- Mayday408, on 04/29/2009, -7/+68Damn fine driving by the cop, but he shouldn't of put those people at risk and got his fat pig ass out of the car and run after him.
- supertom, on 04/29/2009, -2/+52Naked Gun anyone?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6P2fwsNpZkI - haentz, on 04/29/2009, -0/+37Looks like a GTA police mission... With worse graphics.
- nysus, on 04/29/2009, -3/+35Two thoughts:
First, if that kid tripped, he's dead.
Second, if I lived in that apartment complex, I'd be enraged by how that cop disrespected my living space and endangered children and bystanders. - aadsfasdf, on 04/29/2009, -2/+26Regardless of the circumstances, if you want someone to stop running why would you chase them with a car trying to run them down?
- thinboyslim, on 04/29/2009, -3/+25Get out and run you fat *****!
- inactive, on 04/29/2009, -3/+25shouldn't HAVE!
- protogenxl, on 04/29/2009, -1/+20I was bored this Morning
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W6yEPYQPubs - hydrodev, on 04/29/2009, -2/+14Pretty sure it's not within his right to run the guy over.
- blackmesa, on 04/29/2009, -4/+14What the hell is "rampent"?
- snagglefoof, on 04/29/2009, -1/+11***** YOU IT'S RAMPANT!
*****! - alexllanio, on 04/29/2009, -3/+11This is super hypocritical and dangerous. Did you not see the innocent kid playing in the way?
- inactive, on 04/29/2009, -3/+11Actually, for one thing we don't what the dude did, and second the cop was a total ***** ***** to drive a car through a ***** playground, he should be fired instead.
- guytoronto, on 04/29/2009, -0/+8Seriously, who HASN'T wanted to drive through a townhouse community like that? I live in one. Just taking a shortcut...
- Hendo420, on 04/29/2009, -4/+11Laziest cop ever! This is the cop that drives around for 2 hrs looking for a drive through that serves doughnuts instead of getting his fat ass out of the car to get one. ROFL
- Skibadoweebop, on 04/29/2009, -3/+10Give me a break
- qwertycopter, on 04/29/2009, -1/+8The officer's job is to serve the community. Somehow 100 hours of community service doesn't seem like a punishment. If it hadn't been a cop, I'm sure the person would have been charged with reckless endangerment and attempted vehicular manslaughter.
- MasterPain, on 04/29/2009, -2/+8It seems a bit excessive trying to run down a teenager with a police car & then driving through peoples back yards. I hope he gets suspended atleast.
- vanguardanon, on 04/29/2009, -1/+7Dugg. Heck, we can't just let people go because they ran behind a house and it looked like decent driving to me.
- Rain12913, on 04/29/2009, -1/+6@Bohicket: You dumb jackass, Mayday408 never even said anything about the criminal. He mentioned concern for the innocent people walking around the apartment complex, like that little child at 23 seconds. The cop was flying blindly around corners and there very easily could have been a child standing there. I'm sure you'd be singing a different tune if he was weaving in and out of suburban backyards like this and not in some projects.
- HenryFatass, on 04/29/2009, -2/+7I have a message for each of them...
For the Cop: You're a piece of ***** for endangering the residents of that complex. If it were my kids I had to pull out of the path of your squad car, you would have had to taze me to death to keep me from destroying you.
For the fleeing suspect: Run somewhere a car can't follow...you know, like anywhere that's less than 8 feet wide. - w1cked1, on 04/29/2009, -1/+6I couldn't watch that and not have the mental image of a fat beer gut behind the wheel, frantically stuffing that last jelly donut into his chins just in case he has to get out of the car and getting angrier after spilling coffee on his camel toe.
- BiLLtheButch3r, on 04/29/2009, -2/+7"I AM THE LAW!" *splooge*
- Rain12913, on 04/29/2009, -1/+6No, but the guy sitting here making comments is not employed as a person whose job it is to chase down criminals. If your ***** job is to chase down criminals than your fatness is putting the public at danger.
- eavesdrop, on 04/29/2009, -4/+9That's clearly endangering the public.
- roho76, on 04/29/2009, -3/+8The people in that video that were put in harms way by the officer should sue him personally. He must be punished or the "I'll do anything I want too" police mentality will never go away.
- mHtt, on 04/29/2009, -0/+5and Leslie Nielsen as Lieut. Frank Drebin of...
- Vonauda, on 04/29/2009, -3/+8This was on a cop reality show a very long time ago.
- banderwocky, on 04/29/2009, -0/+4Through a playground....wow. Just friggin WOW. The lack of total common sense is unreal.
- Digg32539, on 04/29/2009, -0/+4Being a suspect doesn't make you a criminal.
- Rain12913, on 04/29/2009, -1/+5You really are a complete jackass, aren't you? Read what he said again. If you still don't get it (and you really should) read below.
aadsfasdf means that if the officer's primary intent was to apprehend the suspect, which presumably it was, how could chasing him in a police car possibly achieve this goal? By chasing him in the police car and bumping him in the ass when he slows down, the police officer is directly reinforcing the suspect's running, rather than discouraging it. After being hit in the ass, this guy now has it in his mind that if he stops or slows down he'll be run over, thus ensuring that he will never stop.
Surely this basic concept does not elude you. - Rain12913, on 04/29/2009, -1/+5Go to 23 seconds into the video and tell me that that little child wasn't in harm's way.
- Chairboy, on 04/29/2009, -0/+4I wonder if possibly you may have seen a different video...
- lothar250, on 04/29/2009, -0/+4Hahahaha, thanks so much!!!
- Mnementh2230, on 04/29/2009, -2/+6But he wasn't on the plane itself, and I don't believe, based on the news reports that I've read, that he ever had a say in the stunt. Yes, his OFFICE may have done it, but not him personally, as far as I'm aware.
- Mnementh2230, on 04/29/2009, -2/+5As much as I think the cop didn't do the right thing there, it was pretty damn funny.
- Lasereth, on 04/29/2009, -2/+5He definitely didn't handle the situation correctly but everyone is exaggerating what actually happened. Chasing criminals by car isn't that abnormal, and the officer definitely had control of the car, and he wasn't even going that fast. And check out the end of the video: the guy running is tired and out of breath, which is the exact purpose of the car pursuit. Keep in mind that the camera is also mounted in the car so that it can only point in one direction which gives the video a tunnel vision effect that the officer didn't actually have. His peripheral vision is what made him get through those tight sections without endangering anyone.
Furthermore, he wasn't "trying to run him over." Did you see him using the brakes?? Now bury me because Digg are cop haters! - maceelk, on 04/29/2009, -1/+4I disagree, he tried to run the man down. That's illegal in itself, not to mention the fact that he speed through front yards and a playground of all things. You think a 2 year old wouldn't have run out to see what all the commotion was all about and accidentally got killed?
- inactive, on 04/29/2009, -0/+3They don't care any more.
- Mnementh2230, on 04/29/2009, -5/+8Hey Winnestow - why don't you WAKE THE ***** UP AND READ THE NEWS! Obama wasn't on the plane!
- roho76, on 04/29/2009, -2/+5So I fail to see where the rights of the children and the baby in the stroller that the police officer almost ran over trying to run this guy over comes into play in your argument.
- Chairboy, on 04/29/2009, -1/+4When did anteaters get internet access?
- CaesarBlue, on 04/29/2009, -0/+3 For some more info here is an article about the incident and the trial.
http://www.thestate.com/crime-and-courts/story/766 ... - Sillywombat, on 04/29/2009, -2/+5True; but just because your a fat ***** you cant be bothered to run doesnt give you the permission to that. Even if you are following a suspect.
- Piha, on 04/29/2009, -1/+4Grand Theft Auto has a lot to answer for...
- Bearser, on 04/29/2009, -2/+5How do you know he was fat? Just assuming because he was a cop. I guess we should just assume that all blacks are criminals......I like the way you think.....
- Rain12913, on 04/29/2009, -0/+3What makes it so obvious that he knew what he was doing? I'd say the fact that he was taken to court and sentenced to 100 hours of community service is a pretty good indication that he didn't, in fact, know what he was doing. A cop who knew what he was doing would have caught the suspect and not incurred disciplinary action that likely cost taxpayers thousands upon thousands of dollars.
Not to mention the fact that 1. nowhere does it say that this suspect was actually apprehended and 2. the video ends with the officer parking his car while the suspect continues to run, so clearly this method of tiring out the suspect didn't work well enough to warrant sticking with in the officer's mind.
And no, the concepts of fatigue and muscle failure do not elude me, but apparently the notion that police officers should be fitter than the low-life criminals they chase does elude you. Shouldn't this officer be fit enough so that he can, in conjunction with his gun and non-lethal subduing tools, catch this guy in a normal foot pursuit? Apparently you don't think so. - Bearser, on 04/29/2009, -7/+10Why isn't any one mad at the guy who ran for "driving under the influence, endangering children while driving, driving without a license and other charges, according to records." You idiots act like the cop just picked someone at random to drive after through an apartment complex. He was trying to catch a criminal! He maybe coulda done it different but jeeze!!!!!!
- UrrbinLegind, on 04/30/2009, -0/+3Why run when you can drive, you don't run to your job. If I could drive to the copier, by god I would.
- HenryFatass, on 04/29/2009, -0/+3What exactly does Holly's regularity have to do with this?
