- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -194/+402***** that. He wrote some of the presidents speeches and was responsible for helping the president spread the message of fear to the populace. He wasn't some great American figure, he was just a cog in the Bush propaganda machine. If he had any credibility at all, he would have never taken the job.
- HanFastolfe, on 07/12/2008, -243/+43953 is waaaay too young! RIP Tony, my condolences to his family.
- nobody98, on 07/12/2008, -64/+190I'm confused are the comments sarcastic or not *scratches head*
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -46/+171As much I hated him, I never wish death upon anyone. RIP
- ktorbeck, on 07/12/2008, -222/+318I only got to meet Tony once, and I can so no matter what side of the politic world you are from, you always walked away from meeting him liking him. He is greatlly going to be missed.
It really is a sad day. - rebotfc, on 07/12/2008, -116/+208You forgot /sarcasm
- Murrabbit, on 07/12/2008, -112/+196There were plenty of other guys at Fox News that this should have happened to instead.
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -83/+161Nothing but the truth when he told us Iraq had WMDs.
- Misinformant, on 07/12/2008, -49/+120You think he's in heaven...?
- DooM, on 07/13/2008, -28/+90At the same time - you don't LIE about the dead simply because they are dead. I'll agree that it's unnecessary to impugn his character but you can't do the opposite and feel like you're a good person. Pol Pot is dead; Stalin is dead - I'm not going to make them seem like less than the ***** people they were simply because they're no longer around. AND NOT THAT I"M COMPARING TONY SNOW TO THOSE GUYS. Just sayin'.
- inactive, on 07/12/2008, -108/+166rip mr. snow. I didn't agree with your politics but you got your points across in a classy and gentlemanly manner.
- xtinamo, on 07/12/2008, -99/+144I'm impressed that diggers chose to digg up the Fox News submission. Very classy.
- gcnaddict, on 07/12/2008, -18/+61Okay, I feel bad that he died, but come on, he defended a war with over a million lives lost because it was his job. He didn't leave the job because he was troubled, he left because of financial issues.
Where are the news reports for the guys that really helped make a difference (or tried to), like every soldier in Iraq? - Augie1969, on 07/13/2008, -21/+63Seems like the neocon internet brigade is out in full force today.
- SIRBERUS, on 07/13/2008, -66/+108Uhhhhh... I believe it is in bad taste, and immoral to celebrate someone's death. But the man was not a good man.
It's a shame he died at such a young age, and my prayers are with his family... but he was a bad man. It's fine if everyone wants to not say anything... but to pretend like he was a good man is just... off. - BevansDesign, on 07/12/2008, -42/+83Praising a ***** AND mentioning prayer? You must be new to Digg.
- spilk, on 07/13/2008, -13/+52I was thinking the same thing. I've never before seen so many instances of supernatural horsecrap in digg comments. I think digg is being gamed by nutjobs.
- Cheezo, on 07/12/2008, -215/+253rip
- coollettuce, on 07/12/2008, -36/+70What the ***** is up with these comments? It's like Fox news just bought digg.
- Spektr4, on 07/12/2008, -16/+49Both sides have their ***** and nutjobs. Wait for Ted Kennedy to die, then check the comments posted at a right-wing site. You can't take examples of the worst of the left, or the right, and make them out to be stand-ins for the whole lot of them.
- rossiohead, on 07/13/2008, -10/+41Yeah, because his kids dying will definitely advance whatever political opinions you have.
- dsmx, on 07/12/2008, -35/+65By that reasoning every Uranium mining company in the world has WMD's, in response to the idiot that is quadzeroroute.
- Demaskee, on 07/13/2008, -7/+36Why the hell would anyone digg this coment down?
- Norseman, on 07/12/2008, -41/+69Are all of these comments sarcastic? Or did a bunch of Republicans just troll digg?
- wukillabee, on 07/13/2008, -16/+43damn i wonder what kind of comments well have once bush and cheney die
- thwesef, on 07/13/2008, -22/+48This whole conversation is depressing.
No person should find joy in another's death, liberal or conservative. Death is the failure of life. That is nothing to celebrate, if you agreed with him or not.
But let's not dismiss Mr. Snow as a mouthpiece of the Administration, that was his JOB as a press secretary, not his passion in life. He criticized Bush before and after he held the post.
And for those who say "he got what he deserved", etc consider the hypocrisy of opposing war as a senseless waste of life and then lauding a no-less senseless death due to cancer, a bipartisan killer. - GuacamoleSan, on 07/13/2008, -22/+48Thank you someone had the balls to say he wasn't that great of a guy.
- DarkShroud, on 07/13/2008, -10/+35I hope you're sterile.
- dannyboy3020, on 07/12/2008, -19/+44Are you guys seriously reporting him for expressing his opinion? Not that I agree with him, but come on...
- cyclades, on 07/12/2008, -21/+46I didn't agree with his politics but cancer of the ass is no way to go.
- stockgotti, on 07/12/2008, -39/+64"Go and tell that long tongue liar... Sooner or later, God will cut you down" - Johnny Cash
- tljenson, on 07/12/2008, -41/+65I am sorry to hear he died, but he wasn't a great man I am sorry. He was a man like many of us flawed in many ways. I hated what he stood for and refuse to call him a great man. But I find it sad that he died before his time.
- subliminali, on 07/12/2008, -23/+46quote from the time.com article about him:
"Not everybody will survive cancer," Snow told reporters then, "but on the other hand, you have got to realize you've got the gift of life, so make the most of it. That is my view, and I'm going to make the most of my time with you." - takamalak, on 07/13/2008, -13/+36They are all newly registered. Probably sent like a bunch of ditto heads to spin their man out of hell. Too bad a. It doesn't exist and b. His infamy will live forever.
- roho76, on 07/12/2008, -41/+63***** this guy. He was a mouth piece for one of the most destructive and murderous Presidential Administrations in history. He lied to the American people knowing full well that he was lying. This is inexcusable. And for all of you praising this guy, shame on you. The world is a better place without him, trust me.
I don't like to talk about people like this but this guy made me so mad. He could have done the right thing and spilled the beans but he chose not to. ***** you Tony, I hope you burn in hell, buddy. I hope it was worth it. - InetRoadkill, on 07/12/2008, -64/+84Umm, is was the same Tony "Snow Job" Snow who was part of Bush's propaganda and disinformation machine?
@QuadZeroRouteQuadZeroRoute: That yellow cake was never a secret and was approved by the UN and the IAEA. It was not weapons grade nor was it usable for a dirty bomb. Nice try with the disinformation. Tony would be proud. - inactive, on 07/13/2008, -12/+30Gee, I've been a "right winger" for the past 20 years and I've been praying for Sen. Kennedy's full recovery since the announcement of his brain tumor. Try again...
- EddietheHated, on 07/13/2008, -4/+23You live through cancer, or live with a direct relative who has suffered through the atrocity that is cancer, and then you come back and say that.
Ignorant *****. - MasterGrief, on 07/12/2008, -24/+43He may not have been a fine person, but you're a terrible one.
- patpl22391, on 07/12/2008, -14/+32I dugg you up, but, must we use caps?
- f15ric, on 07/12/2008, -34/+52Even the greatest fighter knows when to stop with the rhetoric out of respect for a good person or his family. The fact that some people don't leads me to believe they have been hit too many times on the head, thus forming the liberal. It is the "Big Bang on The Head Theory."
- Gerbil_Juice, on 07/13/2008, -6/+23It's only a problem when ***** such as yourself type annoyingly long words for the sake of bitching about said word not wordwrapping.
- RickHavoc, on 07/13/2008, -11/+28I'm pretty damn liberal but that doesn't preclude me from having respect for people with whom I disagree.
- trevorjez, on 07/12/2008, -31/+47i feel bad for the fact that he died, but seriously. this guy helped carry on the lies this country has been fed. sad he died, but still pissed he lied.
- depro9, on 07/12/2008, -6/+23Yes this guy did SUCK!
- teraken, on 07/12/2008, -9/+26why are you a sweeping generalization spewing *****?
- patpl22391, on 07/12/2008, -12/+29Yeah, he did a great job in his appearance. If you haven't seen it check it out on comedy central's website.
- BevansDesign, on 07/12/2008, -21/+37All I can say is, it's a good thing for ***** that there is no afterlife.
- 7thchild, on 07/12/2008, -56/+72This is something everyone has grown to expect from Far Left Nuts like Daily Kos.
Tony Snow was one of the few people on television you could turn to if you wanted honesty. His fight with cancer has been an inspiration to cancer victims around the world.
He would always let you know his political views as a Conservative but he never let his political bias interfere with telling the American people the truth.
The Daily Kos is simply despicable for saying anything that disparages the integrity of a great American, but then Daily Kos has no integrity to begin with. - BevansDesign, on 07/12/2008, -30/+46Jeez, the nutballs really come out of the woodwork every time something from Faux News hits digg, don't they?
Anyway, regardless of how I feel about Snow's politics, I always hate to see someone taken down by cancer.
Oh, and buried for being Fox News. -
