- praisethelard, on 07/19/2009, -2/+112Reno 911 did it.
- erikwithaknotac, on 07/19/2009, -1/+98No, Seriously officers, I'm a cop. I'm just undercover....What? No, You're under arrest!
- Sakumi, on 07/19/2009, -6/+101I'm glad we have police to protect us from people "interested in selling a small amount of marijuana". What ever would be do without the police keeping the evil pushers away from us?
- D1Foley, on 07/19/2009, -2/+93"Statesville Police Chief Tom Anderson said undercover officers from his department were working a week-long case when they met with someone interested in selling a small amount of marijuana."
Wow good use of your week officers. - Rapter09, on 07/19/2009, -3/+83I'm a cop, you idiot!
- 49CentTacos, on 07/19/2009, -0/+74I have a feeling it went down something like this.
"You're under arrest!"
"No, you are!"
"...No, you are!"
"I said it first!" - anarcurt, on 07/19/2009, -4/+62I wish they tased him.
- Jaime2000, on 07/19/2009, -1/+58Yo dawg, I heard you like undercover operations, so we put an operation in your operation so you can arrest while you hide.
- BubonicLouie, on 07/19/2009, -2/+54Why is this news? Shouldn't the arrested cops explain himself during booking and then get released? They could then used the whole incident to improve the arrested cops cover, not make a news story about it.
- vtbarrera, on 07/19/2009, -7/+54*Insert relevant version of "yo dawg" meme here
- CeruleanRed, on 07/19/2009, -13/+59"Yo dawg, I heard you like drug stings. So we put a sting in your sting, so you can sting while you sting."
Meh, I tried. - inactive, on 07/19/2009, -6/+48Ah, the "war" on drugs continues to be a failure.
- acegi, on 07/19/2009, -1/+40my left hand just arrested my right hand yesterday for soliciting sexual favor to my penis.
- 3tcp, on 07/19/2009, -1/+40Don't worry, the meme had already been ruined before you butchered it.
- gozroth, on 07/19/2009, -0/+37I'm Detective John Kimble!
- 3tcp, on 07/19/2009, -2/+38Got laid off for being overqualified
- marmotjmarmot, on 07/19/2009, -0/+26"We had several large-scale operations going on at once, and the wires got crossed on this one." Wow, how many other dime bags did you nail?
- trafficlight, on 07/19/2009, -0/+26You can't triple stamp a double stamp!
- SaladCactusKing, on 07/19/2009, -0/+25Because they never saw The Departed.
- inactive, on 07/19/2009, -1/+24"Why am I under arrest? SHE'S THE ONE HOOKIN! I DIDN'T EVEN GET MY SUCK OFF!"
- Halsfield, on 07/19/2009, -2/+25Just imagine if the cops had shot him because they assumed he was a dangerous felon because he was selling drugs like they have so many times before...
- Frankyfan3, on 07/19/2009, -2/+25Not all cops believe in incarcerating people over drug use. Many of them are just doing their job, and working towards reforming the laws that they don't support, and waiting for the day that their mission as public servants isn't tarnished by the stink of corruption prohibition festers.
Law Enforcement Against Prohibition includes cops, probation officers, prosecutors, prison guards and addiction specialists who are fighting to reform our drug policies towards more Harm Reduction policies rather than criminalized prohibition.
Not because they want to smoke bud & shoot up heroine... but because they have seen the harm and pain caused by prohibition policies, and they know their services could be better allocated towards crimes that actually harm victims or property.
Police are public servants, and some of them are actually fighting to make that true... so that the choice to smoke pot over other medicines, or other recreational products isn't easily compared to committing an offense which actually violates another human being, you know... like vehicular homicide or rape. - bigthree, on 07/19/2009, -1/+23on the bright side at least they made an arrest...way to go guys!
- beachtrader, on 07/19/2009, -0/+21You know times are getting hard during a recession when you can't find a drug dealer or a buyer around.
Just cops selling illegal drugs to other cops. (job security??) - Cuongfu, on 07/19/2009, -0/+21Or in this case.. http://www.fallen-legion.eu/news/data/upimages/Dou ...
- Hewmin, on 07/19/2009, -0/+18Or maybe even..
http://bum.net/pics/facepalms.jpg - irkalla, on 07/19/2009, -5/+22And this, kids, is a wonderful example of why sting operations are retarded.
- kilsekddd, on 07/19/2009, -1/+18Then they all high-fived and rammed their nightsticks up the bum of a nearby illegal alien.
- inactive, on 07/19/2009, -2/+19Hahahaahahaha! (*gasp*) hahahahahahahaa! :D
- EddiePotato, on 07/19/2009, -2/+19My city requires of them a PhD in pain and a Masters in disaster.
- m0tbaillie, on 07/19/2009, -3/+19Many police forces require you to have at least a 4-year degree now.
- 3The3Dude3, on 07/19/2009, -0/+16Who is your daddy and what does he do?
- Gondring, on 07/19/2009, -3/+18Nearly happened once to my brother when he was undercover (not just for drug busts, btw). He was driving a car that the state DMV had neglected to change status on, so the plates came back "hot" when another cop ran them. Fortunately, one of the officers responding to the felony stop recognized him.
Can't wait til those government workers run our health care! - omgTHEPATRIOTS, on 07/19/2009, -2/+17Past tense? What happened Janinco?
- Janinco, on 07/19/2009, -13/+28I have a college degree and was a cop for seven years...try again.
- Frankyfan3, on 07/19/2009, -2/+17"The war on drugs is a war on families"
- Walter Cronkite RIP - Frankyfan3, on 07/19/2009, -0/+14Presbyterian,
by your logic, eating hydrogenated oils should be a crime.
And, I have to disagree, Zarakima... there are unwanted effects from drug use, but prohibition only exacerbates them. IE: easy access for uneducated kids, crime associated with drug use (theft/assault), tax dollars and criminal justice resources allocated towards adult drug consumption instead of other crimes which harm victims/property, lowered respect for the rule of law due to the existence of unnenforcable encroachments on individual liberty in the form of prohibition policy... etc. - bdigital24, on 07/19/2009, -1/+15So glad they were working so hard arresting each other over a "small amount of marijuana". Unbelievable waste of time and tax payer's money busting marijuana, let alone busting fellow cops for fake dealing marijuana. Hilarious.
- Misinformant, on 07/19/2009, -0/+13*sad trombone*
- ceredron, on 07/19/2009, -0/+13yeah, I was gonna say I could literally be tossed into any town in America with more than 5000 people and find a drug dealer in three days or less. I mean, honestly. Walk into bad part of town.
Done. - kaosethema, on 07/20/2009, -0/+13No, YOU'RE under arrest!
- gozroth, on 07/19/2009, -1/+13I always wondered if ***** like this ever happens!
- Super6, on 07/19/2009, -0/+11Sounds like a secretive transvestite
- crodragn, on 07/19/2009, -0/+11That's why I never let my left hand know what my right hand is doing.
- notzak, on 07/19/2009, -15/+26I feel the same way. I mean I just adore vehicular homicide, but you wouldn't believe how much of a stink they raise about it.
- emjaymj, on 07/20/2009, -0/+10"zarokima....By your logic using heroin would be ok."
And uh... why the hell not? It's only okay when people use the OTHER opioids, like...
Morphine
Codeine
Oxycodone
Hydrocodone
Dihydrocodeine
Hydromorphone
Oxymorphone
Fentanyl
Pethidine
Methadone
Propoxyphene
Tramadol
Buprenorphine
...and that's just a list of fairly ubiquitous opioids I can think of. - thizzlebot, on 07/19/2009, -4/+14They dont require you to be smart. Only have a paper that says your smart.
- inactive, on 07/20/2009, -0/+10"Yo dawg, sting sting sting sting sting sting sting sting sting sting sting sting."
I tried less! -
