- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -4/+84Coverup? Arab media was reporting Bhutto was shot practically as soon as it happened.
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -2/+61Forget the crappy blog:
http://www.channel4.com/news/articles/politics/int ... - thehawk23, on 12/31/2007, -8/+55This reads like a bad spy novel. Musharraf has blood on his hands, and the whole world can see it now.
- Rotzooi, on 12/31/2007, -7/+35I can not for the life of me see the name Musharraf and not think of Jon Stewart offering him tea with a Twinkie. I mean, the guy performed a military coup, and I know he has blood on his hands, but he was so charming and quick witted and ...I'm sorry.
- Neiby, on 12/31/2007, -7/+27I doubt it was extremists that killed her. My money is on Musharraf.
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -1/+20There were 3 shots followed by an explosion - besides it doesn't matter if there were 3 or 4 shots - who cares - one of them caught her squarely in the neck or head and as it passed through the expanded bullet lifted her hair and shawl - just like you would expect and she fell inside the car - just like you would expect from a neurological trauma wound such as severing the spinal chord or a shot to the head! She was NOT ducking - the fall was instantaneous with the bullet strike - a person cannot react that fast to a loud noise and then duck - that takes at least a second or two to process in the brain that you are in danger and take action.
- BillDoE, on 12/31/2007, -3/+19Because if she died hitting her head on a door knob they can't call her a martyr.
- jaybirdKDX, on 12/31/2007, -2/+17The reason that it is such a big deal about how she died is that if she was murdered by either gun or the bomb blast then she would be considered a martyr in the Muslim world. Pakistan stating that she was killed by "bumping" her head makes her out to be a silly woman who died from being clumsy.
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -1/+15What are they retarded?
The Pakistani government released this video, showing a close up of the shooter:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hyMNJ6d9ZBQ
The guy creeped up behind her, shot her, then blew himself up. - bashar129, on 12/31/2007, -0/+14http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?vide ...
http://www.thedailyshow.com/video/index.jhtml?vide ...
In the videos though it says September 26, 2006....Was it really in '06? damn time flies. - Malarie, on 12/31/2007, -2/+14They really take the population for stupid dumb asses... How the ***** can you DIE if your head hits the roof top of a truck after a 2 feet fall. HOW CAN YOU EFFING DIE OF THAT???? Its does not take a rocket scientist to figure this out.
I am sorry for the harsh words, I am just so sick of corruption in governments. - jaymzdean, on 12/31/2007, -0/+12Because Musharraf's spokesman held a press conference and told the world that she died when she bumped her head on the sunroof. So Musharraf is lying for some reason. To ask why is ridiculous?
- nomadxx7, on 12/31/2007, -3/+14If you freeze the video at 2:10 you will notice 2 men standing in dark jackets (back towards camera). Above the guy's head (left most guy in dark jacket) is the guy in sunglasses (gunman). Between the two jackets you'll see the man's hand holding onto a pistol and a sec later the recoil as the gun is fired. Definitive proof she was shot point blank in the back of the head.
- krnldmp, on 12/31/2007, -0/+10Ok Great. Everybody knows Bhutto was shot. Who contracted the shooter?
- da_bradler, on 12/31/2007, -0/+9imagine if the american government had insisted that JFK had died from a stub toe not a bullet, don't you think people would people a little pissed off?
- localzuk, on 12/31/2007, -1/+10Creating a martyr would create a period of unrest in the country (which has happened), would allow the postponing of elections and would allow, if it went on for long enough, for emergency rule (ie. military rule) to be enforced again.
- stellarceltic, on 12/31/2007, -1/+10read the news. first she was killed by a bomb. then she was shot. now she bumped her head on a sunroof latch and died.
the government didn't allow the doctor's to perform an autopsy. sounds like a cover-up to me. - nomadxx7, on 12/31/2007, -3/+11Yeah but other major MSM sites and papers reported that the coroner found no bullets, scrapnel etc. It was the explosion that killed her. If major governments are saying things that video proves otherwise (and they have the "advanced" technology) to eavesdrop and know Al Quada did it, why are they wrong in the way she died?
- source1984, on 12/31/2007, -1/+9You people are idiots who know nothing about Pakistani politics. He performed a bloodless military coup and actually bought Pakistan some progress, took it away from the incompetent and corrupt Nawaz Sharif. Bhutto, may God rest her soul, wasn't the best leader either -- she was prime minister twice and did nothing. Musharaff specifically told her not to campaign at that location but she did anyway.
- cmost, on 12/31/2007, -1/+9"no one/ no group will ever be able to get away with something like that ever again."
Exactly how do you figure? Where is Osama Bin Ladin? Where is the person or party responsible for the Anthrax killings? Our government has vast resources. We've spent billions upon billions of dollars supposedly beefing up our homeland security and what have we to show for it? There have been three mass shootings in the United States in the past four weeks alone. Where is all this extra security? I'll tell you. It's a myth. Security is an ILLUSION. Let me repeat. Security is an illusion. Nobody is ever truly secure in this world. Anyone, at any time can perpetrate any henious crime. While it's easy to sit around and play Monday morning quarterback, these things cannot be prevented without total loss of freedoms. And even then, they can't be prevented. Now please get your head out of your ass. - Homerr, on 12/31/2007, -1/+8Did anyone else find it odd that the assassination site was hosed down within the hour, and that she was buried something like 30 hours after being killed? She's a twice former PM of Pakistan - wouldn't there be more of a funeral? It's almost like someone couldn't make her go away fast enough.
- chicagodigger, on 12/31/2007, -1/+8I am saddened by that thought process...and by the fact that it is a pretty good indication of our actual foreign policy. Its time for non-interventionism, because clearly being the world police is doing nothing but harm to our own country.
- dmCraz, on 12/31/2007, -2/+8She meant to say Daniel Pearl. Do some research.
- fatbert, on 12/31/2007, -1/+7You know who else was charming and quick-witted? That's right...
- dmCraz, on 12/31/2007, -1/+7How does this point to US involvement? Pakistanis can't figure out how to operate bombs and guns on their own?
- nospinhere, on 12/31/2007, -0/+5What I don't get is what purpose would a cover up accomplish? Gun shots,, explosions, or both she got assassinated. That doesn't change. Deliberately lying on how she got assassinated accomplishes nothing for either side.
- babakshirazi, on 12/31/2007, -7/+12Where's the coverup? I heard on radio that she was shot as soon as it happened. They said she was shot and then a suicide bomber blew himself up.
- theskyman, on 12/31/2007, -0/+5Contradiction and Government are one in the same.
- Unit134679, on 12/31/2007, -0/+5Ir-*****-relevant
- williamdyer, on 12/31/2007, -1/+6They did and they have.
- ryanonfire, on 12/31/2007, -0/+5link?
- da_bradler, on 12/31/2007, -1/+6I still don't understand what the hell the pakistan government is trying to do, I mean they might as well have said she died from a stub toe.
- jsqurred, on 12/31/2007, -0/+4I agree. But then again, Hitler advocated animal rights and Joseph Stalin was seen as a friendly moderate. Leaders should not be judged solely by their outward personalities.
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -2/+6John Negroponte was prominent during Ms Bhutto's return to Pakistan from forced retirement abroad, he is widely thought to be the prime mover in the terrible CIA funded and backed bombing campaign that is attempting to drive a wedge between the Shia and Sunni communities in Iraq.
So should not his, and America's, and the CIA's hand be suspect in this outrage. Keep in mind the so called 'smoking gun' evidence by which the US went to war against Afghanistan was the $100,000 wired to Mohammed Attar the alleged 911 hijacker. The stooge who sent the money got it from the head of ISI, Pakistan's security service who received it from the CIA.
Many are comparing this murder to the 1963 killing of President john F Kennedy, recalling the futility of that investigation… Yet the JFK murder is indeed solvable.
Arlen Specter holds the key to the Kennedy assassination file, there is no reason at all why he should not charged as complicit, then his testimony should reveal what else happened and who else was involved… Similarly BB’s death should be seen as part of the same CIA Mossad trouble making false flag op factory, that is bombing Iraq and Afghanistan with car bombs and suicide bombs, when it is widely known, witnessed by the testimony of the former President and Prime Minister of Italy, who says everybody knows 911 was a CIA and Mossad op.
Blockbuster Video’s… Evidence of Revision 1-5… They were compiled from thousands of television news tapes, and detail neglected or ignored evidence on matters including the deaths of John and Robert Kennedy, respectively President of The United States, and United States Senator. Including evidence from the Los Angeles coroner that the shots that killed Robert Kennedy, were fired from a distance of between one and three inches into his head from behind and below his right ear, Sirhan Sirhan who was convicted for the killing was several feet to his front. The film has footage of the LA DA simply brushing that aside.
President Kennedy was about to reduce the Vietnam commitment when he was murdered… his body was hardly cold when Johnson who succeeded him as president announced he was sending more troops… This video series dumps a bucket on Johnson …it says he was up to his ears in it. It series has taped testimony from a Deputy Sheriff in Dallas, who was one of the first into the Texas School Book depository after John Kennedy was shot… He witnessed the recovery of a rifle identified as a 7.65mm German Mauser.
The news arrived here early Saturday, by Monday morning school scuttlebutt was adamant that his driver had shot him… The first item on the school’s agenda that morning was that no discussion of the crime would be allowed during class, and by noon of that day the weapon first stated to be a German Mauser had become a 6.65mm Italian Mannlicher Carcano.
Senator Arlen Specter signed the Warren Report, the official Kennedy assassination document… He should be hauled before a court of capital jurisdiction, and be required to explain why he neglected this and mountains of similar evidence… Like the photo taken moments after the first shot, with the startled birds in flight, with alleged assassin Lee Harvey Oswald standing at the doorway of the TSBD. - nomadxx7, on 12/31/2007, -1/+5That's the point. When there are signs that things were on the up and up people wonder. People wonder about our (US) government because of inconsistencies. Why didn't they do an autopsy? Why did security leave their post? Why did the government say that it was the explosion only (when from this video it shows her being shot)? In a murder case people are exhumed all the time to find out what really happened. Right now governments and MSM is saying one story, other are saying another. Who is right? I tend to lean towards finding out the truth instead of having governments tell me in their infinite wisdom that it was Al-Q that shot her for no apparent reason and never even release a video to stating that they were responsible (we supposedly intercepted a message that it was Al-Q).
- loquax, on 12/31/2007, -1/+5Few, if any, of the army would blow themselves up for a general. My money is on the extremists being the actual trigger people. However, I do bet there was a great deal of collusion and intelligence given to them in killing her. We forget that the Pakistani intelligence agency (ISI) was the Talliban's best friend for years.
- MrLunar, on 12/31/2007, -0/+4Ahahaha :')
- Scynet, on 12/31/2007, -2/+61. The bomb blast didn't kill others in the car, only her, supposedly.
2. The shooting was obvious in the video clip, if you watched it.
I don't know what you're trying to say. The people are angry because the government is trying to cover up the obvious shootings. Yes, you could call it a conspiracy, depending on your definition. And it's not a false conspiracy accusation either. - oMeSSiaHo, on 12/31/2007, -0/+4She had to be burried before sunset, its Islamic custom. They also didnt do an autopsy because again, its against the custom.
The whole hosing off the street thing was a bit shady, maybe they just wanted to clean up the blood. - bmr0003, on 12/31/2007, -0/+4In the video shot from the rear it looks like the shooter was the guy in dark greenish jacket that was walking up to driver's rear quarter panel and had the guy in the grey suit with white collar grabbing on to him. The news also pointed out the guy in the white cloak thing (whatever it is) and saying he was the suicide bomber. However, in the other video shot from the driver's side it is obviously the guy that was hanging on the back of the SUV that shot her. He's the guy wearing the dark green jacket and blue pants. From the two different angles it's easy to get it mixed up. I know it's irrelevant because either way she's dead, but you would think news agencies would pay more attention to the video evidence.
- norman619, on 12/31/2007, -3/+7Outside of your delusional world the US President doesn't have the power you like to think he does.
- tkotam, on 12/31/2007, -1/+5I don't get it. If it's a headshot, wouldn't her kids and her husband figure it out when they claimed her body? If it means so much, why aren't they saying anything...??
- da_bradler, on 12/31/2007, -0/+4thing is the car was bomb proof so they know the bomb didn't kill her, nobody else in the car died. it's almost like there trying to blame getting killed on her.
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -2/+6There were 3 shots followed by an explosion - besides it doesn't matter if there were 3 or 4 shots - who cares - one of them caught her squarely in the neck or head and as it passed through the expanded bullet lifted her hair and shawl - just like you would expect and she fell inside the car - just like you would expect from a neurological trauma wound such as severing the spinal chord or a shot to the head!
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -0/+4Al Jazeera has no affiliation with AQ.
- Shorties, on 12/31/2007, -5/+8And we never will, I say we look to the current and future events and worry about those, JFK is in the past. With today's technology there are cameras everywhere, no one/ no group will ever be able to get away with something like that ever again. I am glad the truth is being revielaled in this Bhutto case.
- bmr0003, on 12/31/2007, -1/+4It is very obvious the shooter is the man standing on the SUV's bumper! He's wearing a dark green jacket and blue pants. At 3:37 you see him standing on the bumper and leaning on the roof of the SUV with obviously a gun. The guy they point out in the beginning walking towards the SUV had nothing to do with it. It's so obvious and all the news agencies are getting the guys mixed up.
- Cl1mh4224rd, on 12/31/2007, -1/+4I'll say this every time I see that nonsense: She misspoke. Period.
She names Omar Sheikh (Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh), who murdered DANIEL PEARL in 2002. Omar Sheikh was arrested on February 12, 2002 by Pakistani police and has been in their custody ever since. - barakatx2, on 01/01/2008, -0/+3can you point me in the right direction to training to become a digg political expert? i wish i could realize facts out of thin air and always be right. if only i could watch this video and see the same thing a digg political expert sees.
- inactive, on 12/31/2007, -2/+5I haven't read anything about "eavesdropping." I assumed that since AQ has been responsible for multiple attempts on Bhutto's life, and since they claimed responsibility for the assasination, the governments in question simply drew the most obvious conclusion.
