- techresearcher, on 01/15/2008, -11/+77The morons in the Bush administration don't even know the difference between Sunni and Shia Muslims, and have been trying to make it appear as if Iran (which is Shia) has been harboring Al Qaeda (strictly Sunni; they consider Shia Muslims apostates, and killed many of them in Iraq's recent and ongoing civil war). The sad thing is, not only is the dumb-ass American public (thats us) buying into this (because it's easier to be afraid than to carefully think things through), but our congress, which has as part of its duty the role of informed decision making, is also buying into this load of crap.
- sealbeater, on 01/15/2008, -7/+50This is highly worth watching!!! Very good and very important for us as citizens to educate ourselves on the true state of affairs in the world.
- kalleanka, on 01/15/2008, -4/+36I'm afraid that the people who really should be watching this and learn from it are not the same people as us who actually take the time to watch it.
Dugg for a very informative video more people should watch to avoid another trillion dollar war we do not afford. - AlexPod, on 01/15/2008, -5/+36This administration is certainly getting lazy with their cover-ups.
- bmdubya, on 01/15/2008, -5/+34Great video. I can't believe the public buys the crap about a war on terrorism. There is no war on terrorism. Its basically the same as the war on drugs. You are never going to win. You are just going to hurt a lot of innocent people, and spend a lot of money doing it. If there were "terrorists" who wanted to hurt the American public because they are free, I think they would do something worse than destroy two towers and put a hole in the Pentagon. Now I'm not saying that 9/11 was an inside job, but I'm saying that it makes sense to me that if they actually wanted to hurt us, they would target something that had the chance of killing more people at once.
Also, I think Digg users should set up a website, and write a bill together about wars overseas and liberating countries. Anyone can write a bill for Congress as long as we can find a sponsor. - bustaballs, on 01/15/2008, -2/+27I love this guy. He was in a documentary explaining how Iraq couldn't have had WMDs many years ago. He's a pro and knows his *****. I'm glad he's out there shouting the truth.
- pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -4/+26It's not antiwar propaganda. It's the truth.
- pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -0/+21I suddenly feel like a douchebag for not knowing the difference between Shia and Sunni Muslims.
- Berkana, on 01/15/2008, -3/+22In case you didn't know, there was an organized attempt by those he exposed to slander and discredit Scott Ritter. He actually was an UN inspector (that alone makes him plenty credible), and so much of his anti-war activity has come at his own expense that I think you should take pieces slandering or discrediting him with a grain of salt.
- Berkana, on 01/15/2008, -3/+21There's more that Scott Ritter revealed:
Please digg these. These need to be seen:
Weapons of Mass Delusion: how weapons inspections were subverted to overthrow Saddam

And for those who don't know our history of deposing democratically elected leaders to install compliant dictators, see this:
http://www.digg.com/2008_us_elections/Is_Ron_Paul_ ... - tyywebb, on 01/15/2008, -1/+18So according to my understanding, if the Republicans get elected, we go to war with Iran. If the Democrats get elected, we go to war with Iran. Can someone clear this up for me or are we just *****?
- inactive, on 01/15/2008, -4/+19It's not that they buy it, it's that they approve of these tactics. There's a very sick ideology in Washington these days. It's like how they voted to not even talk about impeachment when Kucinich presented his resolution to impeach Cheney. These people agree to this.
This guy won the presidential medal of freedom in 2004:
http://www.commentarymagazine.com/viewarticle.cfm/ ... - Andareed, on 01/15/2008, -3/+18If you read the article on Iran's nuclear program ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nuclear_program_of_Ir ... ) it seems pretty clear that Iran is interested in a peaceful program for the purpose of power generation. If you take a look at the US stance (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iran_and_weapons_of_m ... ) it's pretty obvious that the US is extremely antagonizing and grasping at straws. And before someone shouts that I'm quoting Wikipedia, everything in the articles is sourced.
- Berkana, on 01/15/2008, -2/+16Scott Ritter was a former Marines Inteligence officer. I'm sure he was adequately competent for the task when he became an UN inspector.
- Berkana, on 01/15/2008, -3/+17Exactly! Terrorism is a *tactic*. You can't win a war on a tactic; you can only win it on a specific enemy. Sure, Al Qaeda is an enemy, but there are countless others they can line up after them under the label "terrorist". A war we can't win is a war we can't end, and a war you can't end will give the president and whomever ends up continuing where he leaves off justification to rob us of our civil liberties in the name of wartime security pretty much forever.
I, however, will say that 9/11 was an inside job. The war on Iraq was planned from the very first days of the administration with maps of oil fields on the table as part of the planning, according to Paul O'Neil, his former treasury secretary: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=inyCkCvqRO0
"Go find me a way to do this!"--George W. Bush.
See this for the evidence that 9/11 was an inside job:

http://www.youtube.com/view_play_list?p=BD3722BFCC ... - inactive, on 01/15/2008, -1/+14That article is dated in Sept 2002, when the national media's zeitgeist was to beat the drums of war. Ritter constantly said that Iraq did not have the capacity to produce WMDs because he personally destroyed them. It was because of his thorough work with UNSCOM that Saddam ejected the inspector in 1998, citing him personally as the major thorn in his side. Anyway, Ritter predictions played out in the aftermath of the war with his credibility intact.
As far as Iran is concerned, suggest reading Sey Hersh's articles in the New Yorker where he states that covert ops have found no sign of secret nuclear activity. This is usually done through air samples to detect radio active signatures of uranium enrichment at suspected sites. - pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -0/+13He knows the difference between a Sunni and a Shia. That makes him smarter than the Bush administration.
- inactive, on 01/15/2008, -5/+18You don't hear this kind of rational thinking from the mainstream media. Scott Ritter is bang on with his assessment of Iran. They are no threat. The military industrial complex just wants to get their grubby hands on Iran and destroy it like they did Iraq so they could make trillions. People of America stand up and vote Ron Paul and change the goddamn government and get the neocon scum out!
Also 9/11 was an inside job. Google "Loose Change" - Berkana, on 01/15/2008, -0/+13The documentary you're talking about is this:
Weapons of Mass Delusion: a weapons inspector tells all.
http://www.digg.com/political_opinion/Weapons_of_M ... - tyywebb, on 01/15/2008, -0/+11Well my parents are gonna watch it that's for sure.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gas_centrifuge - Berkana, on 01/15/2008, -2/+13I am a patriot and am willing to give my life defending my country from enemies foreign and domestic. I am also a social conservative. I did not post this to rant about how evil America is; I'm posting this because Americans as a whole have been deceived by the Bush administration. I too was fooled by his "compassionate conservatism" *****, but conservatism under Bush has become the most brutal thing that has ever happened to America. We need to be honest with ourselves: our government, acting in the name of our country, has not always been the good guy overseas. You would be naive to think that any criticism of America amounts to hating it. It is written "take the log out of your own eye before you inspect the speck in your brother's eye"; conservatives, as a whole (except for Ron Paul) have exhibited exactly that kind of hypocrisy. If you love America, expose the evil that leads to the unnecessary slaughter of our best sons in a fight to secure the profits of corporations. Energy independence IS national security. You don't have to be a tree-hugger to understand that.
- kballweg, on 01/15/2008, -1/+12It's no longer just folks like the Digg Community, it's getting to be the majority of America.
Consider it the backlash for years of pro War propaganda that's proving out to be premeditated lies by the neocons. - pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -4/+15I suppose that you're convinced that if they had nuclear weapons that they'd attack us instantly?
It SCARES ME that people are actually getting worked up about Iran. It's SO CLEAR that this is more of Bush LYING.
Remember the last time we heard about WMDs? Then we invaded Iraq... NO WMDs. Remember? Please man. Snap out of it. Bush and the TV news are hocking lies. Wise up already. - chkdg8, on 01/15/2008, -3/+13Scott Ritter has been around for a long time singing the same song and dropping truth bombs while continuously being ignored by the MSM. He used to be all over the media until he started telling everyone what was really happening in Iran and that ***** wasn't flying with this administration. Online media like youtube and the likes are the biggest enemy that any corrupt government or organization can face. The house of cards is bracing for a very hard and swift fall and it will be televised for the world to see.
- makkaveli19, on 01/15/2008, -0/+10okay, here is the summary. after muhammed there was to be a "leader" or "imam" however these two groups each picked a different first imam(for shias it's ali, but i forgot the sunni's) and that then led to a bunch of successors which came after each one. branching them out.
please pardon any sentence fragments, i've been drinking tonight. - jimbo92107, on 01/15/2008, -1/+11See why Scott Ritter is never given extended time on TV? He'd blow the neocons out of the water.
- pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -2/+11I love America, and that's why I hate the people who are destroying it. Considering it seems as though you're completely confused let me explain. The Neo-cons are destroying America. We've got a national debt of over $30,000 per person. This was almost entirely the fault of republican administrations over the past 30 years. We invaded Iraq knowing full well that they didn't pose any threat to America. Now Bush wants to invade Iran and he's making ***** up to support that Desire. Do some research and get back to me. Look up the histories of Dresser Industries and K.B.R. Until You've done that I don't want to hear what you have to say, and I BEG you not to vote.
- pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -2/+11That's how far things have gone. People see truth, and IT seems like propaganda.
Gotta hand it to the news industry. They've really got to you. - tyywebb, on 01/15/2008, -1/+10............I'm waiting to see if you get buried so deep you pop out somewhere in China.
- inactive, on 01/15/2008, -2/+11Digg broke the link:
http://www.commentarymagazine.com/viewarticle.cfm/ ... - Berkana, on 01/15/2008, -0/+9Not quite true, but pretty close. The problem is, we have a monetary system based on credit. Every dollar we have in circulation was borrowed, and needs to be paid back with interest. We can't pay off the national debt without destroying the money supply. That is essentially the problem We have a fundamentally corrupted monetary system. But to be honest, there are better ways of using credit than on death and destruction. War itself is not necessary to sustain our economy under our flawed system, it just happens to be something the government 1) isn't willing to raise taxes to finance, and 2) is willing to borrow money for so the responsibility for paying the taxes falls on the people in office after the ones responsible for borrowing the money are safely out of office and out of reach of consequences.

- felman87, on 01/15/2008, -1/+10war saps the economy. Why is the dollar so weak? Because we spend too much money that we simply don't have.
- Petron10, on 01/15/2008, -3/+12An absolutely beautiful speech. I'm going to make sure to do some research on my own to truly get a grasp of everything that has gone awry since the Bush administration has put a stranglehold on OUR country. Unless you already have a complete grasp on the situation, I hope those of you who have seen this video will do the same.
- buckrogers1965, on 01/15/2008, -0/+9Google the guy, he is a former marine officer, and was personally responsible for destroying all of Sadam's weapons of mass destruction. He publicly stated that Iraq had no remaining WMD's before the Iraq invasion. He was 100% correct. He knows most of the international weapons inspectors in the middle east on a first name basis.
- kballweg, on 01/15/2008, -0/+8Actually both appear to be right. The war did feed the economy, by borrowing the funds to pay for it from China; just as the economy was fed by consumer borrowing. However, once the bill and interest on the bill get large enough for the lenders to call in their markers, all this borrowing will sap the economy.
No nation would dream of having a war and giving tax cuts to the rich, unless they wanted to loot the treasury while people are distracted by the constant threats drummed up to keep them off guard. The bills for BushCo will come in for years, as will the evidence of fraud and corruption. - makkaveli19, on 01/15/2008, -0/+8second link was amazing, thank you
- lanemik, on 01/15/2008, -0/+7This coming from someone with the username "ufia." http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=ufi ...
Nice. - pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -1/+8The news media intentionally conspires to control public opinion.
Watch. http://www.pbs.org/moyers/journal/btw/watch.html
Essentially... the old adage "don't believe what you see on TV" has never been more true. TV is not concerned with the greater good. It's principals are not bound by any ideals. For the past 8 years the major news stations have been unwavering in their support of Bush, and in itheir support for his wars. It is "warmongering corporate media". That's a totally accurate statement. - DigitAl56K, on 01/15/2008, -2/+9"The fools in charge don't even know the difference between Suni and Shia Muslims."
Yes they do. It just doesn't suit their intentions to make a distinction. The Bush administration are liars and warmongers, they're not (all) idiots. - makkaveli19, on 01/15/2008, -0/+7well iranians have always been shia's. i'm from there(i'm not a muslim really, i'm drunk as you can tell. but i believe in god and doing the right thing. also believe in evolution. trust me there are many more like me) anyways. Arabs are mostly sunni's, also sunni's out number shia's i think around 3 to 1 don't quote me on it tho. it's not that hard to find this information anywhere on the web with a quick search. getting the info from me might be biased because from what i learned in iranian schools(sunni's are wrong blah blah).
P.S from looking back at the sentence and trying to make sense out of it, i think your best bet is to look it up from a reputable source. :) good night mate - notoneofus, on 01/15/2008, -0/+7I left it. Yet I continue to love it, and will continue to argue and fight against the further degradation of the freedoms America once stood for.
- makkaveli19, on 01/15/2008, -6/+13i repeat. You're brainwashed
- pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -0/+6I'm going to learn the difference between Sunni and Shia muslems. That's for sure.
- facewarts, on 01/15/2008, -0/+6“Propaganda does not deceive people; it merely helps them to deceive themselves.”
Eric Hoffer - pimpofpixels, on 01/15/2008, -0/+6Buried for reminding me that John Ritter is dead.
- makkaveli19, on 01/15/2008, -0/+5i'm very sorry to say but, it's been going on long before the bush administration. The bush administration just has been too stupid to keep it under the covers. manipulation is nothing new to the wealthy and the powerful.
edit- don't mean all rich people, just the corrupt. - makkaveli19, on 01/15/2008, -0/+5not to be a smartass or anything but i've written a very brief and drunken answer to that a couple posts up. :)
