londonist.com — The BNP’s Nick Eriksen learnt this the hard way last week, after he was sacked as the party's London Assembly candidate for publishing jaw-droppingly obtuse views on rape on his blog. The post has since been removed, but luckily journalists were quick to spot the following:

The BNP is the British National Party, a minority political party commonly (and probably correctly) described as 'fascists'. They don't tend to express their admiration for Hitler quite so openly these days, but apparently "stemming and reversing the tide of non-white immigration" is still a major plank of their political platform. Eriksen's ignorant views are no more than you'd expect from a member of the BNP.

    The BNP is a fringe extremist party of racist nutjobs with absolutely no credibility. This kind of odious comment isn't even out-of-character for a BNP member, and I bet most of the BNP membership would probably (privately) applaud his comments.

    I don't know what Becky's story is, and neither do you. There are all kinds of reasons that people stay in domestic violence situations (fear, shame, guilt, hope that the person will change). No one should ever have to "take all responsibility" for being raped, ever.

    They had some kinda private music party and booked a DJ... well, the DJ actually turned out to be a black guy. Of course, being the DJ, he arrived at the venue before the BNP members turned up to set up his equipment. By the time the hierarchy members of the party arrived, the music party was in full swing and saw nothing but a bunch of skin heads dancing to the played music of a black DJ. They stormed out while apparently the ones who stayed dancing thought it was organized irony.
