, on 01/16/2009, -0/+13Video is busted.
- phore, on 01/16/2009, -2/+14"I have reason to believe they were muslim extremist birds who hate our freedom." - Fox
- Newswiseguy, on 01/15/2009, -4/+15police boats are holding the plane up by the wings to keep it from sinking further.
- theysayjump, on 01/16/2009, -0/+11***** it, we'll do it.
- perryc, on 01/15/2009, -3/+14That's just terrible.
- WafflePirate, on 01/16/2009, -1/+11No.
- silverspyder, on 01/16/2009, -1/+11ABC video coverage
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090115/ap_on_re_us/pl ... - AmyVernon, on 01/16/2009, -2/+11I know! They crap everywhere and now they're taking down planes.
- 2of8, on 01/16/2009, -0/+9That's exactly what I came to see. When it says "Watch live airline crash" - I expect to see the plane crashing, not the rescue efforts.
- Xoron, on 01/16/2009, -4/+12So that's how the Canadian's want to play it eh?
I see how this new terrorist threat works: take planes down, one flock of geese at a time. - GawtMilk, on 01/16/2009, -1/+9WATCH LIVE: MSNBC Website Crash on Internet
- 0260, on 01/16/2009, -1/+8Pilot deserves a medal for his balls
- Resistoon, on 01/16/2009, -1/+8While the pilots did a great job, so say the passengers, I bet all those passengers will still sue.
- haikuFU, on 01/16/2009, -0/+7The odds of being in a second plane crash after you've already been in one is *exactly* the same as if you were not in one at all.
In a scenario like this, prior events do not affect future outcomes. Therefore, if you get on another plane, you have the same chance of crashing again. - DaviDTC, on 01/16/2009, -3/+10***** is it happening again?
- linagee, on 01/16/2009, -0/+7Every person watching the movie causes a new plane to crash. Stop visiting the site!
- iMiXiMi, on 01/16/2009, -1/+8They need to get their ***** together over there at msnbc, this video is slow as balls.
- Heywoodj, on 01/16/2009, -0/+7I would. What are the odds of being in two plane crashes?
You're pre-disastered therefore good to go. - inactive, on 01/16/2009, -3/+9Let's send a flock of bald eagles up there to show them what's what.
- JazzCatDRP, on 01/16/2009, -0/+6MSNBC's servers are doing their best impression of that plane.
- SKKnuckles, on 01/16/2009, -2/+8What a Top pilot , water ditching is far from easy and he managed to keep the fuselage intact saving many lives, its good to know we have guys like these that are flying our planes
- pygmy, on 01/16/2009, -0/+6BUFFERING
- Tomholius, on 01/16/2009, -0/+5Its a terrible thing when websites go down. Gives me nightmares.
- pygmy, on 01/16/2009, -0/+5BUFFERING
- inactive, on 01/16/2009, -1/+6***** i was going to watch that.
Oh well, I'm sure they'll be replying it over and over until the next episode... - inactive, on 01/16/2009, -0/+5I stole one before, put it on and inflated it at the bottom of a pool. Trust me, they are very useful.
- RennyB, on 01/16/2009, -0/+5Independent events dude. Chances of being in two airplane crashes, very low. Chances of being in another crash after your first, the same as every one else. Stay away from Vegas :) .
- p1eiades, on 01/16/2009, -1/+5This isn't live.
- AmyVernon, on 01/16/2009, -3/+7absolutely - from what I've heard (live in the NY metro area), the pilot was responsible for the fact that no one died.
- guyincognitoo, on 01/16/2009, -0/+4Why? How is it the airlines fault? Knowing that I was still alive after what could have been is more then enough for me.
- Rekzai, on 01/16/2009, -0/+4Canadian**
- froston, on 01/16/2009, -1/+5any cool footage of this thing hitting the water??!!
youtube or it didn't happen - redcard, on 01/16/2009, -0/+4I was in a horrific accident caused by a semi truck.
Those commercials you see with the people talking about how they sued for $xxx,000,000 and are now living it up? Yeah, those are all "dramatizations." See, they don't really have to tell you that. They can even say "real client" on the TV even though the "client" is really a client of the Ad Agency.
See, the truth is, unless you die, you're not going to get much from a trial, especially when it's no fault of the pilots, the companies, or anyone. And juries aren't liable to give out big pay days, either. Even then, many state supreme courts are so pro business that most major verdicts you hear about on page 1 are silently tossed on page 39 two years later.
So, people may sue. But they won't win. - mithrasinvictus, on 01/16/2009, -0/+4Since the submission title says "WATCH LIVE", maybe they are standing by until another one crashes?
- guyincognitoo, on 01/16/2009, -0/+4At the time of the crash it was 21 degrees outside, the water temperature in the Hudson was 32.5 degrees and winds were blowing at 15 mph.
After only three minutes in cold water, people can lose the use of their arms and legs.
