- inactive, on 06/07/2008, -14/+275I hope they didn't find out that I ordered "F*ck Bush and his Fascist Swine", in paperback.
- alapoet, on 06/07/2008, -14/+162This is completely unacceptable -- WAY beyond the pale. Beyond that, it is sickening.
Bush and his entire administration should be impeached and, beyond that, imprisoned. They have done their utmost to destroy the freedoms that are at the core of America's identity.
LOL at your comment, yellowcakewalk!
Guess it's too late to keep these goons from finding out I special-ordered a dozen copies of "George W. Bush, Suck My F*cking D*ck"... - ileftfark, on 06/08/2008, -1/+118US Magistrate Judge Stephen Crocker: "It is an unsettling and un-American scenario to envision federal agents nosing through the reading lists of law-abiding citizens while hunting for evidence against somebody else."
How do I dig that comment? - anarchyx34, on 06/08/2008, -1/+112Big thumbs up to Amazon for not taking no *****.
- bluevillage, on 06/08/2008, -2/+106Good for amazon for not capitulating.
- StingingNettle, on 06/07/2008, -5/+59Uh oh, I just bought this: http://www.amazon.com/Whos-Who-Elite-Bilderbergs-T ...
- kingsal, on 06/08/2008, -3/+44Oh, man, they really weren't happy with Scott McClellen's book!
- inhaler, on 06/08/2008, -1/+39I knew the moment I bought "No god but God*," by Reza Aslan, I was put on a terrorist watch list.
*It's a book about the history of Islam. - Branchex, on 06/07/2008, -5/+39It's like they are being Big Brother just for the sake of it. Screw having even close to a good reason, the Constitution is full of rules made to be broken. Luckily they can't escape that whole term limits thing, but they probably thought about it.
- AlanFang, on 06/08/2008, -4/+32I guess they know I bought George Orwell's 1984 now.
- SlvrEagle23, on 06/08/2008, -2/+29New and Used, starting from $9.11!
- AlanFang, on 06/08/2008, -1/+26I got the hardcover.
- Peko, on 06/08/2008, -7/+28FTFA, Amazon didn't give them up. On one hand, you can go all ZOMGBIGBROTHER, or the other posibility is that a prosecutor (in the fraud case, FTFA) just asked/demanded for as much info as possible to make his/her job easierl not necessarily implying lack of good faith, just good laziness.
- dsmx, on 06/08/2008, -2/+21Another idiotic person who seems to think that anyone who says anything against bush is a liberal douche.
- Skurj, on 06/07/2008, -6/+24the gov't ignoring the constitution?
come on... without that there'd be nothing on digg but cute photos of kitties and top ten lists. - brstilson, on 06/08/2008, -1/+17What are they gonna do, arrest 70% of the American population because they hate Bush?
- dsmx, on 06/08/2008, -1/+16Correction ***** Bush and his fascist supporting grandfather.
- WorfoSAUR, on 06/08/2008, -5/+20You've got to be kidding me. How the heck can you bring Bush into this? I'm sure that he personally signed the order to demand the records from Amazon. As if the President of these United States would bother himself with some guy in Wisconsin who is accused of tax evasion and fraud.
- inactive, on 06/08/2008, -3/+17For not taking no *****? Double negative.. Amazon took a *****?
- abferry, on 06/08/2008, -0/+14The Patriot Act is completely ridiculous and needs to be removed from law.
- inactive, on 06/08/2008, -2/+16Oh - yes Dictator Bush can escape the whole term limits thing now because of his unconstitutional 25 Executive Orders - if there is an emergency of any kind - natural or another false flag attack he automatically becomes dictator for life. He then can take control of all major transportation, Energy, Medical, all major industries to include all agriculture. In addition to take full control over small ma and pa farms! I am not joking either. www.whitehouse.gov has all 25 executive orders listed.
- inactive, on 06/08/2008, -0/+13I got the E-book...in PDF.
- yojiffyskippy, on 06/08/2008, -1/+14Exactly. It looks like the system worked. Nothing to see, move along.
- wonderchemist, on 06/07/2008, -3/+16But, I know everyone deep down wants to know who's been buying fresh whole rabbit and uranium ore.
- THETEH, on 06/07/2008, -7/+19That's interesting. They were obviously trying to catch all the terrorists who, rather than being subtle and secretive as one might expect, openly ordered "How to blow things up"
- Porbeagle, on 06/08/2008, -0/+12I agree. Issues like these can definitely set apart the companies who will protect their consumers and those who won't. Good job Amazon.
- drexl, on 06/08/2008, -1/+13I got the audiobook....was expensive. Maybe I should have used bitorrent.
- precog29, on 06/08/2008, -3/+15The National Guard better ***** pick the people over the government when their in our streets getting ordered by FEMA to shoot anyone for some stupid dumb ass reason.
Next thing the Rex 84 list of 6 million American free thinkers and open minded intellectuals are arrested and taken to one of the more than several thousand detention centers in America created for this Exact Purpose - Goodanswer, on 06/08/2008, -3/+15 All they had to do was ask me and I would have told them...
Book #1 Green eggs and Spam ( how to get around govt internet control)
Book #2 Where the wild things are ( fascism running rampant in America today)
and my fav. Book #3 Harry Potter at Guantanamo Bay (A sorcerers tale of Bush's witchcraft against our Constitution.)
Ah.. the Classics.... - orxor, on 06/08/2008, -0/+12Amazon is surprisingly good about that kind of stuff. They're also taking NY state to court over NY state requiring them and other retailers to collect NY state sales tax. It's good for Amazon as well since people will be more inclined to buy from them but they could have just said they didn't have a choice and most people wouldn't give it much thought.
- Typhoon2009, on 06/08/2008, -0/+11time to hide my anarchist cookbook
- trickyt, on 06/08/2008, -0/+11The patriot act legitimized this sort of thing. Makes prosecutors think it's okay to demand such things.
- ayeroxor, on 06/08/2008, -1/+12Those 25-percenters can get pretty worked up.
- GoKings, on 06/08/2008, -2/+13My guess is that not many are going to actually read the article and find that the subpoena was blocked by the courts. It's called checks and balances. It's quite disturbing that they tried, but this certainly isn't a 1984 type thing.
- benecere, on 06/08/2008, -0/+11That's exactly true. Amazon didn't hand over the names on first amendment rights, however, it remains troubling that a warrant got issued in the first place.
A tiny business might not have the power and funds behind it to stand so tall against Uncle Sam's evil twin. - inactive, on 06/08/2008, -1/+12Good thing I buy mine from http://www.uraniumonline.com/ and not from Amazon.
- inactive, on 06/08/2008, -1/+12Knock Knock.
- zephyear, on 06/08/2008, -5/+15just needed to find who bought "Terrorism for Dummies"
- FreeTalkLIve, on 06/08/2008, -9/+18Shoulda had a Ron Paul.
/smacks head - yojiffyskippy, on 06/08/2008, -1/+9That's interesting. You didn't read the article but thought you would comment anyway.
- triferlinks, on 06/08/2008, -3/+11digg if you bought Lavey's Satanic Bible and Rituals off amazon.
- HxChris91, on 06/08/2008, -1/+9Support the message by buying his book...off amazon!
- Vostok, on 06/08/2008, -3/+11I have to say, where it was general policy of the government or just the prosecutor in this one case, big way to go for Amazon. We've seen a lot of companies (I'm looking at you telecom corporations) bowing down to the government just because it's the government. Nice to see a major corporation stop and say 'is this right'? before they act.
- PHiZ187, on 06/08/2008, -0/+8I'm shocked that they didn't just use a National Security Letter. The government has been using and abusing these instruments since they became available to law enforcement under the PATRIOT Act.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_security_let ... - inactive, on 06/08/2008, -0/+8Found it:
NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/NSPD 51
HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/HSPD-20
Subject: National Continuity Policy
Link: http://www.globalresearch.ca/index.php?context=vie ... - BlacklabelSAR, on 06/08/2008, -0/+7Does anyone remember the IRA?
- jellygraph, on 06/08/2008, -4/+11everyone in the bush administration should be jailed for 20 years + for crimes against humanity and for destroying democracy...
- acidbathfan, on 06/08/2008, -0/+6You will soon be investigated for the content of your Stumbleupon & Delicious accounts; everyone linked to you in your Friendfeed will be considered part of a terrorist network. Anything you have dugg will be used as proof that you are a supporter of Anti-Homeland Activities.
- aukxsona, on 06/08/2008, -2/+8Go Amazon! I have totally switched over from ebay.
