USS George Washington
buzzstoc.com — The first US nuclear-powered aircraft carrier to be permanently based overseas arrived in the Japanese port of Yokosuka on Thursday morning, welcomed by a US navy band and catcalls from Japanese protesters. The USS George Washington is a Nimitz-class aircraft carrier with a capacity for 75 aircraft. The flight deck is 1092 feet long.
